This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the effects of changes in management control systems following acquisitions, and deduce whether or not these effects are in line with the acquiring firm's objectives of the acquisition. Through a case study of technician consultant firm Energo, acquired in 2010 by ÅF, the study assumes the perspective of the acquired firm. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews at Energo and ÅF and complemented by internal documents to enrich and validate specific facts and statements. Data was then arranged and analysed through Otley and Fierriera's (2009) framework Performance Management Systems to understand how management control systems were constituted before the acquisition, what changes were made following the acquisition, how this process was accomplished and how it was experienced, in order to come to conclusions about the effects of these changes. The study concludes that the changes in Energo's management control system following the integration with ÅF, had significant effects on the outcome of the acquisition, primarily as it led to a high rate of Energo's employees resigning.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and investigate how the consumer-oriented commerce can be developed and integrated to the brand VĂ€stervik.This thesis has a qualitative approach and we have done a case study of the Swedish city VĂ€stervik. We have performed interviews, with eight selected respondents who have different backgrounds, but with competence in different problem areas that we investigate in this thesis.We have, in this qualitative thesis, found aspects that VĂ€stervik should consider if they want to succeed with an integration of commerce in the brand. We have through a model found common facets that commerce and tourism shares and which VĂ€stervik should consider in the process of branding the city.The results of this thesis are presented in chapter six, there we also have featured reappearing tendencies that consider the development of commerce and how the commerce could be integrated in the brand VĂ€stervik..

Syftet för denna uppsats Àr att utreda och undersöka vad det krÀvs i ett ledarskap för att fÄ in funktionshindrade pÄ arbetsmarknaden. Fokus för studien Àr att ur ett kvalitativt perspektiv utreda samspelets betydelse mellan chef och anstÀlld samt vilka faktorer som gör ett samarbete lyckat respektive mindre lyckat i processen med att fÄ in funktionshindrade pÄ arbetsmarknaden.Studien har Àven i syfte att bidra till den i nulÀget begrÀnsade forskningen kring Àmnet.Telefonintervjuer med chefer och bitrÀdande chefer har genomförts och resultatet i studien visar att det finns flera behov av att utveckla ledarskapet i denna process. Mer utbildning, öppnare kommunikationsklimat och högre kunskapsnivÄ behövs för att göra processen effektivare och mer fördelaktig. SammanfattningStudiens syfte Àr att öka förstÄelse för muslimska minoritetsgruppers bakgrund, identitet, vÀrdering och upplevelser. För att fÄ svar pÄ studiens syfte har jag intervjuat 5 muslimska respondenter. Jag har anvÀnt mig av den hermeneutiska metoden och jag har anvÀnt mig av min förförstÄelse och intryck för att kunna tolka och förstÄ respondenternas upplevelser. Fem vetenskapliga artiklar har anvÀnds i denna studie som behandlar olika fenomen omkring islam och muslimer i Kanada, Sverige, Tyskland och Norge. Artiklarna handlar om hur den muslimska slöjan bemöts, vad som ligger bakom negativa attityder mot muslimer, integration och segregation och diskriminering av muslimer.

Undersökningsobjekten, som ligger till grund för uppsatsen, Àr de köpande företagen Tetra Pak och SCAN COIN samt leverantörerna AQ Elautomatik och NOTE. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att framstÀlla en modell för att studera det köpande företagets strategi/er vid leverantörsintegration. Modellen som har framstÀllts heter DAD-modellen vilket Àr en procedurmodell för leverantörsintegration. DAD-modellen bestÄr av Ätta delar, vilka följer en naturlig gÄng som det köpande företaget skall genomgÄ vid leverantörsintegration. The purpose of this essay was to reflect on previous made research, on examining how youth?s identity is formed by living in an area that society looks at negatively. The theoretical benchmarks that have been used in order to provide a better understanding are: identity, exclusion, ethnicity and adaption. The study is a qualitative study, since there is an aspiration in increasing the knowledge and understanding, of the conception that these individuals experience, as deviants in the society. This is a literature-based study, focusing mainly on written analysis, which consists of reports, theses and case studies.

