In the automatic manual transmission system, Opticruise, the choice of gear is based on several parameters such as road incline, driving resistance and vehicle mass. Many different mass estimations are made during driving. A final vehicle mass is then used to determine the current gear. Construction vehicles are often not equipped with air suspension and can therefore not estimate the vehicle mass when standing still. If that sort of vehicle is reloaded while standing still an incorrect mass estimation will be used and as an effect of that also a wrong gear.

This thesis aims to develop proposals and models for a modular electronics construction to a future D250S Dual battery charger. The aim also includes investigation of possibilities to use some of Texas Instruments C2000 microprocessors. The reason for this is that CTEK SWEDEN AB wants to renew the present D250S Dual battery charger and lower the manufacturing costs. The thesis work has involved gathering theoretical facts for the development of a design on the modular electronic construction, the choice on which microprocessor to use, the choice of electronic components and facts about peripheral equipment to the D250S Dual. With the theoretical there has been developed different solutions to the proposed hardware and software solutions with comparisons in aspects of positive and negative.

The construction business is one of the most accident prone businesses in Sweden. In order to make it safer it?s vital that all employees of a company report all accidents and incidents that occur. This report intends through qualitative interviews, to analyze the knowledge and attitude towards incident reporting among the employees of the Swedish construction contractor JM.The goal of the thesis work is to hopefully contribute to an increase of employees? awareness on those issues.

Background: The most energy efficient houses today are so called passive houses. These houses achieve high energy-efficiency partly by having well insulated walls. U-value describes the amount of heat transfered through a building element, the more insulation, the smaller U-value. A typical passive house wall have a U-value of 0.10 W/m2,°C. The passive houses are primarily made as small family houses and not as a block of apartments.

Construction of an autonomous wind station was a project with the goal of creating a product that could collect wind data from a sensor and then transfer this data to a server wirelessly over the GSM network. The device would be powered by batteries and solar cells and function fully without requiring external power supply. This required that a small computer was constructed and programmed to store and send data at predetermined cycle times and programming of a server that received the sent data. The project also required optimization of power consumption and dimensioning of solar cells and batteries based on this. The construction of this station demanded research both for the selection of hardware and programming software. The computer was based on a microcontroller and a GSM module that sent the data over the 2G network.

A current conveyor is an active building block that can be used to implement most active and passive components. It differs from the operation amplifier in that it uses current instead of voltage. The current conveyor also has significantly higher voltage gain over a broader frequency range. To simplify the construction of analogue circuits and increase the construction efficiency it is desirable to use a top-down methodology. This means that the whole system is partitioned into a hierarchy of subsystems.

ABSTRAKT Patienter spenderar generellt lång tid på akutmottagningen, och i samband med Akademiska sjukhusets LEAN-arbete för att effektivisera akutvården så gjordes denna tidsstudie. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur lång tid patienter med bröstsmärta spenderar på akutmottagningen, hur lång tid det tar innan de blir triagerade och hur lång tid det tar innan de träffar en läkare. Könsskillnader och huruvida patienterna ankom i ambulans eller via reception studerades. Studien var en kvantitativ observationsstudie där 48 patienter deltog, 33 kvinnor och 15 män. Medelåldern var 56 år, och ålderspannet var 21 ? 91 år.

How do we match our education with the needs of the construction line of business and the requirementsof the Swedish National Agency for education? Is there something that we have to change?In this study I have asked our former students about their opinion of our education and I have also asked them to give me their view on what a good teacher is like. I have been able to benefit a lot from their answers in my efforts to be that good teacher. This survey took place at Facebook.The answers showed that we carry on a piece of solid workmanship. This is a degree project performed at Halmstad University in Sweden on the subject carpet ofreinforcement. This project is developed in association with Celsa Steel Service in Halmstad.The purpose of this report is to investigate how much time that can be saved if carpet ofreinforcement is used instead of the traditional way to work with reinforcement and seewhat kind of parameters that is important between the choices. We are also going to seehow this product affects the situation for reinforcement workers from an ergonomic point ofview.Carpet of reinforcement is made by straight reinforcement?s bars that are welded togetherwith steel bands. Ericsson AB Katrineholm är en produktionsenhet inom Ericsson AB med ansvar för tillverkning och industrialisering av kretskort och noder. Enheten upplever en förändrad konkurrenssituation och har därför beslutat att Lean Production ska införas i verksamheten. Som ett led i implementeringen ska värdeflödesanalyser genomföras, men någon kunskap eller tydliga riktlinjer för hur dessa ska genomföras finns inte idag. Vidare är ett av de konkreta målen med implementeringen att ledtiderna genom kretskortstillverkningen ska förkortas. Syftet med examensarbetet har därför varit: Att utvärdera metoden värdeflödesanalys med avseende på ledtidsreduktion samt att ge rekommendationer till fallstudieföretaget för fortsatt arbete med metoden.

De projektsom studerats är Bygga om Dialogen i Malmö, Älvstaden i Göteborg,Vivalla i Örebro och föreningen Byggemenskap.Genom att intervjua en person från varje område studeras likheteroch skillnader i hur man arbetat med den sociala hållbarheten vidbyggnation. I Malmö och Örebro studeras arbetet med att öka densociala hållbarheten vid renoveringsobjekt, hur får de hela områdensom länge haft ett dåligt rykte att bli socialt hållbara där stort fokusligger på att anställa långtidsarbetslösa.I Göteborg och i föreningen Byggemenskap fokuserar man på attföra in den sociala hållbarheten vid nybyggnation och hur vi kan byggahyresrätter som har en lägre hyra än nybyggda lägenheter i dagslägethar..

To satisfy the demands and expectations from interested parties it is very important to carefully plan the companies tied up capital and cash flows. Purpose: The purpose with the thesis is to describe what actions organizations take to resolve the conflict between showing a positive cash flow and the need to tie up capital.The purpose is also to explain the different factors that must be considered when making decisions regarding cash flow and capital tied up. Method: A qualitative study of the actions and factors wich must be considered when decisions in swedish construction companies are made regarding cash flow and capital tied up. Results: A model of the factors and actions that affect cash flow and capital tied up in projects.

Värdeflödesanalys är ett verktyg inom managementkonceptet lean, en verksamhetsstrategi med rötterna i det japanska företaget Toyota. En värdeflödesanalys innebär kortfattat att identifiera och visualisera aktiviter som skapar värde eller innebär slöseri inom en process. Kartläggningen används sedan som utgångspunkt för att genomföra förbättringar ur ett helhetsperspektiv. Lean har sedan mitten av 1990-talet blivit allt vanligare bland organisationer i västvärlden och utvecklingen har gått från tillämpning på verkstadsgolvet till att leda även administrativ verksamhet. Synen på arbetsuppgifter såväl som projekt i form av återkommande processer gör att lean kan tillämpas inom de flesta typer av verksamheter.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på det Uppsalabaserade läkemedelsföretaget Kemwell AB, tillsammans med Leankonsultbyrån Valcon AB. Syftet med arbetet var att förbättra Kemwells produktionsplanering utifrån produktionsfilosofin Lean, med målet att skapa förutsättningar  för  sänkta  tillverkningskostnader  och  kortare ledtider. Inledningsvis gjordes en studie av relevant litteratur inom Lean. För att få en tydlig bild av den befintliga produktionsplaneringen genomfördes omfattande studiebesök och intervjuer med de anställda. Därefter analyserades resultaten av dessa, och lämpliga lösningsförslag på de problem vi identifierat togs fram.
