Denna rapport är ett resultat av examensarbetet på 10 poäng som avslutar högskoleingenjörsutbildningen Industriell design (120p) vid Luleå tekniska univeristet (LTU). Projektet har bedrivits på uppdrag av Saas Instruments Oy som utvecklar, tillverkar och säljer fiberoptiska belysningssystem. Projektuppgiften var att utveckla och anpassa en redan befintlig belysningsarmatur i SAAS sortiment. Armaturen som har benämningen STEP har för avseende att sitta monterad i trappor. Hur och var detta skulle vara möjligt var dock oklart för SAAS.

Bakgrund: Att hantera en stokastisk, kraftigt varierande, efterfråganutan prognos ställer stora krav på de leverantörer som ska försörjakunden. Elektroskandia är grossist av det installationsmaterial som krävsvid installation av mobila basstationer. För att få en bredare förståelse avdetta omfattas även två andra grossister, Swedol och Würth, i dennastudie.Syfte: Det allmänna syftet med denna studie är att skapa en förståelse förhur grossistföretag hanterar en stokastisk efterfrågan. Specifikt utrederstudien hur Elektroskandia utan prognos kan hantera kundernasstokastiska efterfrågan, för att kunna möta deras krav samtidigt somlagervärdet inte får stiga till väldigt höga nivåer.Metod: I denna studie används ett induktivt angreppssätt vilket innebäratt teorin är resultatet av studien. Empirin i denna studie har samlats ingenom kvalitativa intervjuer på tre olika grossistföretag.

This report is about a thesis that is performed in and for SYSteam Engineering AB in Motala. The thesis work is divided into three parts, study of the market, programming and electronics. The study part consists of examining and comparing different data acquisition systems for testing of different circuit boards, taking into account the modularity, real-time applications, mobility, environmental, interface hardware and software, to be able to define a general module-based data acquisition system in both hardware and software that enables for future developments.The programming part consists of getting started with Visual Studio, which integrates the Measurement Studio for C#. NET. Measurement Studio includes classes and user controls for testing and measuring and offers tools for acquisition, analysis and presentation of real world data.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to study two subject gate-ways within the field of Swedish higher education and academic research, concerning structuring and selection of Internet resources to facilitate information retrieval for their target groups, and also to study two co-operation projects in the same field, one national and one European, to see how the co-operation is being carried through and how the gateways in the projects can serve from a wider perspective. The gateways, AGORA and NOVAGate, are being studied mainly by their Web sites and two e-mail interviews with persons responsible for the gateways. Facts about the national project are principally based on an interview with BIBSAM. The European Renardus is being studied out of articles and information on the Web site. From the results of the study it is being clear that the purpose of the gateways is to make a quality-selection of information accessible via the Internet and thereby facilitate for their target groups to find usable information.

The goal of this paper is to find out how solar cells can improve energy efficiency on-board M/S Sydfart. The paper is based on a number of energy measurements on board the M/S Sydfart. The solar surface is calculated by measuring the available space for installing solar panels. Global radiation data is taken from STRÅNG's database, the data is then used to calculate the theoretical power produced by the solar cells. Energy efficiency is analysed in two ways.

Inadequate data quality has a negative effect for organizations, however utilization of modern technology and data analysis may shape new values for organizations. Our research has found that the quality of information in field reports for error reporting varies significantly. In many cases, the information in the field reports are deficient in such way that the field report need additional information from the sender, thus risking prolonging lead times in the error reporting process. More efficient use of information has become possible with today?s technology.

Understanding how innovation and renewal occurs in an industry is important for how to manage technical development for individual companies. It is also important for creating a beneficial industrial context for renewal, from both a political and an industrial perspective, in which new solutions can arise and spread through the involvement of several actors of the industry. How innovation and renewal occurs in the construction industry in Sweden is however viewed differently. One challenge that has been pointed to is that most of the work performed in the construction industry is organized in projects, which in turn should affect how innovation and renewal can be achieved. The aim of this thesis is to provide an understanding of how the project organizing in the industry affects innovation and renewal. This is executed through a case study of the construction of Skandionkliniken, a proton therapy clinic, and by using an industrial network theory that challenges the traditional view of how innovation is achieved.

