Purpose: The aim of this thesis is to create a greater understanding of organizational identification and the factors influencing this process. The understanding will be obtained by identifying what individuals identify them selves with and why this identification occurs.Method: The thesis is a case study with an abductive research approach with a focus on organizational identification. Data has been collected with a qualitative focus in interviews and images.Conclusion: The employees at Plain Capital primarily identify themselves with their profession, the company and their co-workers. The reasons why they identify are mostly because of the feeling of pride and participation. We have discovered a link between a strong group identity and a high organizational identification.

A variety of demands have to be considered in the design of a new opera house in Galärvarvet. All possible viewpoints are important to be aware of, as is the need for the new building to be a contrast to the already existing opera house in Stockholm. The restricted site also makes a multitude of demands on the building's design.By rationalizing the layout and structure and also by making the footprint smaller, the complex building of over 30 000 square meters can be fitted and blended into the existing physical context. Unlike the existing opera house in Stockholm, the new opera house shows the rationality and the advanced technology that lies behind the scenes and becomes the character of the entire building. Through the dynamic façade, the new opera can convey any character it so desires, just like scenes do through different settings.

My intention with this paper is to try to understand the meaning of the double sex symbols which can be identified on a number of Neolithic so called battle axes from the region round the lake Mälaren in Sweden. My conclusions are drawn after having studied a number of archaeological thesises. I have realized that the society was egalitarian from what is said about the funeral habits since women and men were buried with the same care. Ceramics from the Skogsmossen site show a very long continuity over 15-20 generations. These facts indicate a peaceful society without traumatic breaks where knowledge would have been lost.

Detta arbete har fokuserat på spelarens uppfattning av estetiska moddar utifrån Mieke Bals taxonomi.Först beskrivdes den teoretiska grunden genom att förklara koncepten modd, Mieke Bals taxonomi, intertextualitet samt problematiken med Bal applicerat på visuella medier. Arbetets frågeställning sammanfattades som: hur förändras uppfattningen av ett spelnarrativ utifrån enbart estetiska förändringar och intertextualitet?För att besvara frågeställningen skapades en artefakt gjord under praktik på Double Zero One Zero baserat på deras spel The Westport Independent som ersatte representationen av karaktärerna med karaktärer från My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Därefter fick fem personer läsa artefakten och intervjuades enligt en semistrukturerad metod för att analysera deras uppfattningar.Resultatet visade på att även om Respondenten hävdade att detta var samma narrativ förändrades uppfattningen om den estetiska genren och karaktärerna. Därtill kunde det konstateras att deltagarna upplevde en annan tolkning av texten..

Denna uppsats är resultatet av en studie som genomförts i Norrala socken, med betoningen på folktro, vidskeplighet och skrock bland den äldre generationen jordbrukare på Hälsingegårdar. Även folktron bland nuvarande generationer hälsingebönder finns representerad, eftersom de yngre utgör dagens representanter på Hälsingegårdarna. Studien baseras på semistrukturella intervjuer utförda i maj 2007 och analysen av studien härleds till Ebbe Schöns teorier gällande folktron, där nödvändigheten av magi och vidskepelse bland bönder är framträdande. Sammanfattningen visar att folktro och vidskeplighet är begränsad, både bland de yngre och äldre generationerna i Norrala, även om de yngre till synes har en större förståelse för vidskeplighet och även anammar valda delar. Resultatet av studien visar att det finns möjliga samband mellan folktro, skrock och vidskeplighet, kristen tro och fornskandinavisk religion..

Consultancy as a profession has always been a debated topic and has constantly been surrounded with a kind of secrecy. People have a hard time defining what consultants actually do and how they do it. It seems that they are simply waving their Magic wands, performing wonders. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka metoder för modellering och realtidssimulering av fordonskomponenterna koppling och däck. Avsikten skulle sedan vara att implementera utvalda modeller i simulink för användning tillsammans med en befintlig fordonssimulator. Arbetet innehåller en litteraturstudie som ger fysikalisk förståelse för fordonskomponenterna samt vägledning vid valet av modelleringsmetod.Utmaningen med kopplingen var att modellera övergången mellan låst ochslirande tillstånd. Efter utvärdering av olika metoder valdes en metod som använder samma systemstruktur för båda fallen, dvs ett system med två frihetsgrader.Däcksmodellen valdes med hänsynen att ett trovärdigt beteende skulle uppnås utan att kräva för mycket beräkningskraft. En metod byggd på fysikaliska resonemang är svår att få verklighetstrogen med begränsad komplexitet.

Det finns idag diverse datorprogram som använder sig av olika typer av datoralgoritmer för att ta fram noter i sång som t.ex. ScoreCloud och Magic Stave. Dock är det inte trivialt för sådana program att approximera tonhöjden i sång. Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på vad som är skillnaden mellan tonhöjden som människor uppfattar och frekvensnivån som räknas ut av datoralgoritmer.För att undersöka detta skapade vi ett program för att kunna utföra ett lyssnartest. Ruins and derelict places have since long fascinated and attracted humans. With my starting point in the wild vegetation and the spontaneous activities taking place on derelict land and in industrial ruins, I explore with help from the theoretical sociology, what creates not only this fascination but also fear. The purpose of the thesis is to explore and exemplify how the industrial ruin as a place outside the restrictions and control as well as design intentions of modern society can be used as an inspiration in a landscape architecture context.The modern city consists of areas and places with a well defined purpose. A piece of derelict land or a disused building is instead ambiguous, undefined and open for new purposes. However described in negative terms, these placesare often perceived as places of mystery and Magic.

The acid deposition of sulphur- and nitrogenoxides from combustion of coal and oil cause acidification that lowers pH and gives increased contents of metals and altered aquatic biodiversity in the stream. The liming of lakes and streams, which was introduced to resist the acidification, demand large economic resourses despite of the decreased deposition of the acidifyng substances. Some of the streams are influenced by the acid deposition, while others are naturally acidic. It is therefore importaint to separate the anthropogenically acidified waters from the naturally acidic, in order to optimize the use of governmental fundings for liming. This thesis aims to estimate the acidity status and impact of acidification on 24 catchments upstream liming dispensers, which is part of the liming activities at the County of Dalarna.The acidity status of the streams was classified according to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency old classification system (Naturvårdsverket 1999) as very acid to acid, with small ability to withstand a pH-change (alkalinity) due to acid deposition.

Digitala spel har utvecklats kraftigt de senaste 10 åren. Moderna spel kan skryta med otroliga världar med trovärdiga karaktären och visuella egenskaper som liknar modern film. Modern teknologi har förmågan att skapa världar som kan uppsluka vår uppmärksamhet som aldrig förut. Många moderna spel lägger även stort fokus på att skapa ett narrativ som ger kontext och mening till den virituella världen. Ett sätt att skapa narrativ i spel har varit att implementera en bakgrundshistoria som spelaren får ta del av innan man börjar interagera med spelet.Målet med denna rapport har varit att koppla teorier om the Magic circle till teorier om perception, och immersion för att försöka få en bild över hur spelarna upplever spelvärlden.
