Denna uppsats handlar om stress och dess upplevda orsaker hos den svenska polisen. Uppsatsen utgÄr frÄn en enkÀtundersökning som behandlar olika bakgrundsfaktorer till upplevd stress bland anstÀllda vid de svenska polismyndigheterna. BÄde poliser och civilanstÀllda deltog i undersökningen. Bland annat undersöks organisatoriska och individuella orsaksfaktorer. I undersökningen deltog 107 personer som genomfördes med en internetbaserad enkÀt.

I augusti 2008 utspelades ett litet, men betydelsefullt krig mellan Ryssland och Georgien. Ryssland vann kriget övertygande, men ÀndÄ beordrades en nÀstan total omstrukturering av de ryska vÀpnade styrkorna. Den nya idén var att initiativ och beslutsfattning skulle tryckas ned pÄ brigad- och bataljonchefer och mycket pekar pÄ ett införande av manöverkrigföring pÄ den taktiska nivÄn, likt lÀnderna i vÀst. I den hÀr uppsatsen undersöks vilka förutsÀttningar som fanns för ett eventuellt införande av manöverkrigföring pÄ den taktiska nivÄn. Med utgÄngspunkt i just manöverteorin genomförs en fallstudie av Rysslands senaste reguljÀra krig, Georgienkriget.

Denna uppsats har syftat till att go?ra en kartla?ggning o?ver hur personer o?ver 55 a?r anva?nder digitala kanaler info?r resor samt deras a?sikter kring denna anva?ndning. Genom en fallstudie av Kulturresor Europa har studien fa?tt ett producentperspektiv som kan relateras till kartla?ggningen av a?ldersgruppen. Fo?r att genomfo?ra detta har en kvantitativ enka?tunderso?kning legat till grund.

The goal of this project was to make the requirement process at the Swedish Coastguard more effective. The first step to achieve this was done by locating bottle necks in the process with value stream mapping method. The result of this study showed that the biggest restriction in the requirement process was while examining older requirement documents to understand what elements were suitable for the particular project. This was followed by a study of literature, interviews and theory of Lean Production with the ambition to investigate how the requirement process was handled on other companies and how to improve the process on the Swedish coast guard. This led to a number of potential enhancements of the process which later was evaluated.

This thesis engages the topic of test methods for wood adhesives. Two test methods were evaluated, EN 302-1, a European standard, and ASTM D905, an American standard. The total amount of specimens manufactured and tested was more than 500. The adhesive bonds were tested in shear with an increasing load on the specimen until failure.The adhesives used were epoxy-resin, phenol-resorcinol-formaldehyde and a 2-K polyurethane. The test programme included five different types of intentional errors per method, in order to investigate the sensitivity of the test methods.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects ofparticipation in an integrated intensive stuttering program (IST) on stutteringbehavior, intelligibility and communication attitude, at individual and grouplevels. Five children aged eight to twelve years participated in the study.Stuttering behavior and intelligibility were judged by two independentstudents in speech and language pathology based on a total of eight videorecordings, before, during and after therapy. Communication attitude wasmeasured by the Swedish version of the self-report questionnaireCommunication Attitude Test (CAT-S). At an individual level, the initialstuttering profile and the changes shown during and after the IST varied. Ata group level, a significant decrease in stuttering frequency and asignificantly higher level of intelligibility were found, after as compared tobefore therapy.

The aim of the study was to illustrate how music therapy can be used in the care of patients with schizophrenia and other psychotic illness.The method used was a literature review. Scientific articles were searched in PubMed, Cinahl, PsycINFO och Scopus databases with an outcome of ten articles, with in total 330 participants, that underwent quality and outcomes analysis.The results showed that music therapy could provide potential improvement in the patients' social functions and that it could also improve negative, some positive and general schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms in some patients. The form of music therapy used was often creative music activities with music therapist, with or without structure, or individually customized. The length of treatment varied widely. It was not possible to draw conclusions about which type of music therapy was best.

Tripeptidyl peptidase II (TPPII) is an exopeptidase which cleaves tripeptides from theN-terminus of peptides. The exact functional role of TPPII is still a matter of investigation. Itis believed that the enzyme is primarily involved in intracellular protein degradation, where itcooperates with the proteasome and other peptidases to degrade proteins into free aminoacids. These amino acids can subsequently be used in the production of new proteins. The aimof this work was to express murine wild type TPPII using E.

