The building industry are currently going through a huge alteration. The introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling). Which also implements a lot of new ways of solving problems that building modeling can cause. This report is written for Uppsala University in cooperation with Temagruppen in Uppsala. However, it contains a comparison between two different systems that checks building models.

I denna uppsats studeras investeringsprocesser i det divisionaliserade företaget Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening. Studiens syfte är att beskriva och förklara företagets investeringsprocesser och i vilken utsträckning dessa processer är standardiserade. I studien analyseras dessa investeringsprocesser utifrån befintlig teori. Studien visar att investeringsprocesser initieras i den operativa verksamheten för att sedan drivas fram i den operativa verksamheten och i ledningen på enhetsnivå. Beslut fattas på alla nivåer i företaget efter investeringars storlek.

En viktig del hos företag som tillverkar diverse industrimaskiner är att utbilda den personal som förväntas använda och underhålla maskinerna. Detta är för att ge användaren en god förståelse för hur maskinen i fråga fungerar och är uppbyggd. Vid sådana utbildningar är det viktigt att tillhandahålla användarvänligt utbildnings-material.Målet med detta examensarbete är att förbättra användarvänligheten för utbildningsmaterialet hos en viss utbildning för projektets uppdragsgivare. Den utbildning som skall förbättras går i dagsläget ut på att manuellt simulera processer hos en specifik maskin via en hårdvarubaserad simuleringsmiljö.Resultatet blev en lösning i form av en mjukvarubaserad simulator med tillhörande grafiskt användargränssnitt. Användaren kan därigenom på ett säkert sätt simulera maskinens beteende genom ett PC-program och då t.ex.

How can we use modern X-ray technology to raise awareness of the information that is hidden in historic upholstery? The materials and techniques add information to the history object in question and  about a profession that is sparsely documented in our country. The knowledge we have today has largely been obtained by studying damaged upholstery, or by removing the show cover and upholstery, a technique which involves high risk of damaging the upholstery. X-ray technology offers  a non- intrusive way to examine historical upholstery.Through case studies, I examined four artefacts. The artefacts went trough an inititial visual exam before being transported to The National Heritage Board in Visby where they underwent a thorough X-ray exam.

AbstractAim: The aim of this study was to describe which coping strategies women use when they have been diagnosed with breast cancer. In addition, the purpose was to describe how woman?s self-image changes after a mastectomy. Method: A literature review study has been carried out with a descriptive design. The result of the study included 16 articles which were found in the databases: Cinahl, PubMed, PsycInfo and through manual search.

ISO14001:2004 : A Human Ecological Tool?This is a study by means of litterature analysis and personal experience to find out wheather you could call ISO14001:2004 a Human Ecological tool. The ISO14001 is an environmental management system. I'm approaching the issue from a users' perspective and putting my experience of implementing the ISO 9001 at my work to good use. Though my personal experience is limited to the implementation of the ISO 9001, it is quite relevant to the task since the update of 2004 the ISO14001:2004 is brought closer to the ISO 9001 standard in many ways.

För att möjliggöra användbara fuktmätningar hos byggnadsmaterial i produktion har treviktiga egenskaper hos mätmetoder identifierats: ? Enkla att handha ? Enkla att momentant läsa av resultat utan behov av analys ? Enkla att montera (om så krävs)Fuktstickan BTG uppvisar god uppfyllnad av dessa tre krav på egenskaper men gav docksämre resultat vid laborationstester och fältmätningar. På grund av detta så är den ej en avmetoderna som rekommenderas till produktion, utan föreslås istället för vidare studier.Betong har bedömts vara det, av de undersökta materialen, som står för den störstafuktbelastningen för de övriga byggnadsmaterial som den byggs ihop med. Därför har en,för fältmätningar i produktion, förenklad manual för fuktmätningar medelst testosystemetskapats och föreslås ligga till grund för kompletteringar till NCC:s kunskapsdokument.För isolering så görs bedömningen att fukttillståndet hos den kan uppmätas medelst enluftfuktmätare och för uppmätande av fukttillstånd hos trä, rekommenderas traditionella,elektroniska mätinstrument med tillhörande hammarstift på en förlängningskabel.För övriga byggnadsmaterial har inga metoder funnits tillfredsställande, utifrån de tregrundläggande egenskaperna som identifierats för fuktmätning i produktion..

