Boberg at Scania CV AB. The purpose was to investigate the technical and customer oriented possibilities for the development of a transport security measure against cargo crime, which is a growing problem in Europe. The main goal was to develop a concept that is possible to implement in the Scania CV AB Fleet Management System. Another goal was to develop a security model that will be used as a tool during Scania CV AB?s future development projects of transport security concepts.The work was divided into three main parts: a background study, handling cargo crime, transport security Scania CV AB trucks and market analysis, a stakeholder investigation including a questionnaire and interviews, and a concept development session.

Det här examensarbetet har utförts inom civilingenjörsutbildningen för Maskinteknik vid Linköpings tekniska högskola i samarbete med SB Truck AB. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka ett antal truckmodeller för att bestämma infästningsbultarnas belastning samt hur spänningarna fördelas i de olika stativen. Infästningsbultarna håller ihop stativet och chassit.För att kunna genomföra beräkningarna med varierande stativlängder har ett excel-blad utformats, där det är möjligt att beräkna både krafterna på infästningarna och den totala förskjutningen.Belastningarna på modell TTFYI har beräknats både för hand och i Pro Mechanica. Resultaten för beräkningarna blev 3,9 kN respektive 3,7 kN. Resultat för övriga stativ finns tabellerade i resultatkapitlet.Spänningarna blir generellt sett låga i samtliga stativ på den analyserade modellen.

Holmen Skog AB is an important supplier of conifer pulpwood to the Iggesund Paperboard mill. After logging and transport to the landing by a forwarder, the wood is loaded on trucks for further transport, often by using separate loaders. During this handling process considerable amounts of stone material is sometimes mixed into the pulpwood and this causes problems for the industry. The aim of this study is to identify which part of the chain from forest to pulpmill, that contributes the most to this contamination. Sizes and total volumes of the contaminating stones were also investigated.

Norrborns Industri AB in Bollnäs manufactures truck trailers with the brand Parator. One of their trailers is Parator LX 10-20. The trailer is designed to transport hooklift containers with the option to tip loose goods such as gravel, asphalt and seed. The container is mounted on a frame which is placed on the chassis. To reduce weight a redesign of the trailer is needed.

Mager är ett fiktivt gruvprojekt i planeringsfas och utvärderingar har gjort över projektet som visade att projektet är lönsamt. Boliden vill se om Mager kan stärkas ekonomiskt genom att tillämpa fullt mobil In-Pit Crushing and Conveying (IPCC). IPCC avser att förkorta ledtiden mellan grävare och kross genom att placera en kross innanför dagbrottets gränser och sköta materialtransporten ut ur gruvan med hjälp av ett transportband. Förkortningen sker antingen genom att förkorta körtiden för truckarna från grävare till kross eller genom att helt eliminera truckarna. Det finns tre stycken IPCC-system, stationär, semi-stationär samt fullt mobil IPCC.

This Thesis is performed in cooperation with Kalmar Industries in Lidhult, Sweden. Theprojects main purpose was to develop a draft design of a test equipment. The equipmentwill simulate and valuate the drive-train and brakes at Kalmar?s bigger forklifts.The equipment will be designed so the wheels of the forklift are placed on two rollers;these absorb and affect the forklifts brake- and driving force. With this characteristic anup- and downhill can be simulated.

Linde Material Handling AB har på kort tid gått från att vara ett litet familjeföretag till att bli en av Sveriges största truckleverantörer. Orderingången har vuxit fort men stora delar av företaget har inte riktigt följt med i utvecklingen vilket har resulterat i att de idag har problem att hålla utlovade leveranstider och att leverera produkter av rätt kvalitet.Utifrån en kartläggning av processen från det att en truck säljs till dess att allt material finns hemma identifieras de brister och kritiska punkter som är roten till problemen. Processkartan i kombination med en nulägesbeskrivning ska ge ett antal förbättringsförslag där lösningar på problemen tas upp och analyseras.Den största bristen som identifierats i processen var främst avsaknaden av ett för företaget gemensamt planeringssystem. I dag använder olika avdelningar olika system vilka ofta består av avancerade Excelfiler och i andra fall av att information lagras i huvudet hos någon anställd. Detta i sin tur resulterar i svårigheter med uppföljning av de sålda truckarna.

Ett Pure-Car/Truck-Carrier fartyg med kapacitet för 6000 bilar på en har prospekterats. Fartyget skall huvudsakligen gå mellan Ostasien, Europa och Nordamerika.I problemformuleringen beskrivs vilka utmaningar och förutsättningar som har varit, samt lösningsmetoder och begränsningar. Under Analys beskrivs hur tankegångarna har varit mer detaljerat och illustrerat med figurer. Analysen har i stort sett gjorts i den ordning som underrubrikerna följer. Nästan alla beräkningar är gjorda i MATLAB enligt kända metoder; många hänvisningar görs till respektive metod och MATLAB-kod som återfinnes i bilagorna.

This thesis describes the universalization, improvement and further development of acompact crane support frame for flatbed trucks. The work has been conducted at Eloch Fordonsteknik AB (henceforth EFAB) in Uppsala.The aim of the work has been to shorten the assembly time of the product. By doingso, the product can be kept on shelf, which in turn results in shorter lead time. Thishas been done by universalizing the support frame to be compatible with most of thechassis EFAB works with. Additionally, the entire construction has been made lighter,which will make it a more attractive choice for customers.A pre-study was conducted and information was gathered internally, as well asexternally, in order to ascertain that no limitation or possibility was overlookedduring the course of the project.One such limitation has been the geometry of the truck bed that the support frameshall be compatible with.

The degree project was made forZetterbergs Industri AB. The company is market leading in Europe in the heavyvehicle industry, designing and building body systems for trucks.In their line of products is the hook lift called Livab, a flexible and uniqueproduct. The hook lift is often demanded by customers because its special ability tobe able to operate in situations with low roof clearance. The main operation principleof the hook lift can be described as a truck stand, laid down.There are two main versions of the hook lift Livab, AL 26 and AL 32. These are ofdifferent load capacity, 17 and 25 metric tons of gross weight respectively.

Volvo Group Truck Operations i Umeå arbetar med arbetsmiljö och säkerhet på arbetsplatsen genom en så kallad säkerhetspyramid. Säkerhetspyramiden baseras bland annat på medarbetarnas rapportering av osäkert agerande och osäkert förhållande. Syftet med pyramiden är att identifiera risker och förhindra arbetsplatsolyckor. Baserat på rapporteringsstatistik och teoretiska antagandena i säkerhetspyramiden finns en anledning att tro att det förekommer en underrapportering. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det fanns en underrapportering av osäkert agerande och osäkert förhållande bland kollektivanställda på presshallen och kaross.

The forest industry is one of the most important industry branches in Sweden. Since the demand of high precision wood deliveries has increased, the demand on a well constructed forest road net also has increased. A good road net gives the wood-supplier competition advantages and also increases its service level towards its customers, lumber-mills and pulp-mills. In some parts of Norrbotten, the road net is still insufficient and not yet built out enough, and that is why it is important to know how to act and where to improve the road net in these areas. The purpose of this thesis was to create a work-model for long term road planning in areas with no road net or a not yet complete road net. The model has been created in an ArcGis environment, where a long chain of tools has been tied together with the program ?Model builder?.
