Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur pedagoger anser att de arbetar med IKT, information- och kommunikations teknik, i förskolan. Syftet var även att undersöka om pedagogerna på något sätt skulle vilja utveckla arbetet med IKT. I denna studie riktas intresset in på surfplattor. Metoden som använts för att få svar på undersökningens frågeställningar är kvalitativa intervjuer, intervjuerna har genomförts med åtta pedagoger från två förskolor. I resultatet av studien blir det synligt att pedagogerna arbetar på olika sätt och att de har olika visioner om hur de vill utveckla arbetet med dessa surfplattor. Resultatet visar att alla medverkande pedagoger i studien använder surfplattan som ett verktyg för att utveckla barnens språk, det ser däremot olika ut bland pedagogerna hur den används till exempel för dokumentation och spel med mera.

Our society has become increasingly digitized, and all around us information flows constantly. Knowledge about valuing different sources of information, and not least the information itself, are becoming increasingly important. Media and information have come to play a big role in our society, and knowledge of media and information literacy becomes important to learn in school. High school students are at the beginning of their adult lives as educated citizens.In this study, we measured high school students experience of media and information literacy, during their three years in high school. Students answered a questionnaire, with questions based upon theoretical concepts in media and information literacy.

Teknikens roll i samhället ökar och större delen av befolkningen behöver hantera olika föremål och tjänster, vilket kan medföra svårigheter vid användning. Syftet med studien var att beskriva relevans och svårigheter i användning av vardagsteknik i dagliga aktiviteter hos personer i åldrarna 45-64 år. Studien designades med kvantitativ ansats. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 40 personer från landsbygd och storstad. Datainsamling genomfördes med det standardiserade bedömningsinstrumentet Everyday Use Technology Questionnaire (ETUQ II), bearbetades i dataprogram och redovisades med deskriptiv statistik.

Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important part of society. Learning occurs in all contexts and many students already use various digital media in their leisure time. This article, based on a case study in a One-to-One school. It describes how teachers perceive that their teaching is influenced when their pupils get a laptop. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the focus on one-to-one influence teachers' work in the classroom.

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis is to examine university librarians? perceptions of information literacy, of students? information literacy and of education in information literacy. The focus is on how they perceive the students? information literacy development during their university studies. Also of interest in this study is how librarians think that their teaching in information literacy should be included in the students? other courses. Three librarians at a Swedish university library were interviewed using qualitative interviews.

Att leva med en kronisk sjukdom som hjärtsvikt innebär en ständig oro och ibland ångest. Information och undervisning om den förändrade livssituationen som sjukdomen medfört kan bidra till ökade möjligheter att uppleva hälsa i samband med denna kroniska sjukdom. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa människors upplevelse av information och undervisning i samband med hjärtsvikt. Resultaten baserades på 19 artiklar som sökts via databaserna Cinahl, SweMed+, Medline, Psyc Info men även manuell sökning i tidsskrifter vilka analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Fyra kategorier framkom i resultatet: att känna brist på och inte förstå information, att få individuellt anpassad information, att information ökar livskvalitén och att behov av information och undervisning är större efter utskrivning.

This study is on how small companies can use the Internet as a part of their marketing strategy to gain a leverage on their competitors with small means to survive and expand in the global market. Many Swedish small companies still don?t have a sufficient knowledge on how to use the communication channel despite the various advantages the Internet offers.Case studies were conducted of how AdLibris, A-lotterierna AB and SF-bokhandeln perceived the importance of using the Internet as a part of their communications strategy.This new communication channel demand new ways of applying traditional marketing principals. Careful analysis of the interviews and how the answers relate to new and old marketing theories makes the bulk of this study. The conclusion is that the Internet solely is not enough, a combination with traditional marketing tools is the way to succeed in their marketing efforts.

The Telecom industry is facing a paradigm shift, where the industry is converging with Internet technologies and the market is becoming more sophisticated. This results in more demanding customers, and the need for offering more content and services with a focus on usability for the end-users. The operators are starting to loose both their strong position and revenue in the Telecom industry, due to new technology and the fact that other actors are starting to enter the market, offering new content and services. In the end, the operators have two choices, to become bit-pipe providers, and only focusing on network management, or keeping the control over their networks. The latter would mean that they block other actors who are taking parts of their revenue, e.g.

Recent developments suggest that private and public companies are moving towards a more service-oriented business. Service orientation means that hardware is often sold in packages with service agreements, which makes the investment more difficult to assess. The challenges that arise will be to assess the value of the overall package, the information needed to make informed decisions and the operational requirements in combination of hardware, software, support agreements, training and more. The paper therefore aims to examine how decision makers can evaluate the benefits of these investments and obtain a stronger base to make better decisions. There is within the area of radiology in the region of Västra Götaland a pronounced need for a better flow of information regarding medical equipment and related service agreements.

Sweden is dependent on secure sea transport. Shorter disruption of imports of fuel and crude oil can be managed with an emergency stock, but a prolonged halt in imports creates problems. For industry, the vulnerability is greater. Fragmented production chains in combination with expenditure reductions in inventory causes a dependency on proper transport of intermediate goods in the manufacturing industry. A lengthy disruption thus involves disruption of production for both domestic consumption and for export goods containing imported parts.In order to secure shipping routes with a limited number of vessels, Mine Counter Measures (MCM) capacity is required, and according to the Armed Forces, developed with new sensors and autonomous vehicles.

Citizenship information is defined as the information the citizen needs to be able to take part in and influence the society. Since it is a democratic issue that information concerning the citizens role in society really reaches the citizens, it is of importance to study how the citizens proceed when they have a need for this information. The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate how our eight informers proceed when they experience this need in a non-work situation. We performed qualitative interviews. The most important part of our interviews was the introduction of some fictitious problems to the informants.

The technical evolution has a great influence on the public libraries. Electronic media becomes more and more common. This Master´s thesis is based upon the Swedish Library law 9§ (SFS 1996:1596) which says: Public- and school libraries should pay special attention to children and teenagers by offering books, Information Technology and other media, adapted to their needs, to encourage development of language and stimulate reading. From this point of view we have examined why the children´s departments in public libraries offer CD-ROM games which are based upon characters from the literature, how they are used in the daily activity and how they can contribute to the development of the children´s department.We have made literary studies and empirical investigations including interviews, observation studies etc. The results from this studies shows that both young and adults appreciate the CD-ROM games.

Data retrieved from airborne laser scanning represents a new source of forest data. Today, the technology has matured so that it can function in an operational environment. The aim of this study was to compile areas of application of laserdata in forestry. Moreover to analyze costs and accessibility of laserdata. The goal was to provide private forest owners information to support assessments of possible benefits of laserdata.

During Spring semester 2011, Linda Engstrom and Malin Heder performed ?Golden Ratio?, a thesis which included 22.5 hp.
