Det finns många faktorer som påverkar hur svårlöst en konflikt är. Vi undersöker en av dem, nämligen skuggnätverken, genom att titta på kausalsambandet mellan skuggnätverk och staters olika uppbyggnadsprocesser. Begreppet skuggnätverk är en adaption av Nordstroms ?shadows? ? det vill säga ekonomiska och politiska länkar som på både lokal och internationell nivå rör sig utanför de statliga direktiven. Genom att studera skuggnätverkens utbredning i fyra afrikanska länder: Sydafrika, Kongo, Angola och Sierra Leone, ser vi de effekter som de har haft på de ekonomiska, politiska och sociala områdena i respektive länder.

En kvalitativ intervjuundersökning har genomförts på fyra lärare på två gymnasieskolor som alla har kopplingar till ämnet svenska som andraspråk. Vårt resultat visar att det råder betydande skillnader på hur undervisningen i svenska som andraspråk ser ut på respektive skola samthur indelningen av vilka elever som ska läsa ämnet går till. På den ena skolan råder det stor okunskap om ämnet och lärarna upplever att de saknar både stöd och information kring undervisningens utformning vilket resulterar i en ofullständig svenska som andraspråksundervisning. Vår slutsats är att det är alarmerande att det saknas behöriga lärare inom ämnet (samtliga intervjuade saknar full behörighet) samtidigt som behovet av svenska som andraspråksundervisning är stort. Vi tror även att det krävs tydligare riktlinjer kring ämnets utformning för att kunna kvalitetssäkra undervisningen.Fortsatt forskning kan förslagsvis göras med rektorer och skolledning på fler skolor för att få en djupare insyn i hur pass stor okunskapen kring ämnet svenska som andraspråk är..

Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur pedagoger tänker kring fenomenet samling. Jag ville också ta reda på hur musik skulle kunna användas i samlingar. För att ta reda på detta delades enkäter ut till olika förskolor i Malmö. Observationer genomfördes för att få exempel på hur musik kunde användas i en samling. Stor del av litteraturen har kretsat kring barns intresse, erfarenheter och aktiva barn kopplat till samlingar.

I takt med att varumärken fått en allt större betydelse i samhället har också definitionen av vad som kan utgöra ett varumärke breddats. Dagens varumärkeslagstiftning stadgar att alla former som kan anses ha en särskiljande funktion även kan bli föremål för varumärkesskydd så länge som ett antal utryckliga registreringshinder inte föreligger. Denna formulering inkluderar även varans egen formgivning varvid det finns risk för att varumärkesskyddet kan fungera som ett alternativ till exempelvis patent eller mönsterskydd. Varumärkesskyddet är inte tidsbegränsat, och det ställs heller inte några krav på nyskapande, vilket gör att varumärkesskyddet i de överlappande fallen dessutom kan anses som mer förmånligt än övriga immaterialrätter. Sett ur samhällets synvinkel är en sådan situation inte önskvärd eftersom den tekniska utvecklingen riskerar att hämmas.

The basic idea behind an extra year in school was to offer students who have not read nine years in Swedish primary school an opportunity to prepare themselves to pass a high school. This first group that went an extra year in school consisted of eleven students who completed their studies and went on to high school. During the time the group expanded, the school received students from various schools in the same municipality. During the follow-up of these groups could be noted that there were many students who registered, but only few students completed their studies and went on to high school. The purpose of this study was to explore why leadership in the classroom is important for students.

Varumärkesrätten har anpassat sig efter denna ordning genom att utvidga skyddet för kända varumärken. Samtidigt är det nästan uteslutande välkända varumärken som förlorar sitt varumärkesskydd genom degeneration.

Abstract. The trade in prostitution/sexual services is regarded as a major social problem in Sweden. The prostitutes are seen as a group of passive, neglected and exploited victims, subject to repeated and forced outrage. However, there exists a network of sexworkers who claim their free will in selling sex as a trademark. They describe themselves as active subjects with a business of selling sex out of free will.

