Denna studie ger ett exempel på hur en musikskapande process kan se ut och har genomförts som en del i ett större projekt. Studien är baserad på fyra pedagogiska övningar som genomförts med 12-åriga elever (210 st). Övningarna består av: inlärning av en färdig klappramsa, att i grupp skapa en egen klappramsa, att lära ut den senare till sina kamrater samt att i grupper göra egna låtar. Tolvåringarna jag har mött har för mig bevisat att de kan skapa musik vilket också finns bekräftat i andra studier. Jag har under arbetets gång observerat och dokumenterat skapandeprocessen samtidigt som jag agerat ledare.

The largest project at the AICG lab at Linköping University, Cognitive models for virtual characters, focuses on creating an agent architecture for intelligent, virtual characters. The goal is to create an agent that acts naturally and gives a realistic user experience. The purpose of this thesis is to develop and implement an appropriate learning model that fits the existing agent architecture using an agile project methodology. The model developed can be seen as an online unsupervised reinforcement learning model that enhances experiences through reward. The model is based on Maes model where new effects are created depending on whether the agent is fulfilling its goals or not.The model we have developed is based on constant monitoring of the system.

Every episode has an audience at around 500.000 viewers. Because the channel is under the rules of the public service agreement, strict rules of diversity are applied.The purpose of this study is to examine the gender representation in Debatt; to investigate how men and women behave in the context of the televised debate and to see if the programme has managed to reflect an equal representation of the voices of men and women.We did this by performing a quantitative content analysis of four different episodes of Debatt, with 4 different hosts ? two women hosts and two men.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om lärares ickeverbala kommunikation är av betydelse vid andraspråksinlärning, eller med andra ord om lärares actio bidrar till elevers andraspråksinlärning? Detta har gjorts genom att studera huruvida det är möjligt att observera någon skillnad mellan två elevgrupper vad gäller elevers gensvar (eller mer precist elevers delaktighet/passivitet, agerande/ickeagerande, uppmärksamhet/ouppmärksamhet, kommentarer och yttranden/tysthet) när en lärare aktivt och medvetet använder sig av actio kontra medvetet utelämnar actio. Det teoretiska ramverket utgår från Marie Gelangs definition av actio och actiokapital samt McGregor et als teori om att gestikulerad input underlättar konsolidering av språkkunskap och att språkkunskap därigenom blir mer robust. Genom observation har en kvalitativ jämförelse mellan två grupper genomförts, där en lärare medvetet använt sig av ickeverbal kommunikation, eller actio, i en grupp, medan samme lärare inte använt sig av actio i grupp två. Därutöver har lärarens egna actio iakttagits samt att läraren har intervjuats.

Insufficient intake of vegetables is a reason for micronutrient deficiencies and malnutrition in developing countries. With urbanization, globalization and a growing world population it is of major importance to secure sufficient food supply for the world?s population. Part of the solution to increased food security among the world?s poor could be the introduction of vegetable home gardens, plots for small scale vegetable production which can provide households with sufficient vegetables as well as serve as an extra income source. The study Improving peri-urban home gardens aims at examining the existence of vegetable home gardens in the peri-urban areas of Hyderabad, India.

The presence of cystic ovarian follicles represents an important ovarian dysfunction and is a major cause of reproductive failure in dairy cattle. A cystic ovarian follicle is a persistent follicular-like structure on one or both of the ovaries. It is at least 2,5cm in diameter and it has to persist for at least ten days while a corpus luteum is missing. There are two kinds of cystic ovarian follicles, those who have a progesterone production and those who have not. A clear definition for this condition is lacking, probably because the heterogeneity of the clinical signs and the complexity of the disorder.

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of how cooperation functions between the health services and social services within Sollentuna County Municipal area regarding clients and simultaneous or double diagnoses. Focusing more specifically; the paper also aims to provide additionally, an inquiry as to how the implementation of the Gemensam Individuell Vårdplan (GIVP) (The Integrated Individual Service Care Programme or (GIVP) functions within the Sollentuna Municipal County Area. The questions asked in the paper are: How do the Municipal and County Council personnel experience how the (GIVP) system functions in Sollentuna? How do the Municipal Council and County Council personnel respectively describe their own and their cooperative sister services rolls in terms of the implementation of the GIVP system in practice? The projection activates a hypothesis and tries to explain how the cooperation functions and provides an assessment as to how it functions or not as may be the case in practise. The authors attempt to achieve this using a combination of methodologies.

