Brottsvittnens utsagor om gärningsmän är oftast avgörande för att identifiera gärningsmannen. Det är av vikt att undersöka hur dessa vittnen bör behandlas och förhöras för att dessa ska kunna ge en så korrekt beskrivning som möjligt av gärningsmannen. Forskning tyder på att användandet av den så kallade kognitiva intervjun ger mer korrekt information från vittnena än ett standardpolisförhör. Dock finns en effekt kallad verbal överskuggning vilken gör att vittnena får svårt att identifiera ansiktet om identifieringen sker nära inpå den kognitiva intervjun. Denna studie undersöker om effekten av verbal överskuggning går att påverka genom affekt, då affekt tidigare har visats påverka hur människor processar visuell information och ansikten.

The research within investment have focused on diverse formulas which are used in financial assessment, which also should be complemented with qualitative evaluation. Consequently, the focus should not only be on the execution of the formulas. Integration is a phenomena that occurs in all societies that experience any form of immigration. This process is dependent on how we analyze, both the groups of immigrants, and how we analyze the society in which they becoming integrated.Intersectionality is one method of analyzing this framework. By applying the categories: gender, class and race on the integration process, we get a more complex picture of the subject. Therefore we also become more able to adjust the actions and arrangement around the different questions of inte-gration.In this essay I try to explain what the intersectionality is, how it is used and how it can apply in integration as a specific subject. I also apply the intersectionality model on different policy documents from Malmö, Vellinge and Landskrona to find out if they show any awareness of this model both explicitly and implicitly..

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine and compare the process of starting a school library at schools which haven't had a school library before, and to examine and compare the experience of this process according to the principals and the persons responsible for the school library.I have examined two Swedish independent primary schools (age 6-15 years). I have made qualitative interviews with the principals and the persons responsible for the new school library. In all, I have made seven interviews. As requested by the new Swedish Educational Act, both schools had recently started creating school libraries. One of the schools had recruited a half-time teacher-librarian and the other had no staffing at all.In the interviews, I have examined the attitudes of the informants towards school libraries, if this attitude has changed during the process of starting the school library, the informants' experiences during this process and the informants' views on the school library as an agent for student achievement.

Bakgrund: Intresset för förhållanden inom omsorgen ökar. Efter att ha jobbat med personer med funktionsnedsättningar i olika situationer har vi undersökt maktförhållanden på ett gruppboende för människor med vuxen-hjärnskada.Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa maktförhållandet mellan anställda och brukare och hur de anställda resonerar kring makt.Teoretiska perspektiv: Vi har använt oss av Hasenfelds organisationsteori i samband med ett empowermentperspektiv.Metod: Vi har gjort en fallstudie på två gruppbostäder för människor med vuxen-hjärnskada, genom observationer och intervjuer. Denna kombination har varit nödvändig för att få kunskap om anställdas attityder och se hur detta fungerar i det praktiska arbetet.Resultat: Attityderna från de anställda som kommer fram i intervjuerna tonar ner maktaspekten i omsorgen. The aim of this study was to investigate if a mechanical recruitment process could be a useful tool for employers to avoid discrimination. National and international law protect jobseekers from discrimination during the recruiting process. Despite this individuals frequently report that they are treated unfairly when they apply for a job. In line with this research shows that some individuals do not have the same opportunities in the labour market as the rest of the population. This study focus on discrimination based on ethnicity, age, gender or disability.Today most of the hiring decisions are based on employers professional judgement.

Då ett barn ska beredas vård utanför det egna hemmet har socialtjänsten en skyldighet att enligt SoL 6:5 överväga om barnet kan placeras i det befintliga nätverket. Syftet med denna C-uppsats var att med utgångspunkt i SoL 6:5 undersöka socialsekreterares konstruktion av begreppet ?överväga? och hur de går tillväga vid sitt övervägande. Resultatet visar att inga uttalade rutiner fanns på socialsekreterarnas arbetsplatser, vilket resulterade i individuellt utformade överväganden. Övervägandet baserades ofta på personliga värderingar och ibland på forskningskunskap och rättskällor.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan i hemsjukvården kan göra för att lindra smärta. Metod: Som metod användes en litteraturöversikt som baseras på fem kvalitativa och tre kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

AbstractThis master thesis was performed at Scania transmission department in Södertälje, where the manufacturing of gears is done. Today a large amount of manual handling is performed between the machining and the hardening process. Most of the manual handling is done at the heat treatment department. The purpose of this master thesis is to give a suggestion on how to reduce or eliminate the manual handling at the heat treatment department. The possibility to use the same packaging throughout the processes will also be investigated.

Croatia is a candidate country for membership in the EU which creates a possibility for impact and democracy promotion. The aim is met by studying the following questions:  In what way has the EU promoted democracy in Croatia? How did Croatia respond? To what extent has the EU contributed to Croatia?s democratization process?  Croatia is treated as a case study of the EU?s democracy promotion and the method used was qualitative text-analysis.
