The improvement programme Six Sigma has often been surrounded by an air of success since it was introduced in the 1980s. Yet there are cases in which introduction of the Six Sigma improvement programme show far from successful results, even complete implementation failures with no traces of the Six Sigma methodology or any improvements after completion of the introduction. These failures can cause severe damage to organizations through direct monetary loss caused by a negative result of the investment. Indirectly the failure can cause confusion in the organization and loss of employee motivation. The conclusions have been derived based on a qualitative case study at a Swedish telecommunications company.

Denna uppsats beskriver några elevers erfarenheter av digitalt musikskapande. Sammanlagt har fyra halvstrukturerade fokusgruppsintervjuer genomförts   där de fått berätta om sina erfarenheter av digitalt musikskapande. Resultatet visar att eleverna har olika erfarenhet av digitalt musikskapande såväl i som utanför skolan. De har definierat digitalt musikskapande som musik som är skapat i en dator eller inspelad musik som är redigerad. Eleverna har sett att lärarens intresse och kunskap, samt skolans ekonomi påverkar digitalt musikskapande i skolan.

Uppsatsen syftar dels till att analysera allemansrättens kommersiella utnyttjande, dels till att undersöka vilka miljökrav som ställs på utövaren av allemansrätt samt vilka instrument tillsynsmyndigheten har för att skydda miljön vid ett allemansrättsligt utnyttjande. Undersök-ningen har utförts genom studier av lagstiftning, propositioner, rättsfall och doktrin. Resultatet visar att ett kommersiellt utnyttjande av allemansrätten är tillåtet enligt svensk rätt men att utnyttjandet kan förbjudas om det blir alltför intensivt och ger upphov till skador och andra olägenheter för markägaren. Undersökningen visar även att det ställs långtgående miljökrav på en utövare av allemansrätt och att tillsynsmyndighet kan vidta åtgärder om kraven inte efterlevs. Naturen lider trots detta skada, på vissa platser, p.g.a.

Being able to predict the future had been an invaluable competitive advantage for any corporation. Forecasting is a vital part of any business, hence a good forecast allows enterprises to invest in a beneficial way. However, there are several ways to prepare forecasts and the forecast methodology can vary. An industry that is dependent on forecasts is the energy industry. By predicting consumers' energy consumption, Swedish energy companies can hedge on the Nordic power market Nord Pool.

Who is the most typical woman in ELLE Sweden (2013)? In this study we investigated the typical woman represented in the Swedish fashion magazine ELLE (2013) for women. Does a typical woman exist in the magazine at all and if so ? in what words and roles is she described in? How is this woman perceived in relation to the male gender? Based on the theory of constructionism; that the gender (i.e. What is female versus male) is constructed in the society and that media has an affect on our physical and psychological well being as well as our behavior and thoughts, the investigation of the female gender representation in women magazines, was of great importance to us.

Med utgångspunkt i den pågående debatten om datorskapad musik och dess vara eller inte vara, diskuteras i denna rapport för- och nackdelar för att skapa musik med dator istället för med verkliga instrument. I rapporten ställs en frågeställning upp som grund för att genomföra en undersökning. Syftet med undersökningen var att se om datorskapad musik kan ersätta verklig och vilka skillnader som upplevs när de olika typerna jämförs. Under arbetets gång skapades en virtuell version av introt till orkesterstycket España. Den virtuella versionen jämfördes sedan med tre verkliga inspelningar av samma stycke i en undersökning med studenter.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka uppfattningar sex elever, som regelbundet praktiserat yoga, har om yogans betydelse för stress, koncentration och lärande. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ undersökning av djupgående intervjuer och på forskningsrapporter. Syftet var, att med intervjuerna som grund, ta reda på om yogan har någon effekt på stress, och om den kan skapa bättre förutsättningar för koncentration och för lärande. Sammanfattningsvis visar resultatet på att eleverna uppfattar att yogapraktiken givit dem ett instrument att hantera stress. De kunde uppfatta ett gynnsamt samband mellan yogapraktik och skolarbete.

