Internet is used today as a traditional medium for information exchange and social interaction. One of these is virtual meeting places where people meet and exchange information, socialize and exchange knowledge with each other. The group has chosen to examine the factors affecting the use of web forums, one of the virtual meeting places that exist on the Internet today. And look at how people use the web forum today in the current situation and how to design a web forum.A survey was conducted to find out how people look at web forums today, 80 people participated, and they got to talk about what they think about different web forums regarding how and why the use these them. Guidelines on how a web forum should be designed were also developed.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the relation between art, politics and ideology in contemporary art, focusing on the drawings depicting Mohammed the prophet as a dog, made by the Swedish artist Lars Vilks. His work is contextual in accordance with current art practice, thus letting everything related to the artwork become part of it, a circumstance the thesis tries to grasp in the widest respect possible. The drawings were published and spread throughout Swedish media, where they were later defended and criticized by a number of writers. Many debaters argued that the art work represents Western freedom of speech, and that to criticize them is to criticize fundamental democratic rights. This discourse tended to disqualify all arguments that questioned why such force was put into defending and spreading offensive pictures.

The purpose with our study is to investigate in which way a public field of action has succeeded to make the economic management more effective and also find out which factors/activities that have contributed to get the result of the budget in balance. We also want to find out in which degree the balanced scorecard (BSC) has contributed to the positive result of the budget. Method: We had started out from the qualitative method theory which is based on the hermeneutic theory, because we will interpret and understand. With this starting point we have chosen to use a case study with semi-standardised interviews supplemented with information from different documents, and to get the theoretic connection we have studied literature in the subject field. The analyse and even the theoretic connection have then started from, for this study, a special analyse model.

Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.

Syftet med studien är att kritiskt granska och jämföra lärares och skolledares syn på specialpedagogens handledningsuppdrag i förskolan. Utifrån syftet ställs frågorna; vilken syn finns det kring det specialpedagogiska handledningsuppdraget och ses handledning som ett redskap för kompetensutveckling?Studien fokuserar på områden som främst rör förskola, specialpedagogik och handledning. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med åtta lärare och sex skolledare i förskolan från fem kommuner.Utifrån syftet kartläggs följande områden i litteraturdelen: skillnaden mellan pedagogik och specialpedagogik, specialpedagogens uppdrag, handledning, förskola i förändring samt skolledarens roll. Kapitlet avslutas med teorier som socialkonstruktivism, social systemteori och utvecklingsekologi, som avser skapa en helhetssyn kring en människas livsvärld, andra världar runtomkring samt förbindelser dem emellan.

This report is the result of a master thesis at Linköping University - Institute of Technology and Uppsala University at the request of the chassi workshop at Scania CV AB in Södertälje. Since the beginning of the 90's, Scania CV AB has had a close cooperation with Toyota from which, among other things, the Scania Production System (SPS) has evolved. SPS explains Scanias' values, principles and priorities. The Technician department (MST) at Scania Chassi in Södertälje believes that SPS can streamline the technicians work and help them become a more homogeneous group. The purpose of this master thesis is to initiate an implementation of SPS within MST through two pilot projects involving both the product and process technicians. The SPS principle Normal Situation - Standardised working method was required to be implemented within one work task each for the two groups of technicians with special attention on the three subprinciples Standardisation, Takt and Balanced flow. The master thesis fulfilled its purpose as the two pilot projects initiated the implementation of SPS within MST and the three sub-principles Standardisation, Takt and Balanced flow were implemented within the two chosen work tasks.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur olika pedagoger uppfattar och beskriver möjligheter i sitt arbete med att underlätta och hjälpa elever i deras matematiska utveckling. Mitt underlag baseras på åtta kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med utvalda pedagoger från förskoleklass till och med skolår 9. I litteraturdelen belyses kommunikationens betydelse för den tidiga matematikundervisningen och tidigare forskning och undersökningar kring mate matiksvårigheter presenteras. Betydelsefulla aspekter i det pedagogiska arbetet med att möta alla elevers olika behov samt exempel på utformningen av det specialpedagogiska arbetet och stödet utifrån olika perspektiv exemplifieras också. Samtliga pedagogerna i denna studie framhåller elevernas språkliga kompetens som betydelsefull.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka pedagogers skilda uppfattningar av barn i behov av särskilt stöd och deltagandet i Marte Meo handledning. Studien är en kvalitativ studie med en fenomenografisk ansats som bygger på intervjuer med ett antal pedagoger i förskola och skola. De frågeställningar som låg till grund för studien var: Vilka skilda uppfattningar av barn i behov av särskilt stöd förekommer hos pedagoger efter deltagande i Marte Meo handledning? På vilka skilda sätt uppfattar nämnda pedagoger den erhållna handledningen i Marte Meo? Resultatet visar på kvalitativt skilda uppfattningar av studerade fenomen och företeelser. Det framgår att pedagogerna har erfarenheter av barn i behov av särskilt stöd och Marte Meo handledning.