The essay concerns "the knowledge society", IT and the possibilities of school being changedto meet the future. The purpose was to reflect the ideas of researchers and authorities concerningwork and education in "the knowledge society" and to illuminate/shed light on theimportance of information technology in this connection, to map organizational and pedagogicalshortcomings in the current school system and the changes that can be needed, and to investigatehow these changes can affect teachers, pupils and librarians.The investigation, which was a text analysis of normative and futurist sources, was especiallydirected towards how modem information technology can influence education/teaching.The differences between researchers and authorities were most obvious in the view of theimportance of knowledge of facts and central control mechanisms for standards or grading.For the authorities, who were devoid of a thought out/carefully prepared and consequent viewof knowledge and by that also of pedagogics, the information technique was the foremostcause of a change in pedagogy. The researchers also perceived the possibilities of IT, butemphasized the importance of pedagogical innovations irrespective of the technology.

The purpose of this thesis is to develop a secure communications protocol for use between the Halfpipe Active Desktop client and server. This is done by determining requirements, analyzing candidate protocols and then by designing the final protocol.

The Göta älv-bridge is a welded steelbridge which is located in Gothenburg,it connects the inner city of Gothenburgwith the island Hisingen. Cracks wasdiscovered in the steel in 1999-2000which started an investigation of thebridge to clearify the condition of thebridge. The conclusion was a monitoringsystem based on laser light sent throughan optical fiber.This report describes the bridge, thedamages, the monitoring system and thetraffic on the bridge.Stefan Pup, at Vectura Borlänge was mysupervisor during this work. In myinvestigation the costs of themonitoring system and the costs ofclosing the bridge is compared andevaluated. The biggest investigatingpart is the costs of closing the bridge.The results of my investigations is thatclosing the Göta älv-bridge would cost 1107 300 SEK / day.

This bachelor thesis is a study of the European Union as a role model in the world. Its main focus is to answer the question ?In what respects did the European Union (EU) work as a model at the establishment of the African Union (AU) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR)?? By doing so it hopes to shed some light on how other unions in the world contemplate the EU. The method is partly theoretical and partly empirical. In the theoretical part, the thesis discusses in what respects the African Union and the Union of South American Nations might and might not be similar to the European Union.

The study sheds light on how individuals from different countries experience the labour action Komjobb. The study aim to examine in which consideration experiences of the action Komjobb differs among the participants. The study is based on eight qualitative interviews and analyzed by using the method of phenomenography. We have based this research on a theory about Social constructivism. Other theories that we have used are Bauman's theory about the changing value of work in the modern and postmodern society and Andersson's theory of unemployment as a social category.

The aim and research questions of this study are concerned about how, and what kind of, problems and subjects that citizens raise during verbal interaction with politicians and officials in the field of participatory democracy. The theoretical framework of the study dominates by theories with a positive approach towards participatory democracy, but there is also a broader discussion on the phenomenon?s strengths and weaknesses.The case in focus of the study is a specific phenomenon of participatory democracy created by the municipality of Växjö. The empirical material that is analysed is consisted of written text based on the verbal interaction from these meetings between citizens and politicians/officials.The outcome of the study shows that most of the verbal interaction was held between citizens and politicians/officials in a vertical direction and that a major part of the responsibility concerning the raised subjects is estimated to be in the hands of the latter part. In the light of under what circumstances the meetings are practised, the democratic and collective minded performance of the citizens is argued to be in good condition, despite the dominating vertical interaction and estimation of trust..

Syftet med interventionsstudien är att bidra med kunskapsutveckling kring arbetssätt för att utveckla elevers förmåga att skriva med flyt. Studiens syfte är också att undersöka om det finns samband mellan ordavkodning/läshastighet och skrivflyt.Interventionen genomförs i klassundervisningen i skolår 1 och 2. Under tio tillfällen skriver eleverna i sina tankeböcker. Dockan Mini, som är huvudpersonen i klassens läsebok, ger skrivuppdrag som diskuteras innan eleverna börjar skriva. Vid tre olika tillfällen mäts skrivflytet genom att eleverna får skriva en text till en bild.

Denna kandidatuppsats har som syfte att undersöka hur denna förändring påverkar de svenska dagstidningarna när det kommer till Apples iPad. Vår frågeställning är således; hur tar svenska dagstidningar sig an iPad som en ny medieplattform?Vi har valt att använda oss utav kvalitativa intervjuer med de ledande aktörerna på den svenska dagstidningsmarknaden. Eftersom det här är ett så pass nytt och outforskat område finns det begränsat med relevant teori att tillgå.
