The 1st of January 2009 a new goal was set for the emergency care in Stockholms läns landsting. This new goal stated that 70 per cent of the patients shall not spend more than four hours in the hospital when requesting emergency care. The processes in the emergency room at Södersjukhuset do not cope with this new goal. The authors studied the reasons for this and made suggestions based on the findings. The conclusions were that the emergency room should place doctors much earlier in the emergency care process or implement a system where specialists act as tutors to non-specialized doctors.

This master thesis covers the design of a special garden room, The Hardscape Room, in The Rehabilitation Gardens at Alnarp, in southern Sweden, as well as describes the design process. The Rehabilitation Gardens are intended to serve several purposes. It will offer horticultural therapeutic treatment programs for people diagnosed as having had burnout disease for an extended period. Research is also aimed at studying the possible impact of different garden design hypotheses as well as different forms of horticultural therapy. In The Rehabilitation Gardens at Alnarp the most extreme and demanding garden room focused on cultivation and horticultural therapy is The Hardscape Room.

Skolmåltider har utvecklats från ren välgörenhet till ett bestående inslag i skolgången. Meransvar har lagts på den offentliga verksamheten vad gäller skolmåltider och att ha utbildadpersonal är numera ett krav. Måltidspersonalen har ett stort ansvar vad gäller att se till attmaten är god, näringsriktig och säker. I skolmåltiden ingår det numera ett moment som kallaspedagogisk måltid, detta är något pedagoger ska utföra. Att lära eleverna om normer ochregler vid måltider samt verka som goda föredömen är en del i pedagogisk måltid.

Genom en enkätundersökning studerades det vilka vanor elever i årskurs 9 i den kommunala skolan på Gotland har angående att äta lunch i skolmatsalen eller välja att avstå den. 327 användbara enkäter samlades in. 87 % av dessa svarade att de åt skollunchen 3-5 dagar per vecka och delades in i grupp Ofta, medan 17 % angav att de åt skollunchen 0-2 dagar per vecka och delades in i gruppen Sällan.Mindre än hälften av alla tillfrågade niondeklassare åt lunch i skolmatsalen 5 dagar i veckan. Det är mycket lägre siffra än andra svenska undersökningar från Stockholm, Göteborg och Arjeplog/Arvidsjaur som resultat jämförts mot.Andra undersökningar har visat att faktorer som miljö och lunchtider påverkar besöksfrekvensen i skolmatsalen och det överrensstämmer med vad som framkommit i denna undersökning.Denna studie har också visat att det finns en skillnad i vad grupperna Sällan och Ofta anser om skolmaten och den ligger i att gruppen Sällan tycker mycket sämre om maten. Det identifierades också signifikant skillnad i vad man tycker om miljön i matsalen.

Captured in the room of Göran Tunström?s spoken language, fenced behind his barrier of manic words. This essay is about the limit of language and world?s necessity to be spoken to be experience, about telling as a manufacturer of meaning and a subject?s motion between fiction and reality. Based on the novel Skimmer from 1996, my purpose is to identify ?a linguistic room? in Tunström?s narration and show how this room is given an existential character by its temporal and spatial dimensions.

In this Bachelor thesis I explore sound and room as elements in design of user interfaces, both theoretical and practical in a specific application domain, to identify some of the advantages and disadvantage associated with these elements. As application domain I studied email clients and their usage at home amongst students at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In the study I found an activity, which seems to be highly distributed in the physical room where the user is located. The activity was notification of email and could take place in an arbitrary location of the home. I then augmented this activity with ideas from my theoretical assumption about room and sound. The result was a rule-based agent for notification of email, which primarily uses sound as interaction style..

The purpose of this study is to understand the knowledge of the school counselor and their room for manoeuvre regarding cyberbullying among students. We have used a qualitative method, which consists of eight semi-structured interviews with six middle school student counselors and two high school student counselors, in a middle-sized municipality in Sweden. Our study showed that the school counselors have limited knowledge about cyberbullying due to the fast development of the internet, and limited time in their work. The limited knowledge affects the school counselor?s way of work, and how they use their room for manoeuvre on cyberbullying.

Purpose: To investigate emergency room nurses' experiences in receiving medical alerts focused on education, safety, security, skills and experience, and andherence to guidelines. The purpose was also to investigate whether there were any differences in action between the emergency room nurses who had worked longer or shorter period than two years with this.Method:The design was quantitative, comparative and descriptive. Surveys were distributed to 30 nurses who worked in the emergency room at a Swedish hospital.

This is a dissertation for a Bachelor Degree Project at the University of Skövde. The project is carried out in cooperation with the company Kinnarps AB.The objective of this project was to develop a new chair for café and Lunch rooms, which should satisfy the markets expectations and demands and match Kinnarps AB?s assortment today. The project has contained everything from identification of user and customer needs and requirements to evaluation and building of a prototype.The result is a chair with a frame of tubular steel and there is nothing like it in Kinnarps AB?s assortment today.
