Det övergripande syftet med vårt arbete är att belysa den lokala konstruktionen av motivation. Vi vill mer specifikt belysa skillnader mellan hur motivation kommer till uttryck i olika omgivningar. Utifrån detta har vi skapat en modell som bygger på två parametrar kunskapskrav och karriärmöjligheter. Vi har sedan utgått från dessa när vi strukturerat vårt empiriska urval. Primärdatan är ett urval av 12 respondenter från både privat och offentlig sektor.

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.

The aim of this thesis was to look closer into the shelf arrangement and user behavior in a fiction collection with the municipal library in Lund as an example. The purpose was to investigate to what extent the shelf arrangement in this library is adapted to the behavior of users when it comes to searching for and choosing fiction. The study is mainly focused on the division between Hc- and Hce-classified books (Swedish fiction and fiction translated into Swedish), the special shelving of the publications of the last five years, and the genre categorization. The user behavior is primarily examined from the perspective of three search strategies; looking for a specific author or title, browsing within a genre or browsing without having a specific genre in mind. The study also deals with within which genres of fiction the users are searching and if they are looking for a book that is translated or not, new or older.

The aim of this bachelor-thesis is to study how the City Library in Norrköping, in collaboration with the outpatient centre, Gränden, has assisted people with substance abuse problems through a bibliotherapeutic reading circle known as, Människor mellan raderna (People between the lines). My theoretical framework is based upon Ruth M. Tews and Berth Danermark?s theories. Tew states that in order to create a well-functioning team consisting of various professional competences, each individual needs to possess certain character traits including the ability to contribute with their unique competence and an openness to receive and absorb the other participants? contributions.

The purpose of this master thesis is to study the correlation and meaning of current ideas and practice at the public library of Gothenburg. This was done by comparing the visions and ideas expressed by the library through the library plan, with how the daily practice looks. For the theoretical framework organizational theory is used and research data was collected both from public documents and through observations. The public library of Gothenburg were chosen for the study because of it's newly renovated facilities. The idea is that these facilities make a suitable study object of the current ideas and priorities of the public Swedish library in general.The results show that the public library practice in Sweden still rests on the original public library ideas such as offering information for free and treating every user as equal.

Uppsatsen syftar till att uppmärksamma vilka könsroller bilderböcker förmedlar i de bilderböcker som barn i förskola och skolans tidigare del möter. Eftersom bilderböcker ur ett historiskt perspektiv har föredragit manliga karaktärer och skildrat olikheter mellan män och kvinnor bidrar det till att pojkar och flickor möter olika förväntningar och uppfattningar. Eftersom det är lärares uppgift att motverka traditionella könsroller (Lpo94,Lpf 94, Lpfö 98) blir bilderböckers förmedlande av könsroller av vikt. Undersökningen utgår ifrån ett genusperspektiv med stöd i Yvonne Hirdmans (2007) genussystemteori och Robert Connells (1995) begrepp hegemonisk maskulinitet. I studien undersöks vilka normer, värden och ideal kring könsroller som förmedlas genom tre populära bilderböcker.

Library 2.0 is a term which emerged a few years ago and is frequently discussed. There is no uniform definition of the term but the central aspect of the concept is to encourage increased participation from library users.The aim of this Master's thesis is to investigate if and if so, how the professional role of the librarian is affected by Library 2.0. To do that, we have conducted a case study at the public library in Umeå. Their homepage minabibliotek.se is a practical example of Library 2.0. The homepage is based on interactivity and the library users can participate in various ways.We thougt that qualitive interviews was the best way to gain an understanding for how the librarians at the public library in Umeå experience how the work with minabibliotek.se affect their professional role.

Hur vet banken i vilken grad organisationen bör motivera sina anställda med tanke på att alla kan motiveras av olika saker?Syfte:  Syftet med undersökningen var att granska två olika banker och undersöka vad de har för belöningssystem samt hur de arbetar aktivt med det. Vi har valt att granska två av Sverige största banker, Handelsbanken och Nordea.

Syftet med detta arbete var att titta på vilka olika familjekonstellationer som presenteras i svensk barnlitteratur utgiven i sin första upplaga år 2006, för barn i åldrarna 6 ? 9 år. Därför har jag genomfört en kvantitativ studie av den litteratur som matchat ovannämnda kriterier på Lunds stadsbibliotek, för att se i vilken utsträckning de familjekonstellationer som presenteras matchar den mångfald vi ser i Sverige idag. Jag har också genomfört en kvalitativ analys av tre barnböcker i vilka en familj där någon har en funktionsnedsättning presenteras, en familj där föräldrar invandrat/familjen invandrat tillsammans samt en titel där någon i familjen har en sexualitet som inte faller under termen heterosexuell. Detta för att se hur dessa kan användas i arbetet för att bryta ner samt förhindra uppkomsten av fördomar och stereotyper i klassrummet. Arbetet visar att kärnfamiljen fortfarande dominerar i svensk barnlitteratur.

