Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka hur väl informerade och förberedda svenska gymnasieelever blir när det gäller internationella studier, jobb eller praktik. Resultatet visar att 85 procent av de elever som svarat på enkäten inte anser att de får tillräcklig information när det gäller utlandsstudier, jobb eller praktik. Detta kan sättas i perspektiv till att 79 procent av eleverna själva är intresserade av internationell erfarenhet. Alltså finns det ett behov av information som inte är tillfredsställt..

This literature study describes the ways in which the spread of rabies can be prevented in India, what guidelines are set and also which methods have proved most effective. Every year rabies causes the death of around 20 000 people in India, which makes the prevalence in the country the highest in the world. The main source for human infection is bite wounds from infected dogs. People and animals can be vaccinated both prophylactic and post-exposure prophylactic (PEP), despite this the disease continues to claim high number of victims. The majority of those dying are young men and children from the poorer part of the population. Knowledge among the Indian population on rabies and its transmission routes, wound care and vaccinations is very limited.

Safe retrieval of nutrients from human excreta to fertilize crops in order to gain adequate yields will increase food security and sustainability in agriculture areas with nutrient-poor fields. Safe and nutritious food will meet the dietary needs of the individual which promotes public health and the ability of an active life. Human excreta should be considered as a resource instead of being assumed as waste. Human faeces and urine is excellent fertilizers which may close the nutrient loop if utilized properly. However, sanitation of the excreta is required to prevent disease transmission by reducing the content of gastrointestinal pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and parasites. The objective of this study was to in small scale evaluate the sanitation in a combined liquid compost and urea treatment by monitor the inactivation of bacteria and viruses at the combination three start temperatures, 45, 40 and 35 °C, and three additions of urea, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 % and reference, 0 % urea addition.

I uppsatsen analyseras tre svenska ungdomsromaner från 2006 medan ytterligare sju romaner används parentetiskt som jämförelsematerial. Romanerna har valts ut genom sammanställning av enkäter. Det övergripande syftet är att studera vilken potential romaner som läses i grundskolans senare år samt i gymnasiet har för värdegrundsarbete med inriktning på jämställdhet. Fokus ligger på hur identitet och genus konstrueras hos föräldra- och eventuellt reproduceras hos huvudkaraktärerna. Utgångspunkt för analysen är ett intersektionellt perspektiv som innefattar social bakgrund, etnicitet och sexualitet.

Syftet har varit att undersöka och beskriva gymnasieelevers uppfattningar om dans i skolan samt om dessa präglas av sociala relationer och kulturella bakgrunder. Genom enkäter med 108 elever och intervjuer med fem elever vid en gymnasieskola har vi samlat information. Undersökningarna är utförda hos elever med skilda och ofta knappa erfarenheter av dans i skolan. Resultaten har visat på samband mellan deras uppfattningar och tidigare erfarenheter av dans. Många upplevde dans som positivt men saknade en personlig relation till dans i skolan.

Med denna C-uppsats vill vi belysa bloggens betydelse för den unga bloggläsaren i Halmstad och Laholmskommun.  Genom tre teman som är konsumtion, livsstil och intrycksstyrning vill vi få en ökad förståelse för bloggens betydelse för den unga kvinnans självkänsla med fokus på bloggläsaren och bloggerskan.   Metodtriangulering var grunden för vår metodologiska utgångspunkt. Vi har tittat på skriftliga källor, tidigare forskning och tre bloggare som vi sedan intervjuat. Samt en enkätundersökning som utfördes bland elever på olika gymnasieskolor i Halmstad och Laholm, vi lämnade ut totalt 105 enkäter. För att ge undersökningen en bättre bild av hur läsaren upplever bloggen intervjuade vi även tre bloggläsare. Vi har kommit fram till att bloggen har stor betydelse för den unga kvinnans självkänsla och vi belyser detta ur en bredare kulturell synvinkel. .

The technological legacy from the early electrification of the Swedish railroads has resulted in a power grid with a lower grid frequency than the national power grid from which it is fed. Energy transfer between these power grids with different frequencies requires substations, adapting the grid frequency for the rail road power grid. For this purpose, a feeding power grid has been built, stretching across the country from Boden in the north to Tälle/Häggvik in the south.Power transfer in the Swedish power grid results in voltage angle differences which increase with increasing loads and transfer distance. These voltage angle differences are transferred from the power feeding substations to the rail road power grid, will in some extent cause loss of energy due to unwanted power flows from north to south.To minimize the losses due to this phenomenon, a power management system called EFS 132 kV has been developed and implemented. The system minimizes the unwanted power flows and controls the desired power flow for a good distribution of loads between the power feeding substations.This thesis investigates the extent of the transmission losses avoided due to the EFS 132 kV that coordinates the idling angles to a common reference point.The results indicate that EFS 132 kV affects the power flow, especially between the northern substations through an improved load distribution.

