The theoretical focus in this master is information retrieval (IR), and especially the part of IR that includes interactivity. This research is by some researchers called IIR. Our principal aim was to examine if search engines on the WWW are taking advantage of research results from IIR research. A way to do this is to look at the application of special features, in this case query expansion (QE) and relevance feedback (RF). Both these methods aim for a better matching of documents and the searchers information need.

Introduction: Domestic violence is a big public health problem and the hiddennumbers over victims are big. There is a lack of scientific research in the Nordiccountries when it comes to how the health- and medical care identify and care for thevictims of domestic violence. Aim: This literature review has two aims: To investigatewhat kind of methods maternal health services, child health services and gynecologyclinics in the Nordic countries use to discover women and children exposed to domesticviolence and to investigate if there are any guidelines to go by when a victim ofdomestic violence is identified. Method: A literature review. 12 articles were found inPubMed, Scopus and Cinahl and three more were included after a Manual search.

This study is a part of a larger project where the aim has been to evaluate different methods to assure the quality in stallion semen, due to the fact that some stallions in horse breeding have poor semen quality. The increased use of transport semen requires new methods to ensure good semen quality. In this part of the project the viability and concentration in fresh and cooled semen was examined with NucleoCounter SP-100. A comparison between two different commercially available semen extenders, Kenney?s and INRA 96, was made.

Facilitated by the breakthrough of the internet, new ways of organizing internet-based projects that harness the power of the crowds are becoming increasingly common. Today there are ways of using the crowd as paid labour, as funders of your new project ventures and even for helping scientists doing science. Staying true to its traditional principles of objectivity and trustworthiness while asking the crowd to contribute, crowd generated ?Citizen Science? does not provide even the slightest amount of pay in exchange for the time and effort put in by their contributors. Surely there can not be many people willing to do such a thing voluntarily? Actually, practice is showing the exact opposite with contributions counted in their millions among the more popular Citizen Science projects.

A new phonological test, LINUS, for Swedish-speaking children between the ages of three and seven, has been developed at the speech and language pathology department at Linköping University. The aim of the present study was to create a reference Manual for the long version of the new test. The participants in the present study were children between the ages of five to seven in a medium-sized municipality in the Northern part of Kalmar County, Sweden. In total, 124 native Swedish-speaking children (58 girls and 66 boys) with typical language development participated. The children were divided into two age groups, 5;0-5;11;31 and 6;0-6;11;31 years.

Wetlands play an important role in the ecosystem. They reduce the impact of flow flux in the drainage area, acts as upholder of biodiversity, as an esthetic and recreational component in the landscape and they have the ability to reduce nutrients such as nitrogen, and help preventing eutrophication in costal areas.The number of wetlands in Scania have, due to the intensified agriculture been reduced to maximize the area suitable for crops.However since the mid 80th the consequences of this has been acknowledged, and many wetlands have been restored.This master?s thesis aim to see what impact this development have had on wetlands in Scania over the last 60 years. And also look at some of those factors important for the efficiency of nitrogen removal in wetlands. During the process a detailed Manual for inventories of this sort was created.The material used to execute the inventory of wetlands where aerial photographs over Scania from the 1940th, 1980th and 2000.

I Sverige finns ett brett utbud av föräldrastödsinsatser. Trots att 1,5 miljoner av Sveriges invånare är utrikesfödda riktar sig endast 4 av 60 föräldrastödsinsatser till utrikesfödda föräldrar. Att blanda föräldragrupper med inrikes- och utrikesfödda föräldrar kan bidra till social interaktion mellan människor som inte med självklarhet kommer i kontakt med varandra i vardagslivets olika aktiviteter. Det finns ingenting som säger att en föräldrakurs är givande för en utrikesfödd förälder bara för att en inrikesfödd förälder har utvärderat kursen som positiv. Det finns forskning som visar på att det kan vara svårt att arbeta med föräldrastöd när deltagarna har skilda föreställningar om vad en bra familj och förälder bör vara.