This study examines if children in 5th grade experience any speech anxiety about speaking when everyone in the class will hear but while sitting down either by their desks or in a circle. I also want to find out how much the children speak; do boys or girls speak more than the other sex? Is there any difference in space of speech in the classroom, and if so is it connected to speech anxiety? Gender perspective is the theoretical outlook that this study has which is used to find out if there are any differences between boys and girls in the amount they talk in the classroom and the way the children themselves describe how it is to talk in the classroom. To find out if children in 5th grade experience any speech anxiety while speaking sitting down in everyday activities I interviewed six boys and six girls and to find out how much they spoke I observed the grade for a total of nine lessons. The result shows that some of the pupils do experience speech anxiety when sitting down and speaking so that everyone can.

Abstract:In previous experiments with the bacterium Ideonella dechloratans a probable sequencecoding for a cytochrome c protein (cyt c) was observed, the sequence is assumed to have afunction in the bacterial respiratory chain. Detection attempts have been made to try to findthis protein, but have not succeeded. The purpose of this project is to detect the expressionof mRNA associated with the cytochrome c. And if it is detected, it will also be investigated ifthere is any difference in expression of the mRNA due to aerobic or anaerobic environment.Total RNA was purified from cultures grown under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. cDNAwas then synthesized using reverse transcriptase and subsequently amplified with thespecific primers in a qRT-PCR.qRT-PCR testing showed a distinct amplification of primer product, confirming that I.dechloratans expresses mRNA coding for the cyt c protein.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how users at four public libraries experience the alternative shelf arrangement in their library. The purpose of introducing an alternative shelf arrangement in a public library is often to facilitate for its users. In each of our chosen libraries, the librarians have arranged the books in the non-fiction section in broad themes, with the Swedish Library Association Classification System as subsections. Using qualitative interviews, we examined a total of 26 users? experience of the shelf arrangement and its accessibility, their methods for seeking information and their opinion about the presentation of the books.

Under hösten 2007 gjordes en inventering av sötvattensmusslor i vattendrag och sjöar i VÀstra Götalands lÀn, Sverige. Studien fokuserade pÄ andelen juveniler i förhÄllande till total populationsstorlek hos ett antal arter, eftersom detta vÀrde antas ge en indikation pÄ föryngringens status inom musselpopulationerna. I detta projekt har fyra av de lokaler som studerades Är 2007 besökts pÄ nytt och en inventering av arten allmÀn dammussla (Anodonta anatina) har gjorts. Syftet var att se om det har skett nÄgon förÀndring sedan den förra undersökningen. Har andelen juveniler inom de undersökta populationerna ökat eller minskat? Inventeringen i kombination med de statistiska analyserna kunde inte pÄvisa nÄgon verklig förÀndring pÄ nÄgon av lokalerna.

The purpose of this study is to examine how two Muslim feminists perceive themselves to betreated by the Swedish majority society and within the secular feminist movement. Thesurvey was conducted using qualitative method with a total of two interviews. For the study'stheoretical perspectives, I have used postcolonialism and postcolonial feminism. The result ofthe survey and the analysis show that the informants say that they face an image of Muslimwomen as considered being under oppression. The informants believe that this stereotypicalimage has its origin from the colonial period.

In light of health scandals and intense debate in the media about the elderly, the authors investigates two Swedish newspaper and their depiction of elder care in Sweden. Using Faircloughs three-dimensional model and critical discourse analysis, it is investigated if there is a more prominent discourse and if so the impact of globalization on this discourse concerning swedish elderly care. A sample of a total of ten articles in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter is analyzed. The authors found that older people who are granted home help or place of accommodation rarely make their voices heard. Rarely were also relatives of residents given the opportunity to speak.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka vad en erfaren improvisationsmusiker, Joakim Milder, anser vara betydelsefullt för att bli en god musiker och improvisatör. Resultaten kopplas till relevant litteratur och egna erfarenheter inom omrÄdet. Arbetet grundas pÄ en kvalitativ intervju med Joakim Milder och tar upp praktiska, mentala och andliga aspekter. Jag har kommit fram till att det handlar om att inte stÄ i vÀgen för musiken, det vill sÀga: mÄlet Àr att uppnÄ en sÄdan nivÄ musikaliskt, teoretiskt, gehörsmÀssigt och mentalt, att man upplever total frihet att uttrycka sig konstnÀrligt pÄ det sÀtt man önskar. En öppen, nyfiken attityd och ett intresse för improvisation underlÀttar lÀrandet.
