Detta är ett examensarbete på högskoleingenjörsnivå på KTH med inriktning datateknik. Arbetet innehåller beskrivning av hur man ska kunna lösa automatiserade e-postutskick vid händelser på ett ordersystem hos Svenskt Militärhistoriskt Bibliotek. Parkbiblioteket Detta examensprojekt är tänkt att ge Högalidsparken i Stockholm och de boende i staden en ny plats att finna information på, samtidigt som platsen får en ny koppling mellan gatan och parken då gränsen utgörs av en bergskärning idag, och denna är idag planerad att ge plats för nya bostäder. Utformningen av mitt bibliotek är förenklat sett en rampförbunden terrasserad plan som tar besökarna på en vandring upp till den översta nivån där gångvägar passerar förbi och leder vidare till andra delar av Södermalm. Byggnaden hängs delvis in i berget med bergsförankringsstag och byggnadskropparna täcks utvändigt med falsad skivtäckning av zinkplåt. The main aim of this paper is to illurninate how a group of immigrants meet the publiclibrary in Sweden. I have chosen to discuss Iranian immigrants' meeting with the publiclibrary in Borås. The investigation (qualitative interviews and inquiries) has taken placein the public library of Borås and partly in a local library with high density of immigrants.A theoretical perspective deals with the case study of dual marginality, where theconception of the "Marginal Man" or "The Outsider" is central. I have indicated how theprevious authors have considered this problem, to live on the verge between twodifferent cultures and how individuals react on it.The interviews and inquiries answered by Iranian immigrants are the most importantmaterial in this investigation and the result of them is connected to the theoreticalperspective and a discussion, what it means for the public library..

Uppsatsen är en studie av fjärrlåneverksamheten av äldre tryck, med digitalisering som en valmöjlighet. Kontexten är dels utvecklingen av digitaliseringsprojekt hos bibliotek, dels det användarcentrerade förslaget hos 2010 års fjärrlåneutredning. Som fallstudier beskrivs två bibliotek i Umeå, universitetsbiblioteket och Sveriges depåbibliotek. Utvärderingens centrala fråga är om digitalisering kan vara ett passande alternativ till fjärrlån av äldre tryck, för att stärka användarvänligheten. Problembilden utgår från en frågeställning över tre områden: Hur ser fjärrlånetrafiken av äldre tryck ut? Vilka problematiska aspekter finns det kring fjärrlån? Vilka konsekvenser får ett alternativ som digitalisering?Fjärrlån utgör en mycket liten del av den totala lånesumman, och det äldre trycket av det samma en nästan obetydlig del.

The aim with this thesis is to investigate how librarians experience communication with children in reference interviews. In today?s interactive community it is meaningful to study how children communicate with the librarian in virtual reference interview as well as in ordinary reference interviews in physical libraries. Focus has been on finding out what children ask about and how they are asking in virtual reference interviews and in ordinary reference interviews, what type of information needs the children have. The study also focuses on which barriers there can be in reference interviews.

With background in the acknowledgement of the current period of major change in the characteristics of traditional Swedish foreign policy, considering the membership in the European Union, as well as the new contextual scenarios that Sweden has been situated in after the end of the cold war, this thesis aims at scrutinizing the Swedish Foreign Policy from 1991 to 2010. The purpose of the thesis is further to localize continuity and change in the ideas which Sweden has explicitly stated in its foreign policy. Based on the theory of institutionalism, the thesis also aims to bring forward plausible explanations built on the main empirical findings. This has been done by identifying different types of goals and means within realism and liberalism as well as categorizing each theory within three ideal types.The chosen research method has been a qualitative text analysis with focus on an ideational analysis. The material on which the descriptive analysis is based upon is constituted by the annual statements of government policy in parliamentary debates on foreign affairs.The results of the thesis show that the ideas that are related to solidarity, consensus and active foreign policy are constant through the period of examination.

Vidare har jag genomfo?rt en kvalitativ analys av texten och den grafiska formen i det informationsmaterial som Va?stera?s stadsbibliotek skickat ut till fo?rskoleklasser och skolor i upptagningsomra?det.

Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att se hur bibliotekarier som arbetar dagligen med invandrargrupper, ser på sitt uppdrag med att främja integration samt hur arbetet med programaktiviteter kan ligga till grund för integrering. I undersökningen intervjuas 4 bibliotekarier på 3 biblioteket som arbetar mycket med integrering och invandrare som användargrupp. I resultatet framkommer det att arbetet med programaktiviteter kan främja integrering eftersom det bjuder in till både dialog och deltagande.  Dock anser bibliotekarierna att det är möjligt att göra integrering till en del utav varje arbetsmoment som sker på biblioteket..

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur standardvårdplaner, kan vara ett instrument som förbättrar omvårdnadskvalitén för patienter och närstående i sen palliativ fas.Artiklarna söktes via Högskolan Dalarnas bibliotek och Falu lasaretts bibliotek. Artiklar från andra referenser ingår också i studien. Totalt har 17 artiklar använts i resultatredovisningen. Resultatet visar att efter införandet av standardvårdplan förbättrades följande områden; symtomkontrollen, anhörigstöd efter dödsfallet, kommunikation, omvårdnadens standard och evidens. Fokus lades på att prioritera viktiga omvårdnadsåtgärder och det visar sig att standardvårdplanen Integrated Care Pathway (ICP) är ett användbart pedagogiskt instrument vid kvalitetsförbättringar i palliativvård.

När de traditionella skrivbordsapplikationerna görs om till webbapplikationer, ställer det krav på JavaScript som används mer och mer för att få fram ett responsivt gränssnitt på webben. För att underlätta utvecklingen av JavaScriptapplikationer har ett antal funktionsbibliotek skapats. I vår studie undersöker vi därför vilket av de två populäraste JavaScriptbiblioteken idag, jQuery och Prototype, som presterar bäst i dagens mest använda webbläsare. Dessa tester har utförts i ett testramverk som vi själva utvecklat för att vara webbläsaroberoende och inte kräva något av de bibliotek vi testar. Testerna är uppdelade i fyra testfall som körs 20 gånger för att ge ett mer tillförlitligt resultat.

This thesis is of an historical nature and deals with two institutions in Bosnia and Hercegovina: waqf and the Library of Gazi Husrev bay. These institutions are placed in a societal context which makes it easier to understand their origins, development and decline. The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyze the history of the Library of Gazi Husrev bay and its specific characteristics as well as analyze the institution of waqf in a societal context. The questions posed by this thesis are: What is waqf and its meaning? What are its benevolent as well as hostile periods? How did the Library of Gazi Husrev bay and its mission develop? The thesis is limited to waqf in its societal context.

Mitt syfte med arbetet var att undersöka vad som påverkar hur barn väljer böcker för fri läsning i skolan. Dessutom ville jag undersöka om det är skillnad i barnens val när böckerna väljs ur en boklåda som är komponerad av en bibliotekarie jämfört med när de väljer direkt ur hyllan på skolbiblioteket. Jag intervjuade 21 barn i årskurs 1 och 22 elever i årskurs 2. Intervjun var kort och innehöll en öppen fråga. Mitt resultat visade att eleverna i stor utsträckning valde samma böcker som sina kamrater, men ändå upplevde att de gjorde det av eget intresse.

This master's thesis deals with the public library project called the GÖK-project, whichconcerned three Swedish public libraries: Linnestaden (Göteborg), Örnskoldsvik and Kalmar.The general outlines for the project were: reconsideration of the conception of the literaryquality, improvement of the library services, adjustment to the library user and reconsiderationof the conception of adult education to the public libraries of the 90s. This is the first investigation of the activity with feature film (video) in Swedish publiclibraries.Due to the Swedish copyright legislation, the activity with feature film in Swedish publiclibraries was not possible until an agreement was set between Kommunförbundet and SverigesVideodistributörers Förening in 1989.My investigation is based upon a form that I made in cooperation with Statens kulturråd.The form was sent to the main public libraries in the 286 municipals in Sweden. 250 (87 percent) of the public libraries answered the questions. 130 (52 per cent) of the libraries whoanswered had an activity with feature film.The main reason the libraries bought feature film, was that they hoped that feature filmwould attract new visitors to the library.