Hur påverkas socialarbetares handlingsutrymme och relation till brukare i arbete medManualbaserade metoder, enligt de yrkesverksamma? Vilka hinder kan uppstå när Manualbaserademetoder importeras och används i svenska förhållanden? Hur kan den lokala organisationen tahänsyn till dessa kulturella skillnader? Vad kan arbete med Manualbaserade metoder innebära försocialarbetarna? Hur påverkas professionen och socialarbetarnas syn på sin yrkesroll?Vad kanarbete med Manualbaserade metoder, enligt socialarbetarna, innebära för brukare?Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur arbete med Manualbaserade metoder, i en utvaldstadsdel i Göteborg, kan påverka det sociala arbetet som profession, samt hur det kan påverkasocialarbetare och brukare. Vi har intervjuat tio socialarbetare, verksamma inom behandlande ochförebyggande arbete med barn och familjer. Dessa semi-strukturerade intervjuer analyserar viutifrån begreppen humanism, etiska värden, normer och värderingar samt teorier ombehandlingsarbete och bemötande i socialt arbete.För de yrkesverksamma finner vi att arbetet med Manualbaserade metoder kan leda till enlojalitetskonflikt mellan rollerna hjälpare och utvärderingsassistent. Relationen till brukarnaförändras så att teknik, kompetens och ekonomiska värden får ökad betydelse, kanske på bekostnadav humanistiskt hänsynstagande.

Iliotibialt friktions syndrom (ITFS) är en av de vanligaste överbelastningsskadorna som drabbar knäet. Traditionellt har skadan betraktats som ett friktionssyndrom, senare studier har dock hävdat att en kompression av underliggande fettvävnad är orsaken till diagnosen. Etiologin och patologin bakom diagnosen har därmed inte kunnat fastställas. Kliniskt tillämpas stretching, styrketräning av höftabuktorer, neuromuskulär korrigering och myofaschiella behandlingsmetoder i rehabiliteringen av ITFS. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att sammanställa det vetenskapliga underlaget för behandlingsmetoder vid iliotibialt friktions syndrom.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på Kvaerner Pulping i Karlstad. Kvaerner Pulping är ett globalt företag, ledande inom tillverkning av maskiner och anläggningar till pappers- och massaindustrin. I samband med företagets anläggningar i Karlstad finns det ett reservdelslager som används dels för förebyggande underhåll men också vid akutsituationer världen över. Målet med examensarbetet är att ge företaget ett mer ekonomiskt och serviceinriktat reservdelslager med hjälp av en bättre lagerstyrning. För att skapa en bättre lagerstyrning beslöts att arbetet skulle följa en trestegsprocess: • Utvärdering av samtliga artiklar för att se vilka som är relevanta för lagerhållning samt utveckla en modell för hur detta kan uppdateras kontinuerligt eller i tidsintervall.

A possible "discursive turn" is believed to have been observed within Swedish political science in later years. The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not such a turn has actually taken place, in order to further determine if a resulting theoretical homogeneity poses a risk to the ability of Swedish political science to identify and respond to its full width of possible research problems, and to determine its perspectives on both these problems and the results that are later communicated to the general society. To do so, the study poses the following primary research question:"Has a discursive turn occurred within Swedish political science?"This question is then broken down into two specified research questions."Has discourse analysis become a more common approach for doctoral dissertations in political science during the period of 2000-2013?""Have ideas corresponding with discourse theory become more common within doctoral dissertations in political science that are not pure discourse analyses during the period of 2000-2013?"These questions are then answered by examining all known 406 doctoral dissertations in political science published in Sweden during the 21st century up until (and including) the year of 2013, using two forms of content analysis, one Manual and one computer-assisted. The study finds no clear evidence of a discursive turn in Swedish political science since the turn of the century.

Service levereras av frontlinepersonal till turister. Frontlinepersonalen har betydelse för hur servicen levereras. Jag har inte funnit någon detaljerad inventering vad serviceleveranser innehåller. Däremot finns det teorier som berättar hur företagsledningar ska leda personalen som levererar service.

Uppdraget har handlat om att kartlägga en ekonomisk modell för nyutvecklings- och uppgraderingsinvesteringar. Modellen är en investeringskalkyl baserat på olika tidsperioder vilka är projekt, produktion och eftermarknad. Lönsamhetsmodellen, som den kallas i examensarbetet, jämför egentillverkade och inköpta komponenter (ex växellåda). I modellen finns några viktiga parametrar som behöver verifieras. Reservdelsförsäljning är en sådan.

Background Anesthesia-related deaths are common in dogs, especially in the postoperative period, in compare to humans. This study aims to describe and elucidate the qualities of the postoperative care for dogs in Sweden. Method To investigate the postoperative care, a qualitative study was made by interviewing personnel in the animal health care sector. The primary information from the interviews was analyzed in a qualitative manor and a few distinguished qualities came forth. Results These qualities describe the postoperative care and include preventive activities, postoperative activities, monitoring and communication. A variation in regards to the results was seen between the interviewed.
