This paper analyses the pricing on spare parts. Empirical studies have showed that manufacturers of durable goods make an unproportional large profit on its spare parts in relation to the revenue it generates. It is first showed that according to the standard economic model the price on spare part ought to be zero since the producer include an insurance in the price of the main good. Further it is showed that moral hazard alone do not explain the pricing found in the studies. Finally an analysis of whether consumers with present-biased preferences could be a possible explanation is made.

The effect of the salary system and age on the internal and external motivationThe purpose of the study was to examine how a fixed salary with commission and only a fixed salary, and age affect the internal and external work motivation of sellers. This was studied by a questionnaire and participants were sellers in the call center industry in Sweden. In total there were 112 sellers from nine different companies that responded to the survey. The respondents were divided into groups based on pay systems and age. The measuring instrument used was the Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale which classifies the motivation of internal and external based on six subscales.

General concerns about environmental issues may mean that the demand for bio-based products will increase. One product that has received a lot of attention during recent years (and is a contender) is nanocellulose. The purpose of this master thesis was to examine the Swedish forest industry?s view on the market potential of nanocellulose.

I takt med att designanvändandet ökar i företagens differentieringsarbeteökar även behovet av kunskap om hur företag på bästa sätt kan tillvarata och utnyttjadesign som ett effektivt konkurrensmedel. Tidigare forskning kring företags motiv och argumenttill att outsourca design eller bygga upp en intern designavdelning är begränsad. Därföransåg vi det viktigt att detta område uppmärksammades och studerades grundligare.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att identifiera och beskriva skillnader och likheter ur ett design managementperspektivmellan tre tillverkande företag som använder någon typ av industriell designi sin produktutveckling. Två av dessa har interna designavdelningar och ett företag köperin design på konsultbasis.Metod: Fallstudier omfattande tre tillverkande företag har genomförts.

Bakgrund: Under hösten 2008 drabbades hela världen av en finanskris som hade sin grund på den amerikanska bostadsmarknaden. Några år tidigare hade IASB infört en ny standard för redovisning av rörelseförvärv som benämns IFRS 3. Denna standard behandlar goodwill som efter införandet numera ska skrivas ner istället för att skrivas av som den gjordes tidigare. Eftersom finanskrisen har varit väldigt omfattande är det många företag som har blivit lidande till följd av sämre resultat och bristande försäljning. Vi anser att det är intressant att undersöka huruvida företag som är under en lågkonjunktur väljer att redovisa sin goodwill eftersom det påverkar ett företags anseende utåt.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

Dancewalks är ett platsspecifikt danskonstverk skapat och uppfört i olika semioffentliga rum. Den här kvalitativa studien undersöker resultatet och effekterna av en Dancewalks i Malmö där 30 arkitekter och stadsplanerare deltog. Dancewalks är i sig själv ett performance vilket påverkar studien och därför också undersökningsprocessen. Det teoretiska ramverket utgår från Non representative theory och teorier om hur människor interagerar i rum. Tillvägagångssättet för studien är en triangulering av observation, fokusgrupp och semistrukturerade intervjuer.
