Kommunerna kan sedan början av 1990-talet välja mellan att erbjuda nyanlända flyktingarsocialbidrag eller introduktionsersättning. Den sistnämnda ersättningen infördes med ambitionenatt den ska öka förutsättningarna för flyktingar att snabbt bli självförsörjande. Med hjälp av enlinjär sannolikhetsmodell skattas effekten av introduktionsersättningen på utfallsvariabler somkan förknippas med integration i allmänhet och möjligheter att på sikt bli självförsörjande isynnerhet. Resultaten visar att deltagandet i sfi-undervisningen ökar bland flyktingar som bosattsig i kommuner som erbjuder de nyanlända introduktionsersättning. När beroendevariabler somförvärvsarbete på kort och längre sikt studeras ger dock resultaten inget stöd för attintroduktionsersättningen har en positiv påverkan på flyktingarnas försörjningsmöjligheter..

Respiratory disease with airway inflammation as main characteristic is common in the horse. It is a syndrome that is not yet fully understood. The etiology, pathogenesis and classification into different disease states are subjects for discussion and under continuous revision. Despite a number of modern techniques, the diagnostic procedure is challenging. There is no test considered to be gold standard when diagnosing these diseases.

Kenya is a country of 35 million people and is situated in Eastern Africa. 70% of thepopulation works within the agricultural sector and for many of them food insecurity is amajor problem. Maize and beans are today the staple food for many households. Goodfarming conditions enable two harvests per year and a potential maize yield of 4-5 tons perhectare.A major problem for many farmers in this area is the increase of the weed striga. The weedcauses severe yield losses, and has a major economic impact on smallholders.

Using a feministic perspective and a critical approach, my purpose is to discuss bibliographic classification, a central aspect of Library and Information Science. More specifically, my aim is to demonstrate the norms and the dominating thoughts regarding the organization and representation of knowledge, subjects, and social categories in classification systems. I review previous research involving critical approaches to classification. These show that classification systems are a reflection of the context in which they are created, with the result that universal assumptions can be questioned. Some studies also present problems inherent in hierarchical structures.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study the effects that geographical distance have on the control systems in a scattered organization and how this, ultimately, affects the employees in terms of loyalty and motivation. In order to do this, a case study has been conducted on a multinational travel group and its local branches in Thailand. The study is based on a selected number of theories focusing mainly on control systems in multinational contexts as well as on theories regarding communication and autonomy. The conclusion of the study is that geographical distance has led to a rather large autonomy for the local branches and that the headquarter to a large extent rely more on formal control.

This essay contains two stories that reflect the reality I face as an educator, as well as a reflective discussion about my self-perceived dilemma. The dilemma reflects a classroom situation where I as an educator have trouble dividing my focus, my focus is either put on entire the class or on the child with special needs. Through this self-perceived situation I have started to question how children with special needs find their place in the school today. I discuss how I can handle and look at the unique situation that occurs when meeting this child.Terms like integration, inclusion, segregation, social rights and the expression "a school for everyone" will be discussed in this text, as well as how we can connect these terms and expressions to the problems I find in the school system?s way of handling children with special needs.I also highlight my dilemma from different ethical perspective.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka orsakerna som invandrarkillar har när de väljer fotboll före andra sporter, samt varför väljer de att spela fotboll tillsammans med andra invandrarkillar i en invandrarförening. Huvudsyfte är att undersöka om fotbollen i det fallet fungerar som integrationsfaktor.För att få svar på detta använder jag mig av följande frågeställningar:Vilka är orsakerna till att invandrarkillar väljer fotbollen före andra sporter?Varför väljer de att spela fotboll i ett invandrarlag?Har fotbollen någon inverkan för deras integration?För att uppnå mitt syfte har jag intervjuat fem invandrarkillar som spelar fotboll i en invandrarförening. För att få inblick i andra aktörers resonemang omkring invandrarkillars förhållningssätt till regler och till andra aktörer, intervjuade jag också några fotbollsspelare med svensk bakgrund, samt fotbollsdomare och tränare.Resultatet visar att killarna i min studie är integrerade i det svenska samhället, fast de uppfattar sig inte som svenskar. Genom fotbollen, skolan och andra arenor har de integrerat i det svenska samhället och samtidigt lyckats att behålla sin kultur och värderingar.

The process of European Integration and creation of the single market revealed many questions and boundaries on the development and improvement of the European Social Policy. Pension?s sustainability has become the priority issue especially during the EU enlargement processes. Different policy instruments and institutions available to governments of Member States in realization of social objectives resulted in a growing diversity of pension polices which produced different combinations of public and private provisions - ?private-public hybrids? , with the state exercising different degrees of influence in their development.