I uppsatsen undersöker jag ur ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv, och med diskursanalys och dekonstruktion som metoder, heteronormativitet i skönlitterära bilderböcker. Analysen stödjer sig dels på Michel Foucaults samt Ernesto Laclaus och Chantal Mouffes diskursteorier, dels på Judith Butlers beskrivningar av samhällets heterosexuella matris och identitet som en performativ processuell konstruktion. Jag undersöker om och på vilka sätt heterosexualitet framställs som given sexuell identitet i de mest lånade bilderböckerna på Stockholms stadsbibliotek de senaste åren och i ett urval böcker som skildrar hur familjer får barn. Det innefattar granskning av såväl vilka relationer som representeras i böckerna som vilka subjektspositioner som böckerna erbjuder läsaren. Har läsaren möjlighet att identifiera sig med litterära figurer utan att först ta ställning till kön, undrar jag.

Vi har ett samhälle och en skola som genomsyras av en strävan efter jämställdhet mellan könen. Trots styrdokumentens betoning på flickors och pojkars lika förutsättningar, tycker jag mig ha sett allt för lite av genusperspektivet i den dagliga pedagogiska verksamheten under min verksamhetsförlagda tid. I arbetet under de tidiga skolåren är mycket fokus på läsning och läskunnighet. Men vad är det då eleverna läser och vad speglar texterna utifrån vår strävan? Uppsatsen behandlar hur könsroller gestaltas i barnlitteratur.

The focus of this two year master?s thesis in Library- and Information science is the study of two Swedish Public Library buildings with the examples Lomma and Halmstad. The main goal and purpose of the thesis is to try to uncover which views and values of the public library are expressed in the examined libraries; and to what extent these views manifests are shown in its architecture.The theoretical framework is based on Raymond Williams?s cultural concepts of effective, dominant culture and the two extremities of this culture, called residual and emergent cultures. A second aspect is Yi-Fu Tuans concepts of Space and Place.

Problem: Vilka åtgärder använder sig små företag inom kontantbranschen av för att förhindra och upptäcka bedrägerier? Hur ser företagen och revisorerna på ansvaret för att upptäcka bedrägerier utförda av anställda och skiljer sig företagens förväntningar från revisorns skyldigheter?Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur små företag arbetar för att förhindra och upptäcka bedrägerier. Syftet är även att studera om det finns ett förväntningsgap mellan företagsledningen och revisorerna gällande ansvaret att upptäcka interna bedrägerier utförda av personal.                                                                                            Metod: Denna rapport grundar sig på av en litteratur- och en empiristudie.  Empiristudien genomfördes med hjälp av totalt sju intervjuer, fyra med företag inom kontantbranschen samt tre revisorer. Även kompletteringsfrågor skickades till tre av respondenterna. Litteraturstudien består av böcker och artiklar som erhölls från databaser och biblioteket på Mälardalens högskola samt Västerås stadsbibliotek.

The Swedish working-class author Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990) wrote a collection of one hundred short stories between the years 1968-1972. His other productions, generally speaking, have partially different social reform purposes, but, according to himself, these short stories were written with the intention to be totally free of tendencies (even though he himself doubted that he succeeded with this).During the same period that these short stories were published, the Swedish social democrats were under the challenge of radical movements that, mainly on the radical left?s ideological foundation, had a relatively strong influence in Sweden, among other countries, from the mid 1960?s to the late 1970?s. Since Lo-Johansson mainly seemed to have supported the politics of the social democrats, the purpose of the investigation in this thesis has been to see if he ? in the three short stories: Vikingakärlek (1970), Rikslögnaren (1971) and Ansgars resa till Sverige (1972) ? is conveying an ideological use of history and basic political values that were used by the social democratic party during this time period.

This two years master's thesis in Library and Information science, examines how the implementation of new technical equipment can affect how staff in public libraries organize their work and activities in the library. One Swedish public library in specific is the subject of research in this thesis, which has been anonymized as Kvarntuna city library. The study takes place in the beginning of the implementation of RFID-technology in the library. RFID, which stands for Radio Frequency Identification, is supposed to make the handling with different types of media in the library more efficient and in connection with the implementation one wants to reorganize work and activities in the library to make it even more efficient and also create a modern library.The thesis' method is qualitative interviews with six members of the staff. The theoretical framework of the thesis is a sociocultural perspective, especially inspiered by Roger Säljö, a Swedish professor in pedagogical psychology.
