In the last couple of decades, corporate law firms have rapidly grown to become both influential and highly profitable corporations in the business world. Today, the largest law firms are assumed to bear far greater resemblance to large and often multinational public limited companies than the small businesses generally associated with legal services. However, one interesting specific set them apart from the majority of other companies; the partnership and its interrelated profit sharing. The aim of this study has therefore been to investigate partner compensation systems in corporate law firms and further examine what implications chosen compensation systems have on the organizations. Using a multiple case study, including 7 of Scandinavia?s largest and most well known law firms, the results show that partner compensation systems are highly individual and the critical question is whether to employ seniority based or performance based compensation systems.

This report relate a concept study that consider a number of different proposals to improve the overcharging system in BAE Systems Ha?gglunds tracked vehicle series BvS10, to maintain sealevel power at extreme altitude.At high altitude the power losses beacuase of the air density that decreases, which results in less fuel can be burned. The decreasing of air density also gives rise to fatigue failure of the turbocharger unless power is reduced.The proposals shall be as required by BAE Systems Ha?gglunds economically sustainable and defensible from a packing perspective. That means the selected solution must have a reasonable price tag and at the same time a minimal impact on adjacent components.The basis for this thesis is based on benchmarking of both the auto industry as the flight industry, to find inspiration and tips for improvement.Some of the concepts have after gathering facts and calculations been excluded while other solutions has been considered as workable and thus interesting for BAE Systems Ha?gglunds.Initially the current turbochargingsystem was analyzed in order to determine the starting point and thus be able to fix the current problems surrounding high altitude driving.

Test bench for air bearingsThis thesis work consisted of bringing forward and defining the test parameters relevant for a test bench and constructing a test bench that can test and verify the largest existing air bearings that are of use in Micronic Laser Systems AB machines. Because the knowledge about air bearings is limited it is thought that with the help of the test bench the knowledge would increase and in that way improve the air bearings.After learning more about air bearings and their purpose at Micronic Laser Systems AB, I started the concept phase for the test bench. For each part in the test bench I consulted my two tutors, Torbjörn Hedevärn and Johan Bergqvist, at Micronic Laser Systems AB. The final concepts where documented as 3D-modells in Solidworks and some of them have been tested in Solidworks FEM-program.The test bench is designed so that, with the help of a pneumatic cylinder, 25 kilo weights are placed on the air bearing to test its stiffness, damping and the pressure performance under its surface area. To test these parameters the test bench has to have a pressure meter, accelerometer and a microcator.

The aim of this report is to investigate how two pre-school teachers and one school counselors? work with these newly arrived children in preschool to support their integration in the preschool.As the role of the primary school is so vital for children with foreign background in this new society, I would therefore like to take the opportunity to explore and show how meaningful the role is of teachers to integrate these children into the Swedish primary schools.In this report, the theory part is treated based on integration and on the schools suspension to multicultural backgrounds. The aim of this study is to investigate which management control mechanisms evolve in companies that receive funding from Venture Capital companies and why the management control systems evolve in the way that they do. A case study was performed on three Swedish high technology companies, that all received funding from Venture Capital companies for the first time in 2006. Merchant?s framework, defining all management control mechanisms as either, results control, action control or personnel control, was used to structure the study. Results show that the companies that received Venture Capital all increased the use of management control mechanisms within results control, action control and personnel control.

Syftet med denna studie var att studera hur den nyanställda integreras in i organisationen. Få en bild av vad platschefens roll i integrationen är samt att undersöka hur arbetsgruppen reagerar vid en nyanställning. Men även att se hur en ny fungerande arbetsgrupp skapas då en nyanställd kommer in i organisationen. Genom att ta del av de olika perspektiven har en djupare förståelse kunnat skapas. Materialet i studien består av en kvalitativ metod, med åtta intervjuer plus en provintervju.

This thesis is based on thirteen qualitative interviews with civil servants and politicians. The purpose of the study is to research these informants? attitudes towards integration and their reflections about immigrants? lower chances in an ethnically segregated housing and labour market. The theoretical frame of references is based on social constructionism and focuses on including and excluding power structures. The empirical material provides both structural and cultural explanations to immigrants? problems as regards inclusion in Swedish society.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera huruvida sfi (svenskundervisning för invandrare)-bransch har varit en lyckad socialpolitisk satsning från Linköpings kommuns sida. Med intervjuer som det största empiriska materialet behandlar uppsatsen ämnen som anses vara relevanta för eleven på sfi-bransch. Sfi-bransch framträder som en plats för lärdom men också som en del av en kedja av restriktioner som tillsammans motverkar syftet med sfi, det vill säga att berättiga sig ett arbete och i vidare mening integreras. Uppsatsen diskuterar även enheter som under studien framträtt som betydelsefulla för eleven, utifrån syftet med sfi. This study aims to investigate how small scale manufacturing companies reason around an implementation of a PLM-system, as well as the suitability of these systems compared to larger companies. The study is built on a qualitative method. Initially, secondary data was gathered through books, articles and reports. Primary data was gathered through four interviews. Two interviews were performed with PLM resellers, one interview was performed with a PLM developer, and one interview was performed with a small scale manufacturing company that opted to not implement a PLM-system.The results imply that overall differences between larger and smaller companies exist in regard to the need of PLM systems.

Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att skapa en bild av hur integrationsprocessen fungerar på individnivå i de fall där läkare från Rumänien rekryteras till Sverige. Dessa läkare har flyttat till norra Norrland tillsammans med sina familjer för cirka två år sedan, och därför uppstod intresset för att även titta närmare på hur integrationen fungerar utifrån ett familjeperspektiv. Aspekten som var mest betydelsefull att diskutera här har givetvis varit arbetet. För att kunna få svar på studiens frågeställningar samt skapa en djupare förståelse för detta fenomen ansågs kvalitativ metod vara lämplig. Sammanlagt har tio vuxna mellan 30 och 45 år intervjuats, fem läkare tillsammans med sina makar.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka vilken uppfattning pedagoger har av att använda de estetiska ämnena musik, bild och drama som ett integrerat arbetssätt i samband med läs- och skrivinlärning. Utifrån syftet har följande problemformulering preciserats med två tillhörande underfrågor: Vilken uppfattning har pedagoger i år ett och två om de estetiska ämnena musik, bild och drama i integration med läs- och skrivinlärning??Hur ser deras egen verksamhet ut inom läs- och skrivinlärning??Hur ser de på sin egen roll som pedagog i läs- och skrivinlärningsprocessen? Undersökningen har utförts genom att studera litteratur inom området och för att besvara syftet har det gjorts en empirisk undersökning i form av kvalitativa intervjuer. Resultatet visar att samtliga respondenter i undersökningen ser positivt på att integrera de estetiska ämnena i läs- och skrivinlärning. De flesta respondenter i undersökningen väljer att kombinera olika metoder vid läs och skrivinlärning.
