Academic research concerning how to determine the power situation in a supply chain where an investment product supplier is involved did not exist. Therefore new models has been developed that analyses the power relations and maps out the power situation in a supply chain. In the future these models can be applied on similar cases by modifying the included parameters. The new models show that case company FAS should focus on the big producers of garbage bag which are Trioplast, Rullpack and Miljösäck. By strengthen the brand FAS can make more money in these relations.

Vår ambition med den här studien har varit att belysa hur rättsäkerheten och kvaliteten bibehålls utifrån de beviljade besluten till det når de individer besluten gäller för i de praktiska verksamheterna. Vi har studerat vissa insatser inom hemtjänsten. De insatser som varit aktuella för studien är de insatser inom hemtjänsten som kräver att det upprättas en målstyrd arbetsplan. Vi har tagit hjälp av teorier som belyser organisationer och teorier som handlar om implementering för att kunna ge en förklaring till det framkomna resultatet. Vi har också tagit hjälp av viss lagstiftning samt föreskrifter som anger hur och vad som ska göras för att uppnå rättsäkerhet och kvalitet i den undersökta verksamheten.För att öka förståelsen med målstyrt arbete beskrivs även de inblandade parterna i den implementeringsprocess vi valt att fokusera på.Vi har i studien använt oss av enbart textmaterial för att komma fram till ett resultat.

Den första januari 1994 infördes lag (1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade. Ett av lagens syften var att minska de skillnader som fanns mellan olika kommuners stöd till funktionshindrade. Trots detta syfte finns det fortfarande stora skillnader mellan olika kommuner i det stöd som ges till funktionshindrade. Vissa kommuner ger upp till tio gånger mer stöd än andra kommuner. Uppsatsen baseras på den litteraturstudie som jag har gjort med syftet att undersöka vad som kan påverka att personer med funktionshinder får det stöd som de har rätt till.

This study´s focus was a group of participants of a social movement called The Zeitgeist Movement. The purpose of this study was to understand and convey what causes participants of this movement to engage despite that the prevailing culture teaches them otherwise.With qualitative methodology of participatory observation and semi-structured interviews with ten participants, our objective has been to answer the following questions: What are the driving forces that make these people act, which approach do they have to ?reality? and how do they relate to it, and what are the potential consequences with this approach?The study has shown that their critical and questioning attitude towards their perception of reality and their social constructivist view of it lead to conflicts between them and their fellowmen. The data was then analyzed with Alfred Schütz phenomenological theories in synthesis with Zygmunt Baumans critical societal analysis and theories.The study's focus was on the Gothenburg chapter of the Swedish Zeitgeist Movement. We did not make any comparisons with other national or international chapters of the movement..

This project was conducted on behalf of the organization SABO (Swedish Association of Public Housing Companies). The aim of this project was to investigate which relevant environmental aspects and indicators there are for housing companies to present in their sustainability report. The project consists of three main goals: to decide if there is a need for common guidelines when conducting a sustainability report, determine appropriate environmental indicators and to create a simple model of how the companies can present them. This was done by a literature study, analysis of 13 sustainability reports and interviews with seven housing companies. The result of the project suggests that there is a need for common guidelines to, among other things, make it easier to make a comparison with other companies.

This master thesis was a continuation of a previous study in the diesel exhaust characterization, which is part of the academical work embedded in the EMIR-1 project. The main objective of this thesis work was to finish the installation and make the proper modifications of the particulate mass measuring system located in one of the engine test cells at KTH, in order to be able to measure the mass of the particles from the exhaust of diesel engines.This experiment requires a diluted flow sample from the exhaust that should be sent to the device that makes possible the measurement of particle mass, called TEOM. In the first stage of this project, the objective was to study and make the proper modifications in the existing KTH diluter because there were several problems to obtain a constant dilution ratio from it during tests.This modifications were made and it resulted in a great improvement in the maximum inlet and outlet flow that this diluter can handle. Therefore another modification is proposed for controlling the inlet exhaust flow so it will be possible to regulate the dilution ratio and make it constant along a wide range of engine loads and speeds.The second and most important stage was to make particulate mass measurements possible by analyzing the frequency signal from the TEOM device. The idea was to obtain the frequency of oscillation from the tapered element in the TEOM, and therefore with the proper correlations, be able to predict the particulate mass concentration in the exhaust flow from the engine.An electrical problem in the TEOM circuit was detected and corrected, so the signal that carries the frequency from the TEOM can be analyzed properly.

During the summer of 2007 I was employed by Högestad Christinehofs Förvaltning AB. My main task was to make an inventory of giant trees at the estate. Högestad and Christinehof,which with their total possession of 13 000 ha of land is the biggest estate in Scania. A giant tree is a tree with a diameter in breast height more then 1 meter. Trees of these dimensions are registered by Swedish authorities. Landowners with a giant tree on their property can receive a subsidy for cutting trees that are in competition with the giant tree.(Levenskog, 2007) Giant trees are important for biodiversity in the landscape and there are important habitats for different insects, birds, bats, lichens and funguses.