Designing temporary cities is a study of the design and physical planning of five temporary cities. The purpose was to discuss and note the important questions to be considered, when designing the outdoor environment in temporary cities to create as good an environment for the visitor as possible. The five cities I have chosen are among the most famous ones in Scandinavia, and they represent different kinds of temporary cities. This was a deliberate choice to achieve diverse research material, and with that a broad view of what the planning stage generally looks like. Study of the cities has been done through interviews with the people responsible for the design and/or physical planning of each city.

This study intends to examine why the Swedish children?s programme Bolibompa is produced the way it is during a larger catastrophe. Our intention was to find out how the editorial staff, in the children?s department in the public service television of Sweden (SVT),was handling the Estonia disaster, the September 11 attacks and the Asian Tsunami. To accomplish that, we first had to find out how the children?s programme looked during these catastrophes and also understand how the editorial staff was working with children?s programme during ordinary days.To achieve our purpose we have been interviewing five persons from SVT, who was involved in producing the children?s programme during these three catastrophes.

Syftet med studien är att beskriva hur enhetschefer på äldreboenden i en svensk kommun beskriver arbetet med äldres välbefinnande och hur de konkretiserar den samma.  Studien har genomförts med en kvalitativ forskningsmetod i form av semi- strukturerade intervjuer tillsammans med 8 enhetschefer. Intervjuerna har transkriberats och kodats genom innehållsanalys. Resultatet har analyserats utifrån tidigare forskning och olika teoretiska ramar till begreppet välbefinnande. Enhetscheferna som deltog i studien valde att beskriva arbetet med personalen som det främsta sättet att bidra till äldre välbefinnande.

The aim of this study has been to examine what students within the sport of skydiving think about their education and the social spirit of the community. The purpose of the study is thereby to answer the study's aim through the following questions; how does group dynamics and social solidarity work within the skydiving community, how do the students feel about group dynamics and social solidarity within the skydiving community, and what factors makes the students feel included or respectively excluded from the spirit of the togetherness?The theoretical part of the study focuses on group dynamics and groups overall. Further on earlier research within adventure sports and skydiving regarding group dynamics and community spirit is presented. My survey is based on 35 interviews with skydiving students.The result shows that the community spirit within skydiving sports is described by the students as very special, unique, and strong among the members.

The key purpose of this research has been to study and understand how young people with Syriac ethnicity experience their identity, when living in two different cultures. The Syriac minority is something of a special case when it concerns establishing the identity of an individual, since syriac´s do not have an official country.To be able to do this research an interview has been done with four young students with syriac ethnicity. The four of them is attending their final year at ?gymnasiet? in Sweden which is equivalent to USA?s senior year in high school.The multicultural school is today a fact and many immigrants attending the Swedish schools today feels misplaced when they meet the Swedish culture through fellow students and society. A clash between cultures occurs and most of the students, with non-Swedish ethnicity, live some kind of dual life.

Due to better nutrition, veterinary and overall care, pet dogs? lifespan has increased. With more old dogs we see more health problems associated with age, among those cognitive decline, leading to deficits in learning and memory, disorientation, anxiety and other altered behaviors. Cognitive decline can have severe negative impacts on the life of both dog and owner, when the dog for example forgets being housetrained or starts being awake at night. Two pet food manufacturers have developed food with specific ingredients in order to improve cognitive functions or delay the onset of cognitive impairment. Hill?s Pet Nutrition has developed a dog food with supplements of a broad spectrum of antioxidants and mitochondrial nutrients, aiming to diminish oxidative damage in the brain, thereby maintaining brain function and improving learning ability.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur några elever upplever grundskolans specialundervisning. Detta gjorde jag genom att göra så kallade fokusgrupper, gruppintervjuer med elever om ett speciellt ämne. Ämnet som jag ville att de skulle diskutera var specialundervisningen i grundskolan.Resultatet kom fram i olika tema som eleverna upplever som viktiga. Två teman dominerade elevernas upplevelser av specialundervisning, nämligen, förhållningssätt och skolmiljön som finns runt omkring eleverna, lokalerna dvs. deras arbetsmiljö.Studiens resultat pekar på betydelsen av att lärare utvecklar en bra relation till eleven som man arbetar med, för att inlärning skall ske på bästa sätt.