I was assigned to the thesis as part of a project GMA AB (Ground Machinery Applications AB) is running. The project aims to develop a new method for injection of drilled holes in rock walls. Currently, the injections usually involve cement but the basic idea of the project is to replace cement with a supplement called Silica sol.Silica sol is known as a gelling liquid. The gel time is controlled by a mixing of saline. Depending on the amount saline that gets mixed in, the gel time varies.

The aim of this thesis is to improve the control of urea injection at the combined power and heating plant Framtidens GÀrstad (FTG). Tekniska Verken i Linköping AB is the owner of the plant.The FTG plant consists of a boiler where garbage combustion is done. From the combustion nitrogen oxides are emitted. These nitrogen oxides are hazardous to the environment. To reduce the nitrogen oxides, injection of urea into the boiler is used.

Göteborg Energi has a surplus of district heating during spring, summer and fall. The heat surplus is due to a constant production of waste heat from oil refineries and heat from waste incineration over the year. It would be desirable to increase the demand for heat and the uptime for the newly built combined heat and power generation plant, Rya KraftvÀrmeverk. One alternative could be to integrate Rya KraftvÀrmeverk with a pellet production facility. By producing heat, electricity and pellet in a joint process the energy use can be decreased.

In order for any society to exist there must be a sense of belonging. In other words "We" need to be made distinctive and differentiated from "the Others". The aim of this thesis is to examine the processes behind the making and upholding of collective identities and the consequences of doing so. Theories regarding stereotypes, enemy images, power over the discourse and glocalization have therefore been applied to an empirical example in the form of a case study.The study is made on the municipality of LaxÄ in Sweden. Representatives on assumed key positions have been interviewed on their and LaxÄ's inhabitants views on the asylum seekers in the community between the years 1986 and 2005.Yet another aim of the thesis is to examine the possible connection between the perceived collective identity and the decision to close down the asylum facility in LaxÄ.

Syftet med vÄrt examensarbete var att undersöka om vi med olika övningar och lekar kunde öka barns sjÀlvförtroende att tala inför grupp genom en integration mellan Àmnena idrott och svenska. Undersökningen genomfördes i Är 5 i LuleÄ kommun under en sjuveckorsperiod. Eleverna fick i övningarna och lekarna trÀning i att exponera sig inför grupp. En tanke frÄn oss nÀr vi valde ut övningarna till undersöknngen var att de skulle kÀnnas roliga och engagerande för att fÄ en positiv effekt. Resultatet erhöll vi genom att dela ut en enkÀt i början och slutet av vÄr praktikperiod, samt genom iakttagelser i form av vÄra personliga loggböcker.

This thesis is a qualitative study of a new law that was applied in December 2010. The law is called Lagen om etableringsinsatser fo?r vissa nyanla?nda invandrare, and is meant to help newly arrived immigrants that come to Sweden to establish themselves in the Swedish society. The aim of the study is to see what discourses the Swedish government produces as a result of this new law. Interesting for the study is to see what happens in the implementation stage at a local level, in this case in the municipality of O?rnsko?ldsvik.Theoretically and methodologically I emanate from critical discourse theory and institutional theory.

I denna uppsats har jag anvÀnt mig av en kvalitativ metod. Data har samlats in genom intervjuer som har behandlat integrationsprocessen utifrÄn invandrare perspektiv. I dessa intervjuer har jag anvÀnt mig av en intervjuguide. Jag valde ut sex kvinnor med invandrar bakgrund som vistats i Sverige frÄn fyra till nÀrmare tjugo Är. Syftet var att ge en inblick i integrationsprocessen utifrÄn invandrarens perspektiv dÀr bemötande frÄn samhÀllets sida, sprÄkkompetens och socialt nÀtverk ingÄr.