Is Basel III is sufficient to manage risk and future crisesPurpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the application of Basel II and the transition to Basel III in Sweden with the banking system in focus.Method: The study has a qualitative research methodology for the collection of empirical data. The study is based on interviews with four large banks of Sweden (Swedbank, SEB, Nordea, Handelsbanken) and with Finansinspektionen.

The aim of this study is to examine the legal regulation regarding the psychosocial work environment for temporary agency workers. Furthermore, the aim of the study is to examine how temporary agency workers perceive their psychosocial work environment, and possible consequences of such perception. The methodology of the study consists of practical legal method and qualitative method in the form of interviews.The results show that the psychosocial work environment for temporary agency workers is regulated at both the EU legal level by Directive as well as at national level in Arbetsmiljölagen and regulations issued by Arbetsmiljöverket. The study finds that health and safety responsibility for temporary agency workers is shared between the agency and the client company. The result of the study indicates that there are shortcomings in the introduction and training of temporary agency workers, which can contribute to an unsatisfactory work environment.

Film is a tool frequently used by teachers, but it is often limited to showing students how historical time periods looked like, or as a way for students to search for historical inaccuracies. The aim of this essay is to study whether it is possible to use two films based on the legend of Robin Hood as a way to teach students how to contextualize gender history. Through the use of film analysis and gender analysis of two different versions of Robin Hood, The adventures of Robin Hood and Robin Hood: Prince of thieves were analyzed. The study has shown that it is indeed possible to use film as a source material for the study of gender history, and that film can tell us a lot about the contemporary view of gender, masculinity and femininity. The didactical analysis concluded that there was no theoretical objection of using film as a source material; however, there are some things that a teacher should be aware of. Although film may be a good way to create a varied study environment and benefit students with reading- and writing disabilities, there is a risk that time-constraints and lack of knowledge of film and its methodology on, behalf of both teachers and students, may make it hard to implement.

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) is a further development of the Six Sigma draft to carry through preventing quality measures in developing and designing of new products and processes. With increasing demands on enterprises development processes to be more safety and faster the need of DFSS arise as a product, process and service development concept in the organisations. Design for Six Sigma aims to improve and structure the development process of an organisation and consider the application of the innovation problem solving. The concept aims to leave the structure of the traditional Six Sigma concept and instead, from an innovative perspective, search for new solutions to existing problems. The concept constitute of a toolbox with a lot of quality tools that are divided into phases in a development model.

Counselling is one of the most commonly utilized tools in the work place. The purpose of this paper is to explore how four employers utilize early counselling sessions related to absences due to illness. A qualitative research method has been used and four human resource managers have been interviewed. The research questions have been divided into three categories: the counselling structure, the counselling model and the counselling dilemmas. The interviews have been transcribed and processed through these three categories.

Undernäring förekommer både inom sjukvård och inom omsorg. Det är sjuksköterskans uppgift att identifiera näringstillstånd och det kan göras genom antropometriska mått och bedömningsinstrumentet Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA). Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa sjuksköterskans nytta av bedömningsinstrument MNA. Resultatet baserades på 15 artiklar. Det är vanligt inom omvårdnad att personer är undernärda eller är i riskzonen för att drabbas av undernäring.

Aim: The aim of this study is to describe which messages and by which rhetorical means were communicated in political TV-advertisement in Finland and Sweden. The study also aims to analyze how the rhetorical choices were influenced by the political and social context in these countries.Material: Two TV-commercials from the latest parliamentary elections in each country were chosen. The leading left-wing and right-wing parties were chosen from each country.Theoretical perspective: This study is based on theories on political parties? vote maximization and the development of the modern electoral campaign.Methodology: The method used in this study is rhetorical analysis.Results: All commercials had similar themes and were characterized by a low level of conflict. This is related to the common Nordic context in the two countries.

My study is focused on one organization with is Unicef, the organization that is workning on a UN mission. The mission is about children's rights and Unicef has brought children's actions since 1946.The purpose of this essay was to research whether the images can be used alone or as a complement to the text that the communication organizations use. By examining the way images are used, I hoped to be able to deduce the results of image use. I study if the effect out messages with only pictures will be more effective than the message in which the verbal mixed with the non-verbal.Theoretical part of this essay has a communication perspective. The essay is structure by tree elements, non-verbal communication, mass communication and intercultural communication.
