Lund who has over 90 systems in 12 departments and now wants to streamline the management of these IT systems. Governance of IT systems is something that Lund would treat as it carried a large amount of changes in their practices, where the control is something missed in trying to standardize their systems. What's missing for Lund Municipality is routine to fall back on in order to streamline the management when they get into these complex situations.Given that Lund treat so many systems make it so that the situation quickly becomes very complex due of the organization's structure. The municipality is divided into twelve departments that have their own goals, it is an organization that is organized, which makes creating standards become complicated when all departments have different needs. Our study was based on a framework that deals with complex environments that lack a clear definition.An analysis was conducted where we started from the theory associated with the interviews conducted in which we aimed to understand their decision and understand the processes that affect system development.

The report is the result of a master thesis at ENEA AB during the fall of 2009. Itaims to create a specification of flash memory management system which focuseson power efficiency and low RAM usage for embedded systems, and to design andimplement a prototype of such a system to facilitate further development toward thecreated specification. The system used by ENEA today is a Flash Translation Layer(FTL). It has a complex structure which prohibits modifications and customization,therefore a new flash memory management system needs to be developed.The suggested solution uses a translation layer called Metadata FTL (MFTL), wherefile system metadata and userdata are separated from each other in order to improveperformance. The partition holding userdata uses a block-level mapped translationlayer system called Fully Associative Sector Translation FTL.

The aim of this study has been to examine if an implementation of a One Stop Shop in the public sector and its IT-support can serve as a motor for business development. By examine the relation between the One Stop Shop and the public administrations we have tried to answer this question. The municipality that we have examined underwent a big change, seven years ago, when they implemented a One Stop Shop including a IT-support called Flexite. But despite these seven years and the fact that Flexite has changed approach from a Case Management System to a Support System for Business Development the municipality have not adapted to this change. .

Reading difficulties is the most common learning difficulty in the western world and it is common that people with reading disabilities also exhibit arithmetic difficulties. Different theories about the cause of the relationship exists, one theory describes the importance of good phonological ability in reading as well as in arithmetic, while another theory describes the importance of a reliable number system and that only a subgroup of students with reading disabilities also have difficulties with arithmetic. The purpose of this study is to investigate how students with reading difficulties (RD), without any known mathematical difficulties, perform on mathematical tasks relative to a control group. The study was theoretically grounded on the Triple code model (Dehaene, 1992), which is a model for numerical information processing that describes how various numerical and arithmetic tasks are processed through three distinct representation systems in the brain, a verbal and a visual representation system and a quantity system. Reading skills, phonological skills, arithmetic skills and number processing skills were examined in 61 students through a variety of tests.

Vi har inte funnit några konkreta sammband mellan hanteringen kvalitetsbristkostnader och Volvo Pentas användande av ABC-kalkylering. Vidare har vi kunnat konstatera att medvetenheten om att det finns kvalitetsbristkostnaderna inom företaget är relativt stor. Dock finns väldigt få system eller verktyg för kontroll och uppföljning av kostnader som orsakas av kvalitetsbrister. Vårt förslag till Volvo Penta är att, under den lönsamma period som företaget nu befinner sig i, upprätta ett system som fångar upp företagets kvalitetsbristkostnader. VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.

Detta beror till stor del på problemet med att kunna mäta att en medarbetare verkligen använder systemet för kunskapsöverföring. Genom att studera kunskapsutbytet i organisationerna hade det varit möjligt att kartlägga de områden som påverkar användningen av digitala system för kunskapsöverföring. Frågeställning: Vilka faktorer påverkar användningen av digitala system för kunskapsöverföring? Syfte: Syftet är att skapa en modell som visar de faktorer som påverkar användningen av digitala system för kunskapsöverföring, samt att genomföra en första prövning av modellens giltighet genom en studie av tre företag.

A major issue that has been a subject for quite some time is whether there will be a scarcity of metals in the bedrock in the future and whether or not we might end up with a problem similar to that of the big oil crisis in the mid-seventies. Following the oil crisis many oil companies started up with risk management to control future risks. This work presents how Swedish mining companies work with risk management to handle risks that might come up in the future due to metal scarceness. How Swedish mining companies look at the possible metal scarceness and if they use risk management in their decision-making process is studied. By doing interviews with Swedish owned mining companies it was found that the mining companies did not see the future metal scarcity as a risk, even though 2/3 of the companies acknowledged the scarceness to be a reality.