This case study presents how the unit of munition-searching dogs of the Swedish armed forces handles their experiences from international service. The subject is particularly interesting as previous research into the area is nonexistent. The questions asked in the study are answered through the authors findings that training and preparation of this unit has developed thanks to the input of lessons learned from previous missions. This paper, based manly on experience reports, show that the unit successfully uses the method for handling lessons learned chosen within the Swedish armed forces..

The aim was to evaluate and suggest improvements for the prototype TIVOLI (sign-learning via computer-based playful interaction). The game purposed to give children who need signing as augmentative and alternative communication enhanced signing skills. Three children in need of signs played TIVOLI at home during 4-5 weeks. Data contained parental interviews, Talking Mats interviews, assessment of signing competence before and after the evaluation period and game protocols. One game interaction per child was filmed.

Industriellt byggande i trä och projektledningsmetoder hänger ihop. För att visa på vilket sätt de har ett samband har kunskaper om projektledning och byggteknik applicerats på företaget Martinsons sätt att projektera höga bostadshus i trä. Syftet med examensarbetet är att upprätta ett förslag till en hållbar projektmodell för projekteringsprocessen gällandes höga bostadshus i trä. Genom strukturering och standardisering av projektflödet i ett bostadsprojekt kan detta i framtiden gynna byggandet av höga bostadshus i trä både i Sverige och internationellt. Resultatet visar en flödesstruktur över ett bostadsprojekt, en manual till projektledaren samt en analys över beslutsunderlaget med rekommendationer på åtgärder för att uppnå en effektivare process utifrån både traditionell-och agil projektledningsmetodik.

Asthma is one of the most common diseases among children. The aim of this study was, through a literature review, describing children's experience of living with asthma and show how negative experiences can be turned into positive ones, by the nurse's work. Results showed that many of the children with asthma experienced respiratory- and chestproblems, tiredness, panic, fear, anger, frustration, discomfort, irritation and anxiety. Children felt most restricted in physical activity's. Education used to enhance children's experiences included relaxation, imaginary exercises and confidence training.

The economic crisis has affected the airline industry as much as it has affected all other industries in the world. The small airlines and maintenance organisations must find new opportunities and options in order to survive the harsh crisis. Priority Aero Maintenance is now an approved maintenance organisation performing maintenance on aircrafts, engines and components. The company sees economic gains in the future by becoming an approved organisation that follows the European Aviation Safety Agency guidelines (EASA) and meets the requirements outlined in the rules of Part-M.In order for the company to become an approved organization, responsible for continuing airworthiness of aircraft, a handbook should be presented to the local authority. This handbook describes the company?s responsibility for the continuing airworthiness in order for the authorities to get an insight into the company and its work.This thesis resulted in a draft of CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition) and this draft has been approved by Priority Aero Maintenance.The CAME will in the future be used by the company as a basis for developing a more detailed manual to be presented to and approved by the Swedish Aviation Authority (Transportstyrelsen)..

Lastflödesberäkningar kan användas för att se om ett nät behöver byggas ut för att tillgodose en ökad belastning, hur mycket reaktiv effekt som behöver tillföras, eller för att se om ett givet nät klarar av bortfall av en ledning. Syftet med denna rapport är att presentera teorierna för lastflödesberäkningar. Dessutom ska en manual till simuleringsprogrammet Power World färdigställas.Ledningens viktigaste förluster är genom: serieinduktans, shuntinduktans och resistans. Reaktiv effekt kan tillföras dels genom seriekondensatorer, för att motverka ledningens spänningsfall; och dels genom shuntkondensatorer för att kompensera för lastens behov av reaktiv effekt. En lindningskopplare ändrar transformatorns omsättning, vilket renderar i att spänningen i överföringsledet ändras.
