Målet med denna undersökning har varit att ta fram lämpligt bibliotek i programspråket C för generering och parsning av JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). Biblioteket ska användas för att bygga ett nytt API mot Svenska Spels transaktionssystem som ska underlätta för klientutvecklare att anropa systemet. Undersökningen har begränsats till utvärdering två utvalda bibliotek, YAJL (Yet Another Json Library) och Jansson. För att kunna jämföra och analysera dessa har jag implementerat ett testprogram som mäter deras prestanda vid generering och parsning av ett antal utvalda JSON objekt. Jag har även undersökt biblioteken utifrån användarvänlighet och robusthet.

I Sverige finns 298 ishallar och det byggs fler eftersom. En grov uppskattning av energiförbrukningen för dessa är minst 1000 MWh per år vardera. Alltså cirka: 298 GWh eller 0,3 TWh totalt för samtliga hallar. Detta motsvarar i sin tur 0,5 av Sveriges kärnkraftsproduktion eller 10% av produktionen i det nu nedlagda kraftverket i Barsebäck. Kostnaden för att driva ishallen i Jokkmokk uppgår till cirka: 500.000 kr per år exklusive moms, denna summa önskar Jokkmokks kommun minska.

This master's thesis deals with how a school class of 19 students that are 12 years old,perceive the conception of the library and its activities, and how this can be studied by usingfour different approaches: analysis of the children's drawings, analysis of the children'sessays and analysis of their answers to questions in an inquiry and in interviews. ?Min magiska värld? är en textil installation avsedd att fungera som en sagohörna i ett bibliotek för barn i förskoleåldern. Med utgångspunkt i 3 mönster skapas en fantasivärld som möter barn på bibliotek. Mönstrade ylletyger har tillverkats för att sedan filtas och placeras i rummet. Meningen med mönstren är att skapa en känsla av skog, harmoni och delaktighet i rummet..

SammanfattningSyftet med den här uppsatsen är att utvärdera tal- och ljudböckers klassifikation på biblioteket, hemsidan och i statistiken och efterfrågan på tal- och ljudböcker. Det bibliotek som utvärderingen har utförts på är Nordmalings bibliotek i Västerbottens län. Utlåningen av tal- och ljudböcker kommer att jämföras med klassifikationen av tal- och ljudböcker. Målet är att hitta förändringar som gör klassifikationen och beslut om beståndet av tal- och ljudböcker enklare för bibliotekarierna. Även efterfrågan på tal- och ljudböcker kommer att undersökas i uppsatsen. För att besvara frågeställningarna användes statistiken från år 2010 på KB:s hemsida samt en egen sökning av formaten på tal- och ljudböcker på den gemensamma hemsidan för Umeåregionens folkbibliotek,www.minabibibliotek.se, som gjordes i november 2011.

Sverige har länge fått tampas med problem som de inrikes omflyttningarna i landet fört med sig. Landsbygd, glesbygd och mindre orter avfolkas medan storstädernas befolkning fortsätter att växa. Särskilt unga människor flyttar, och de gängse uppfattningarna är att ungdomar flyttar för att söka jobb eller för att utbilda sig. Den här studien ämnar till att ta reda på vilka orsakerna till flyttning bland unga är och om orsakerna till flyttning skiljer sig mellan kommuner I norra Sverige och kommuner som ligger i Svealand. Studien som genomförts är kvalitativ och bygger dels på intervjuer med utflyttade personer från Jokkmokks kommun i norra Norrland, och Vansbro kommun i Svealand.

This bachelor´s thesis analyzes the debate in a number of Swedish media regarding the introduction of video games as a new medium in the public libraries. The theory and method used is discourse analysis. Three questions were asked: how the introduction of video games as a new media in libraries is discussed, how is it motivated and in what way the authors of the articles analyzed are speaking about new media and the mission of the library. The selected articles were divided into four themes and the analysis resulted in the identification of two main discourses, one which is positive to the introduction and integration of new media in the libraries? collections, and one which has a more negative approach and uses quality and culture as an argument. The conclusion is that video games are a medium so widely used that librarians have to decide whether or not they want to include it in the libraries? collections, and by deciding this they reveal their attitude towards the mission and purpose of the public library..

Jag har utvärderat Umeåregionens bibliotekssamarbete. Samarbetet innebär att biblioteken i kommunerna Bjurholm, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Umeå, Vindeln och Vännäs har en gemensam bibliotekskatalog och att låntagare har ett lånekort som gäller för hela regionen. Låntagare kan låna och lämna tillbaka media på samtliga bibliotek i regionen.                                                                                          Syftet med utvärderingen är att kartlägga låneflödena mellan biblioteken i regionen för att få kunskap för att utveckla medieförsörjningsstrategier och ?metoder på biblioteken. Utvärderingen innehåller en översiktlig kartläggning av låneströmmarna i hela regionen samt en mer detaljerad kartläggning av låneströmmarna mellan Umeå stadsbibliotek och Ålidhemsbiblioteket (Umeå kommun).

The aim of this study is to examine the historical information about women?s libraries and book ownership during the early modern period in the work of Carl Magnus Carlander, Svenska bibliotek och ex-libris [Swedish libraries and ex-libris] (1904) and to inquire the scientific value of the information. A gender perspective is applied to the study. Vårt syfte med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka hur förskollärare och föräldrar arbetar med barnlitteratur och högläsning i förskola och hem. Vi intervjuade därför fyra förskollärare samt lät föräldrarna till de barn som går på intervjupersonernas avdelningar fylla i en enkät. För att få kunskap om varför och hur man kan arbeta med barnlitteratur och högläsning använde vi oss av litteraturundersökning. Genom vårt intervjumaterial fann vi att förskollärarna arbetar med barnlitteratur och högläsning i olika grad och med olika metoder. Alla föräldrar i vår enkätundersökning läser högt för sina barn.

The main focal point of this study is about public libraries and its possible roles in today's society. Going from having had a clear educational orientation, public libraries has with time amassed several other roles, which all need to relate to the swedish law regarding libraries and other governing documents, as well as business plans. This thesis focus on a qualitative investigation, which was conducted through in-depth interviews with librarians and other staff at a public library in Stockholm, named bibliotek Plattan, to ascertain the prevailing opinions within this facility about the role of libraries and librarians. The choice of examine this particular library was based on the fact that bibliotek Plattan differs from the public library in general and only offers material for adults. Their collection of litterature is primarily based on fiction novels.

This thesis is an attempt to study how a library that is driven by a contractor works. How allinvolved parts can cooperate. The main method used, is qualitative interviews. The authorshave made a survey at the public library in Järna in Södertälje county, where Boktjänst i JärnaAB has the business on contract since 1991.Following areas have been studied: organisation and assignment; librarysphere of activity andservices; the relations to the main library, and the vision for the future of the library.Some of the conclusions drawn by the authors are that when tenders are invited for a job, thelocal conditions must be taken into consideration. The aim of this thesis is to fill a knowledge gap regarding how online players use libraries, their attitude towards libraries and what they want out of future libraries. We see it as a problem that the library world of today does not have much knowledge about an audience that is so prevalent in society.The theory used in the thesis is Henrik Jochumsen, Casper Rasmussen Hvenegaard & Dorte Skot-Hansens model that divides libraries into four functions. The four functions are meetings, knowledge, inspiration and experiences. This thesis conducts a comparative study between two academiclibraries, one Swedish and one English, in order to analyse ifdifferent funding systems influence the marketing of theirservices. The theoretic foundation is built on relationshipmarketing, which emphasises the importance of creating andmaintaining relationships.