The first of January 2005 all companies listed on a stock exchange within the European Unionhad to implement International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) in their annual report.But is this regulation for the good or worse and does the benefits outweigh the cost? The goalwith the regulation is to make it easier for investors, shareholders and other stakeholders tomake financial decisions, compare domestic as well as international companies at the samecondition. One of the differences with the introduction of the new regulation is IFRS 3 thathandles business combination and how goodwill and intangible assets from the acquiredcompany should be accounted for. The objectives of our dissertation is to identify those listedcompanies that have made one or more acquisition between the years 2005 to 2006 andmeasure their level of disclosure concerning goodwill and intangible assets through theacquisition. We concluded trough the results that positive accounting theory and systemorientated theory didn?t explain all the verities in the companies? disclosures.

Studiens primära syfte är att utveckla ett teoretiskt ramverk som kan bidra till en ytterligare teoretisk förståelse för staters agerande i FN:s säkerhetsråd. Ramverket vilar på en rationalistisk grund och bygger på tre förklaringsmodeller; en första med fokus på internationell makt och säkerhet, en andra inomstatlig förklaring och en tredje institutionalistisk förklaring. Ramverket appliceras sedan på en fallstudie där Kinas och USA:s agerande i säkerhetsrådet analyseras. Bland studiens slutsatser bör framhållas att säkerhetsrådet av stater anses vara en viktig institution och att det råder en påtaglig respekt för rådets prejudicerande makt. Studien visar även att säkerhetsrådsmedlemmars beslut till stor del är resultatet av långsiktiga kalkyler utifrån reciprocitet och ryktespåverkan, samt att den historiska kontexten påverkar hur staters agerande tas emot av övriga medlemmar.

Det finns en tendens i dagens samhälle att ungdomar, istället för att resa och 'hitta sig själv', satsar på en bra utbildning och/eller jobb. De verkar inte följa sina drömmar i allt större grad, utan deras förväntningar är mer realistiska och nåbara. Frågan är om detta är ett beslut som individen fattar helt själv eller om det finns andra krafter som påverkar detta beslut. Denna studie har tagit upp hur dagens ungdomar upplever sin framtid, vad som påverkar denna syn och om det finns plats för drömmar i dagens samhälle. Det teoretiska och begreppsliga ramverket bestod av Giddens teori om reflexivitet, Sennetts teori om flexibilitet samt begreppet govermentality, dessa har hjälpt till i förståelsen av hur ungdomarna ser på sin framtid.

The aim is to design a module for living which is flexible in a bigger context, which could condens the city and to answer the questions: How is it possible to make a livingmodule where the compact living theme works in an everyday situation? How is it possible to make one module which is able to function in several different situations? The process in solving problem has been characterized of trial and error: design a module and learn from the mistakes and take the knowledge to the next module. This is the way I have worked until I found a good solution. As a result I can show an efficient module which has several nice values of space and that is flexible and to some part adjust for a disabled person. It can on several ways condens the city.

There is consensus in research, policy, business and many other areas around the benefits of creativity. Previous research shows that creativity is only spurred under certain conditions. Usually creativity is not associated with concepts such as control, deadline or cost effectiveness. Companies, by contrast, have the need for control and management of their operations, which implies that the two processes can be difficult to reconcile. A company that wants a high creativity while maintaining control and management is forced into a series of organizational compromises.

Turismbranschen kännetecknas i dag som turbulent och känslig för konjunktursvängningar, denna känslighet för omvärldsförändringar sätter krav på aktörerna att ha djupa insikter i hur resenären ser ut idag och hur resenären vill se ut i morgon. För att kunna uppnå denna insikt krävs en fungerade omvärldsanalys. Genomför då aktörer i turismbranschen omvärldsanalys för att säkra driften eller bär omvärldsanalys prägel av Fingerspitzengefühl? Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, researrangörer och destination marknadsförings organisationer (DMO) arbetar med omvärldsanalys som ett verktyg i verksamheten för att hantera en mer osäker framtid, samt hur de använder den kunskap som generas av omvärldsanalyser för strategiska beslut i verksamheten. Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ metod, med djupintervjuer samt litteratur och artikelstudier i ämnesområdena omvärldsanalys och beslutsprocesser.

Bakgrund: Abort har förekommit i alla tider och idag utförs abort lagligt på mångaställen i världen. Abort innebär att avsluta en graviditet och i norden ökar antaletaborter, trots tillgång till preventivmedel. Anledningen till att kvinnor väljer attgenomföra en abort kan vara många och huvudorsaken är en dålig eller ingen relationmed fadern. Att besluta sig att genomgå en abort är för många inte enkelt och där blirsjuksköterskans stödjande omvårdnad viktig. Därför är det av stor vikt att ta redasjuksköterskornas upplevelser av omvårdnaden i abort situationer.

Volvo Cars Body Components i Olofström tillverkar karosskomponenter till Volvos personbilar. De senaste åren har produktionsvolymen ökat betydligt, samtidigt som hårda krav på rationaliseringar ställs inom koncernen. En parameter som skulle kunna minska kostnaderna och effektivisera produktionsflödet, är partistorlekarna i pressning. Idag är partistorlekarna anpassade efter några dagars kundbehov och man är oense om partistorlekarna tar hänsyn till om artikeln har ett högt styckvärde eller kräver små lagerutrymmen. I vår uppsats har vi använt oss av metodtriangulering, vilket innebär att vi har kombinerat ett kvalitativt och ett kvantitativt synsätt för att komma till vår slutsats.