When investigating mechanical problems it is often more convenient to deal with scalars rather than vectors. In this project methods stemming from the field of analytical mechanics, which lets one derive the equations of motion using scalar quantities instead of vectors, have been used. Two mechanical problems were investigated, a double pendulum with a spring and particles orbit in a sphere. The equations of motion of the two systems were derived with the assistance of computer algebra, using Maple and the external package Sophia. The systems were investigated with regard to periodicity and conserved quantities..

An effective Integration policy is important in Sweden while our government has decided and committed to be a country where everybody will be given the same opportunities. There is a greater awareness in today?s society of integration policy goals such as equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities for all. In a number of areas, however, the disparities between immigrants and Swedish-born citizens are still too large.The Swedish Riksdag decided on integration policy in 1997. The main task for this thesis will be to examine the motive behind the Government's decision to revoke immigrations policy and introduce integration policy.

The purpose of this paper is for the reader to realise how national innovation systems are deeply intertwined with the legal background of a country and to understand the processes that involves national innovation systems specifically regarding the stem cell / genetics research and how the need for specific community law must be considered targeting the stem cell patents. The legal part will try to answer: Why is it important given the actual state of the European stem cell national innovation systems for the European Commission to take a stand and tackle issues regarding the patenting of the human stem cell innovations? This is done from a country industry analysis (business approach) and then linking it with competition law from a community stand point of view (that tackles biotechnology issues). In order to achieve this the paper is divided into three separate analyses beginning with a theoretical background of general biotechnology / genetic terms that will enable the reader to have a general understanding of the importance of this kind or research ( genetics / stem cell research). The chosen countries case studies exemplify very diverse economies and development perspective from the traditionally R&D intensive to the least and from the biggest countries in Europe to one of the smallest, thus giving cultural, legal, economic and scientific variety..

More frequent and intensified rainfalls are expected to occur due to climate change in the nearfuture. This together with a higher proportion of paved areas increases the pressure on today?sstorm water systems (Risinger, 2014; Boverket, 2013; Stahre, 2006). Traditional storm watersystems (i.e. underground pipe systems) have during last decades started to be questioned(Olshammar & Baresel, 2012).

The purpose with this project is to explore and verify three renovating systems for Miljonprogrammet (common expression forbuildings constructed during the years 1965-1975 when over a million houses where built in Sweden) to take measure to thelargely transmission losses of these buildings. Many of the buildings from this period have similar constructions and thereforethe same techniques can be used to renovate several of them. This project only considers the climate scale, although thereare many more factors to concern for to efficient the buildings of Miljonprogrammet.This thesis presents examples of renovations carried out using two of the three renovation systems.The essay presents a reference house of choice on which we apply the three systems and calculate the new U-values,consumption of energy and the investment costs. The new U-values the building is given is matched to the values ofrecommendation for passive houses. Our reference house is a two story apartment building, located in the village ofLammhult, with brick facades at the ends and plaster at the long sides.

Vår studie handlar om hur pedagoger på två utvalda förskolor arbetar och förhåller sig till ett interkulturellt förhållningssätt. Ett interkulturellt förhållningssätt innebär att man accepterar och värderar alla kulturer på samma sätt och under samma omständigheter. Syftet med denna studie var att synliggöra vad ett interkulturellt förhållningsätt kunde innebära och det undersökte vi genom att intervjua sex olika pedagoger om hur de ser på integration, kulturmöten och hur de tar del av barnens kulturella olikheter i förskolan. Frågeställningen som vi valde att undersöka var: Hur ser pedagoger på två mångkulturella förskolor på kulturmöten och de kulturella olikheter de möter i verksamheten? För att kunna få vår frågeställning besvarad intervjuade vi sex pedagoger som arbetar på två olika mångkulturella förskolor. Resultatet vi fick visade att de två olika förskolorna arbetade utifrån ett likartat förhållningssätt när det gällde att ta del av barns olika kulturella bakgrunder men pedagogerna hade olika synsätt på vad en integration var.

Uppsatsen är genomförd utifrån hermeneutikens kvalitativa metod, där vår förhoppning har varit att uppnå en ökad förståelse kring pedagogernas förhållningssätt till integration i skolan. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vad lärare på de besökta skolorna har för förhållningssätt till integration i skolan utifrån två perspektiv svenskhet kontra mångfald. Studien genomfördes men hjälp av intervjufrågor eftersom respondenterna då ges möjlighet att med egna ord presentera sina tankar kring ämnet för studien. Det vi kom fram till i denna studie är att språket är en viktig beståndsdel i integrering avelever oavsett om det är en mångkulturell skola, en skola med kulturella olikheter, eller en svensk skola, en skola med elever med få kulturella olikheter. Elevernas bakgrund ska inte ha någon betydelse när det gäller bemötandet eller bedömningen utan den ska vara likvärdig oavsett om det är en elev med annan bakgrund än svensk eller en elev med svensk bakgrund.
