Duroc Rail AB i Luleå laserhybridsvetsar samman plåtar av höghållfast stål inom delområdet Duroc Welding. Då en ökning i efterfrågan förväntas vill man öka produktionen vid svetslinan till att producera 30 plåtar per skift, från dagslägets strax under 20 plåtar. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit dels att få en bättre förståelse för flödet, dels att utreda om något moment vid linan kommer att vara begränsande vid en volymökning. De åtgärder som krävs för att öka produktionen ska identifieras. Vid utförandet av arbetet har bland annat teorier inom statistik och Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) använts.

The purpose of this study is to find the virtue ethics John Bunyan presents in Pilgrim´s Progress part 1, compared with the virtues Max Weber presents, and then try Weber´s theory on the empirical data, Pilgrim´s Progress. When I compare the virtues in Weber´s theory with the virtues in Pilgrim´s Progress, I interpret Weber´s theory as limited. From Weber´s theory emerges the puritan virtues: fulfillment of duty, struggle, self-control and live simply. He also mentions gratitude to God and helpfulness to other people, but this is shown through work in the society. These virtues can also be found in Pilgrim´s Progress.

Examensarbetet undersöker vilken stereoteknik som uppfattas ge den mest verklighetstrogna återgivningen av konstmusik samt om valet av stereoteknik påverkas av ljudteknisk eller konstmusikalisk bakgrund. Undersökningen gjordes i form av ett lyssningstest där deltagare i tre grupper fick, efter att ha lyssnat till en konstmusikalisk ensemble live i en konsertlokal, lyssna till tio olika inspelningar av samma stycke vars enda skillnad var vilken stereoteknik som använts vid inspelningen. Deltagarna ombads att gradera hur väl inspelningarna speglade verkligheten samt rangordna dem efter vilka de ansåg låta bäst oavsett hur trogna verkligheten de var.Studiens resultat visar på att konstmusikalisk och ljudteknisk bakgrund påverkar valet av vilken stereoteknik man föredrar och vilken man tycker låter mest likt den verkliga upplevelsen av musiken live. Av resultatet kan man också utläsa att personer inte konsekvent anser att de inspelningar som låter mest verklighetstroget är den man anser låter bäst..

Every second woman in Sweden suffers in their lifetime of fracture that is related to osteoporosis. Osteoporosis and fractures affect the person´s everyday life. The aim of the study was to describe experiences of feeling well among women with osteoporosis. Six women were interviewed with semi- structured interviews. The interviews were transcribed and the text was analyzed with thematic content analysis.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the Swedish Plymouth brethren?s relation to contemporary technology. What types of technology are considered acceptable and where do they draw the line? Due to the brethren?s separation from the parts of the world they believe leads people away from God, such as the entertainment industry, immoralities etc., they reject use of television and radio. These two are viewed as uncontrolled types of technology since the user does not have control of its contents.

Demenssjukdomar drabbar i allt högre grad en åldrande population. Med detta följer ett antal komplikationer och problemskapande beteenden som påverkar omvårdnaden. Syftet var att undersöka på vilket sätt olika typer av musik kan ha en positiv effekt på demenspatienter och därmed underlätta och förbättra omvårdnadsarbetet. Metoden som valdes var en litteraturstudie. Som teoretisk referensram valdes Katie Erikssons omvårdnadsteori.

The purpose with the study is to explore how schoolcounsellors? work to promote the integration of multicultural students and what factors can influencethe integration of these students.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate the care personnel's experience, and thoughts concerning the elderlies use of sedatives and sleeping tablets. The purpose was also to make a comparison between different forms of living, in an attempt to find out if the form of living in itself was a factor that affected the use of sedatives and sleeping-tablets.In order to investigate this, the main questions of this essay became:- To what extent do the patients use sedatives and sleeping tablets?- What is the care personnel's experience of, and thoughts about the patients' use of sedatives and sleeping tablets?To obtain answers to my questions I interviewed care personnel working at different types of homes for elderly people and working with elderly people still living at home.I came to the conclusion that where you live may also have an influence on the use of sedatives and sleeping tablets. This could be seen when a group of elderly people lived together, and some of them were suffering from dementia. Then it could happen that the elderly with dementia where given sedatives and sleeping tablets, not just in order to calm them, but also to give the others a better environment to live in..

Since feeding fodder crops to dairy cows is a heavy and time-consuming but often disregarded line of work, this study wishes to view the different possibilities that are currently available to decrease the time to feed and apply this knowledge on an existing farm. For this purpose, four farms have been studied due to what feeding systems that are currently used and how long time the feeding required. The occurring systems are either mobile, i.e. a feed mixer operated by a tractor witch feeds the cattle via a drivable fodder table, or a stationery mixer, i.e. an electrically powered mixer which fills an automatic feeder.

Why should teachers devote themselves to reading aloud? Reading aloud has a given place in most of the Swedish preschools. Many teachers read to children. Research on the subject has shown that it is very rewarding for preschoolers to have stories read to them. In recent time, agile methods have been devoted much attention, and the concept is widely used in the IT industry in particular. An increasing number of companies are interested in this way of working. The following report is the result of a study on the ability to create value for customers in business development through the use of agile methods. We ask what the advantages and limitations of agile methods are in the creation of customer value. Grounded Theory and an initial literature review was used to answer this question.

                                  The study aimed to explore how patients with ICDs experience their quality of life with a focus on everyday life, electric shocks, and how support from the health service is perceived. The studydesign is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven patients. Data collection lasted for three weeks and interviews were conducted in the participant´s homes, at the participants? workplaces or over the phone.The study shows that most participants have learned to live with the ICD.

Background: Approximately one in three Swedish people will receive a cancer diagnosis. Cancer primarily affects the elderly but also young people suffer. Young people are in a period of life that could put a strain of the ordinary when they are faced with choices and new challenges. The basic sense of security in everyday life is not so obvious and many suffer from, for example, stress and the feeling of being inadequate in relation to the requirements. It is relevant that the nurses can put themselves into what it is like to be young and afflicted with cancer, with the pressures of life itself and what the disease represents.