This thesis examines the environmental benefits resulting from the choice of environmental certification scheme, with focus on energy. This was carried out by studying the measures that were implemented as a result of the certification of Sweco's three largest office buildings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. The office property in Stockholm has been certified with the Swedish Environmental Building, Gothenburg with the British BREEAM and Malmö with the U.S system LEED.The results from the study indicate that an environmental certification can reduce the energy consumption by up to 59 percent and the water consumption by 20 to 66 percent. However; the interviews, literature study and simulations in MATLAB indicate that the size and scope of these environmental benefits depend on several identified factors: the type of building and its conditions, system selection, grade level, the choice of indicators, the ambition of those involved and when in time the certification process begins. The comparison between Environmental Building, LEED and BREEAM showed that Environmental Building for the office property in Stockholm gave the largest environmental benefit in terms of reduced energy consumption thanks to several large measures.

Fairy tales are commonly considered to be both timeless and classless. Since the 17th century, when most of the tales we have access to today were first collected and published, the idea that fairy tales are part of an oral tradition, and therefore more or less uninfluenced by academic and literary trends, have been dominant amongst researchers, critics and readers. This idea needs to be revaluated. Even if the tales might have their roots in an oral tradition the history of the fairy tale ?is not primarily a history of oral transmission, but rather a history of print?, as Elizabeth Wanning Harries puts it (Wanning Harries, 2001:4).

Vad är bildning och vem är egentligen bildad var frågorna som inspirerade till denna studie. Bildningsdiskursen har en lång tradition bakom sig vilket inneburit en mångtydighet i begreppets betydelse. Debatterna har gått upp och ner och än idag finns konflikter som sätter prägel på kultur, utbildning och samhällsdebatten. Frågor som uppdagats är vad bildning innebär och till vilken samhällsnytta den har i en modern tid. Den digitaliserade närvaron med dess makt i meningsproduktion ligger till grund för att undersöka hur bildningsdiskursen ser ut i media.

The amendment of a law which is expected to come may well have a significant impact on the Swedish real-estate broke market. The law change will probably have an effect in the number of ways real-estate brokers will compete as a result of the increasing variety of services offered. In order to gain competitive advantages brokers must be at the forefront in the development regarding the changing market. To do so requires that the company chooses an appropriate range of peripheral services that are profitable. The problem is to choose the ?right? services to convey. The purpose of this paper is to describe the services that are in demand for transmission and how the agents can work to meet the demand of this new market.

Mitt arbete syftar till att finna exempel på hur tyskan används som arbetsspråk inom svenskt tekniskt yrkesutövande begränsat till det maskintekniska området inom och utom Sverige. Härigenom söker jag för min språkundervisning sätt att konkretisera behovet av flerspråkighet inför det kommande förvärvslivet för att motivera elever att välja att studera fler språk. För att få svar på frågeställningarna jag ställt har kvalitativa intervjuer med svenska tekniska företag och deras medarbetare gjorts. Utifrån undersökningen har jag försökt finna vilka språkliga färdigheter som behövts och när tyskan är fördelaktigare än engelskan som arbetsspråk. Ur studien framkom att skoltyskan inte räckte som arbetsspråk. Vidare fann jag exempel på att användningen av tyska i yrkessammanhang omedvetet främjar tillämpning av kulturell och social kompetens vid mänskligt mellanhavande..

The aim of our study is to ascertain whether a hanging suspension fluorescentlamp for a private home environment is going to be attractive for a largeaudience. We want to open up for new uses of fluorescent lamps as lightsources.The main approach in this work is how to design a fixture with fluorescentlamps as a light source that will meet the requirements and requests of thehome environment could look like. At the same time we want to make a newimpression of how a fluorescent light source.Primarily we used a quantitative method, but this was rejected after a pilotstudy. Instead we used a qualitatively based method in the sense that weconducted a group interview as well as individual interviews.Based on data from the interviews and our preliminary work a prototype wasbuilt. This prototype is a fluorescent fixture equipped with 2x14W T5fluorescent lamps, dimmed separately.

This thesis includes an energy survey of the Herrgården pre-school, which has a modern heating- and ventilation system, and a comparison with Östers pre-school which has an older system. An energy survey of Östers pre-school has already been done by a group of three students and all the calculations and values have been collected from that survey. As of today, both pre-schools are heated thru district heating. It will be much easier to make smart and feasible energy-saving-measures by first conducting the energy survey.Herrgården pre-school in Gävle houses 81 children, therteen teachers, one cleaner and one cook. It was finished in the middle of 2009 and the staff has been very pleased with the in-door climate.

Migranternas självidentitet förändras och omkonstrueras när de flyttar till ett nytt land. I denna kvalitativa studie ligger fokus på identitetskapande och förändringar hos irakiska invandrare i Sverige. Uppsatsen belyser de följande frågeställningarna utifrån socialpsykologiska teorier om självidentitet och förändringar: Vilken roll spelar sökande av arbete för migranternas identitetsskapande? Vilken roll spelar inlärning av ett nytt språk för identitetsförändringar och vilken inverkan har sociala nätverk med egna landsmän på irakiernas identitetsskapande och integrationsupplevelse? Uppsatsen bygger på semistrukturella intervjuer med 6 irakiska flyktingar bosatta i Sverige sedan 5-8 år tillbaka. Slutsatser dras om att irakierna har skapat en ny identitet som är bikulturell, dvs.