The research objective of this thesis was to conduct a holistic evaluation of an operational information system. By holistic evaluation we mean that an equal focus was placed on both the system system perspective and its users user perspective, in the actual environment where the system and its users function contextuality. In addition, the methodological objective of the study was to test a new research approach in a real life setting. The participants of the study were twenty newspaper journalists employed at Göteborgs-Posten GP. The information system NewsLink is a manually indexed full-text database containing all articles published in GP since 1994.

Litorapid Media AB is a printer and prepresscompany, located on Hisingen, Gothenburg. Litorapid is a relatively large company, and is therefore in great need of convenient contacts with becoming and present customers. Seeing that they work with the most rescent technique in the branch of printing, it is important that they market themselves in a modern way. The purpose with this project became, for that reason, to create a more contemporary home page for the company to catch new customers, as well as aninteractive presentation of the company to create a more personal contact with customers they alreay have. The home page was created in the programme Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, and its design is based on previouly distributed brochures.

Idag finns en mängd olika ljudkort tillgängliga på marknaden och många av dessa kräver olika instruktioner för samma ändamål. Detta kan leda till stora problem för bland annat spelutvecklare, eftersom det är till fördel om spelet som skall publiceras kan fungera på så många olika datorer som möjligt. Målet med detta arbete är att ljudsätta Clusterball® 2, med OpenAL, Open Audio Library. OpenAL är ett API, Application Programming Interface, som år 2000 introducerades, främst för ljudsättning av datorspel. Detta verktyg används för att skapa realistiska, interaktiva tre dimensionella ljud.

Uppsatsen är en studie i hur samhället och den konsumtionskultur vi lever i speglas i den samtida konsten och den offentliga debatten. Det didaktiska perspektivet tar upp samtidskonsten roll i bildundervisningen och hur frågor som rör konsumtion och identitet visuellt kan bearbetas och gestaltas i en lärandesituation.Utgångspunkten i studien är teorier om modernitet där reflexivitet, görbarhet och individualisering är centrala teman. Människan är idag inbegripen i ett reflexivt arbete för att skapa sig själv och det posttraditionella samhället betecknas av att traditionella normer brutits ner och individen tvingats bli något av en ?sökare?.I senkapitalismen uppstår nya symbolvärden vid sidan av bytesvärden och bruksvärden, symbolvärden som är knutna till livsstil och identitet. Studien beskriver hur människan manifesterar sin vilja att särskilja sig men också att tillhöra genom konsumtion som symbolisk aktivitet, där konsumenten genom att handla konstruerar sitt ?jag?.

I detta examensarbete undersöks frågeställningen hur och varför det motbjudande gestaltas i samtidskonsten. I gestaltningen prövas frågeställningen. Den består av en installation i ett svart målat rum i Vita Havet på Konstfack, som genom att fokusera på kroppsrester och rening gestaltar det motbjudande genom att kontextualisera det. Gestaltningen är beroende av en sinnlig läsning där lukt och ljud blir betydelsebärande. De material som används i installationen är jord, flytande kroppsrester, vatten färgat av svagt jodluktande kaliumpergamanat. Ett från början ursprungligt vitt badkar med badkarsplast som ska skydda emaljen från missfärgning.

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Ett bildlexikon ger en bildlig stimulans och gör lärande till en interaktiv lek. Men bildlexikon är inte enbart för barn, de skapas även för ungdomar och vuxna. De kan berätta historier och sagor på ett underhållande sätt, även återge historia. Deras syfte bestäms enbart av deras skapare. Det denna rapport handlar om är skapandet av ett bildlexikon.

Discharge of inadequately treated waste water containing nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen as well as organic matter and bacteria is associated with a risk of eutrophication and contamination. The Swedish government has decided upon several Environmental Quality Objectives aiming to reduce the emissions of nutrients to water bodies.In Sweden, there are between 675 000 to 1 000 000 on-site sewage systems. Recent studies have shown that the function of small sewage treatment plants is in many cases insufficient. To prevent this regular service and supervision by a professional is needed. The focus of this study are small sewage treatment plants which use a technique where mechanical, chemical and/or biological reduction of pollutants is being used in the same facility to reduce nutrients in household wastewater.The aim of the study is to investigate how different municipalities ensure that small sewage treatment plants fulfill the requirements and reduce pollutants as efficient as the manufacturers claim.