Montagu´s harrier (Circus pygargus) is a diurnal, Eurasian raptor, which migrates from its northern breeding grounds to winter in sub-Saharan Africa. In Sweden, its core breeding area is centred on the island of Öland, with a stable breeding population of approximately 40 pairs. The province of Uppland is on the northern end the distribution range, where 4-8 pairs have regularly bred since the 1980s. In Sweden, the Montagu?s harrier is classified as an endangered (EN) species. This classification is partly due to a lack of preferred nesting habitat, such as shrub-lands or dense wetlands with Claudium spp.

Through previous studies during my education, I have experienced that chemical deicing road salt is a known problem, mainly in southern Sweden. Road salt causes damage to the environment and also damage to vehicles and structures such as bridges, etc. Road salt causes vehicles and steel constructions to rust, leading to increased costs for repairs of damage to structures. Road salt also causes damage to the plants and the economy to suffer, when plant material and soil needs to be replaced. In order to get closer to a solution, I put up three questions.

Behavioral finance uppkom som ett försök att förklara varför de traditionella synsätten inte alltid tycks förklara marknadsaktörers beteende och ifrågasätter synsättet om att marknadens aktörer agerar rationellt. Vår studie bidrar med en jämförelse mellan privatpersoner och fondförvaltare i deras rationalitet. Detta är intressant eftersom många privatpersoner väljer att spara i fonder och ställer därmed sina besparingar till fondförvaltarnas förfogande. Syfte: Att undersöka huruvida det finns skillnader mellan privata aktiesparare och fondförvaltare i deras rationalitet vid beslutsfattande.

Denna rapport har som syfte att samla erfarenhet kring de möjligheter och den potential som finns i den EEG-teknik och de BCI-headset från NeuroSky som använts. Detta görs genom design och utveckling av ett spel som utnyttjar tekniken. Det finns redan idag ett mindre urval av sådana spel, men dessa har samtliga varit av mycket trivial karaktär och med en bristande förmåga att övertyga och engagera.Samtidigt som EEG-teknik når ut till konsumenter, ökar också allmänintresset för mental träning. Studier och rapporter visar indikationer på att sådan träning inte bara förbättrar hjärnans effektivitet, utan också kan förebygga vissa neurologiska sjukdomar som Alzheimers och demens. Forskningsrapporter pekar också på att spel med fördel kan användas för mental träning, vilket är en motivering till relevansen i att detta examensarbete representeras i form av ett spel.Hårdvaran som använts har färdiga algoritmer för avläsning av användarens koncentrations-, meditations- och blinkstyrkenivåer.

Marknadens reaktion när ett företag informerar och annonserar om en eventuell nyemission sägs vara oförutsägbar. Enligt tidigare forskning pressas aktiekursen i de flesta fallen nedåt vid en nyemission. Under det senaste året har en del nyemissioner utförts i synnerhet på grund av den globala lågkonjunkturen då många företag haft för lite kapitalbas. Vad gäller företag på Stockholmsbörsen som valt att nyemittera aktier har även här de flesta fått se sin aktiekurs rasa.Författarna till denna uppsats avser att studera hur marknaden reagerar på ett offentligt tillkännagivande av en kommande nyemission. Det undersöks även om det förefaller någon skillnad mellan tillkännagivanden av nyemissioner genomförda innan eller under lågkonjunkturen och skillnader branscher emellan.Då vi ville se hur denna händelse påverkar ett företags aktiekurser valde vi att göra en eventstudie.

When beef calves are weaned abruptly at 5 to 6 months of age this triggers a strong stress reaction, since the animals have not yet untied the bonds to their mothers or stopped suckling. This is displayed as extensive vocalization and restlessness. Attempts to diminish the negative effects of weaning on sucking calves have been showing varying results. The study presented here emanates from the observation that when calves are weaned without human interference they are only prevented from suckling, but are still allowed to have social contacts with their mothers. The hypothesis was that calves weaned in two steps would be calmer, gain more weight, and be healthier than animals that were abruptly weaned. To investigate this, 15 calves where weaned in two stages (Group 2), by fitting the calves with nose tags that prevented them from suckling during 5 days prior to the separation of the cows and calves.

One of many difficult issues in veterinary medicine is the assessment of an animal's experience of pain. As a licensed veterinary nurse in Sweden you are obligated by law to work by the concept of evidence based medicine. To achieve this the author of this study sees the need for standardized methods of pain assessment. A Swedish version of Short form of the Glasgow Composite Measure Pain Scale (CMPS-SF) has recently been translated and developed. Furthermore, a psychometric validation needs to be performed to ensure its validity and reliability.

Cooling down the indoor air can be done in several ways. One way is desiccantcooling which will be used at the Stockholm Arena. This method is used in airhandling units that use temperature changes and moisture fluctuations in the air. Oneof the steps is to add heat during the cooling process in order to reduce the relativehumidity of the exhaust air. The air passes thru an adsorptions rotor which thenabsorbs moisture from the supply air.
