A large amount of our time is spent indoors in an artificial climate. To make the experience pleasant there are requirements on the ventilation and the heating system. At the present time the most common form of heating is a radiator system complemented with a ventilation system. A ceiling heating system with combined heating and ventilation can replace the two separated systems. The benefit with a ceiling heating solution is that it saves space since the radiator system is no longer needed.

Resultatet från ett flertal vetenskapliga studier indikerar på att en god kosthållning har en positiv inverkan på idrottsliga prestationer. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det fanns några skillnader i kostintag, daglig fysisk aktivitet och intermittent uthållighet hos elitsatsande fjortonåriga fotbollspelare vid fotbollsakademier i Sverige och i Sydafrika. Testpersonerna bestod av nio sydafrikanska fotbollspelare och fjorton svenska. Samtliga spelare var pojkar födda år 1999. De tränade fotboll fem gånger i veckan med sina respektive fotbollsakademier.

AbstractThis paper is about children and stress. Stress among children is a serious problem and to be aware of that as a preschool teacher is very important. I?ve focused on the youngest childrenin preschool. I?ve searched for information in litterateur and articles.

Different field tests are currently used in a wide extent in different levels of soccer teams. To be able to assess the players? physiological status the tests must have high validity, reliability and external validity. Many different tests have been developt, but currently only five of these tests are most commonly used: Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test (YIRT), Yo-Yo intermittent endurance test (YIET), Multi-sprint-test, Beep-test and Cooper-test. Presently there is no definitive conclusion regarding which of these tests is most suitable for soccer players.

Stress and time pressure is more present in todays labor markets. In financial markets a securities broker is forced to take decisions on investments under high cognitive load and under extreme time pressure. The research of decision under risk gained new ground with the development of the prospect theory and gave us new insights to the decision making of men. Prospect theory has shown that people are risk seekers when dealing with loss decisions and risk avert when dealing with profit decisions. The value function are defined over gains and losses.

Positive action is measures that usually constitute discrimination but which are justified when achieving the purpose of an effective equality between people of the society. Positive action regarding gender is regulated in primary law, secondary law and case law of the EU whereas positive action regarding other discrimination groups is regulated in secondary law and negligible regulated in case law.There is a boundary between positive action and discrimination. Primary law gives little guidance on determine that boundary. Secondary law provides more advanced guidelines of how to determining were the boundary is.When determining were the boundaries lays between positive action and discrimination the guidelines given by the European court of justice in case law can be used. Detta arbete är utfört hos Videum AB i Växjö i syfte att visa på skillnader i energiförbrukning mellan deras ventilationssystem samt hur lång tid det skulle ta för en möjlig investering i ett nytt ventilationssystem att återbetala sig.För att uppnå detta utfördes beräkningar på olika faktor som bidrar till den totala energianvändningen hos ventilationssystemet. I denna undersökning behandlas fläktar, golvaggregat och värmeförluster genom ventilation. Den största påverkande faktorn i den totala energiförbrukningen är värmeförluster genom ventilation.Resultatet av vår undersökning visar att det är billigare att använda i VAV-system än ett CAV-system under rådande förhållanden enligt våra beräkningar. En årlig besparing på 29465 kronor per våning vid byte från CAV-system till VAV-system uppnås. Det är värt att byta ventilationssystem även fast att investeringskostnaden inte sparar in sig under dess livstid.

The number of HIV- positive is increasing all over the world and it's very likely to meet these patients as a nurse. The interaction between the nurse and the patient is characterized by experience and knowledge and at the same time the nurse is expected to act professionally. The purpose of this literature review is to investigate the nurse's complex of problems regarding the treatment of the HIV- positive patient by exploring the attitudes against HIV among nurses and how the nurse can maintain the integrity of the HIV- positive patient. Antonovsky's salutoqenic model, sense of coherence, has been used as theoretical frame. From 14 articles five topics have been found that influence the nurse's attitudes against HIV-positive patients.

Elanvändningen till ventilation har ökat med 40 % sedan 1990 i Sverige. Ventilationen är en miljöbov enligt undersökningar som visar att elanvändningen till ventilationssystemens fläktar kan reduceras. Minskning av elförbrukningen kan t.ex. uppnås genom utbyte av fläktmotor till en EC-motor eller till en fläkt med bakåtböjda skovlar och direktdrift. Effektivieringsåtgärder kan ge en lägre elförbrukning på upptill 50 % i vissa applikationer.Ventilationsfläktarna i Sverige förbrukar 12,3 TWh per år.

The main purpose of this project was to make a survey of the steam and electricity consumption at Akzo Nobel Functional Chemistry AB and give suggestions of how to minimize them. These three different areas were focused on. First to make a survey of all the most important consumers, second to find the electricity consumption of the air compressors and the amount of waste heat produced from them. The third area was to calculate a model of how much fresh water that is used during a cooling sequence in the water based heating/cooling system of the reactors and give a suggestion of a suitable reuse for this water.The main result is a total survey of the energy consumption in steam and electricity. The survey shows that the second largest group after drying is heating of ventilation which gives big potentials of reducing the total steam consumption if there is a way of being self supporting in ventilation heat.

This bachelor thesis has the purpose to visualize and document the air movementsprovided by different ventilation principles in an operating theatre. The visualizationwill be made as simple as possible in a physical model. The model and thedocumentation should be able to use in educational purposes.The study is based on the two most common systems for airflow, currently used inoperating theatres. The first principle is displacement ventilation in which the air issupplied at low velocity along the floor. The second principle is vertical parallel laminarairflow in which the air is compressed like a piston from ceiling to the floor.A review of literature resulted in the choice of size, design, and scale factor for themodel, as well as choices of ventilation principles and airflows.

People live longer. There is a growing need to increase the knowledge of aging and of the need among the elderly for medical care in the near future. As a step towards meeting this need, a survey among the elderly in Skåne is made by the division of Geriatric Medicine in Malmö University Hospital. This survey is called Gott åldrande i Skåne, GÅS. A frequent decease among the elderly is Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).
