The purpose of thesis was to investigate and compare how two companies within pharmaceutical industry and nuclear power industry are currently working with quality development regarding continuous improvement and Lessons Learned in business processes. In addition, a simple comparison was made with the automotiveindustry.McNeil AB are improving their processes continuously and are according to the findings of this report performing well in their pursuit of world-class pharmaceutical production. They have a well functioning process regarding improvements proposed in weekly improvement meetings engaging all employees. However, during interviews it was made clear that the functionality of the process which administer improvement proposals generated in addition to, or beside the weekly improvement meetings, were inadequate. McNeil AB is proposed to administer this through an IT solution instead of by paper and e-mail, that simplifies the process of adding, implementing and follow up an improvement proposal.The nuclear power plant Ringhals AB recently made major improvements in their business processes as well as the plant itself.

The aim of this study is to enlighten how todays working environment affects young individuals descriptions of how to reach success in work life, now often titled as ?career?. Our purpose has been to analyse how the term career is constituted discursively among young people in jobs characterized by flexibility. The study is based on six qualitative interviews with young adults in the media industry, all between 20-30 years old. By utilising a Foucaultdian discourse analysis we want to expose how the competing and dominating discourses, that our interviewees? statements are based on, can be associated with a wider social context.  The study reveals that our interviewees describe career in two separate ways, both positively and negatively.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka upplevelser av ledarskapsbeteenden inom judo. För att besvara syftet intervjuades fyra judoaktiva i åldrarna 16-19 år (m=17.8, sd=1.5 ) och fem judotränare som var mellan 39-66 år gamla (m= 47.0, sd= 10.9). Det skapades två semistrukturerade intervjuguider baserat på den multidimensionella ledarskapsmodellen och LSS. Frågorna som ställdes var utifrån tre olika situationer; vardaglig träning, träningsläger respektive tävling. Resultatet som framkom var att ledarskapsbeteende föredrogs samt upplevdes olikt beroende på individerna och situationen.

In June 2006 the Council of the European Union agreed on the review of the EU sustainable development strategy. This renewed strategy voices a commitment to sustainable development that includes a diverse list of safeguarded interests. Sustainability is to be attained in the spheres of democracy, solidarity, the rule of law, gender equality and at the same time it should promote a dynamic economy. Given this multifunctional application of sustainable development, curiosity may soon give rise to questions such as; What is the legal significance of the concept? Is it to be considered a general principle of Community law? And can it be used as an instrument in adjudication and legal reasoning? Anyone who looks deeper into the concept of sustainable development is soon to find a labyrinthine complex of ideas, expressions and opinions.

The purpose behind our study was to analyze people who were born in the 1940s' reflections on life after the age of 60, as well as examining which strategies they had before retirement. The study built on the themes; leisure pursuit and social networks,retirement, life after the age of 60, the future care and the care needs and its mediums. These themes have also provided the base for our interview guide. In order to answer our aims and issues we chose to use a qualitative method. We have interviewed eight people born in the 1940s in order to provide a varied picture of their reflections and strategies for the future.

For centuries inbreeding has been used to refine traits in dogs, making desired traits more hereditary and thereby, different breeds have been invented. Breed standards have been written for each of these breeds, describing in detail the different characteristics of each breed. When humans start to choose which animal to breed from, so called artificial selection, taste is put before function and the laws of nature, the natural selection, cease to apply. During this development, pedigree dogs have gone towards more and more extreme exterior characteristics and the dogs may have inherited various, more or less, severe problems for example compromised vision, impaired ability to move and difficulties to breathe. However they can still survive and reproduce because humans provide them with the conditions to do so.

Studien ämnar även undersöka hur elever uppfattar att de påverkas av lärargiven feedback samt undersöka om de olika formerna av feedback tas emot olika beroende på om eleven är kille eller tjej.Vilka intentioner har lärare med sin verbala feedback till elever?Vilka känslor uppkommer hos elever vid olika typer av lärargiven feedback?Hur påverkas elevers engagemang vid olika typer av lärargiven feedback?Tas den lärargivna feedbacken emot olika beroende på om eleven är tjej eller kille?MetodI studien anva?nds två metoder. Intervju används för att besvara den fo?rsta fra?gesta?llningen medan enka?t anva?nds fo?r att besvara den andra, tredje och fja?rde fra?gesta?llningen.

Abstract.In Sweden today, a collaboration was formed between the Swedish Sport Confederation andthe Swedish upper secondary school education. While this process was taking place, theSwedish Sport Confederation also tried to collaborate with the Swedish Academy. However,at the time the Academy did not have any involvement with the former.The purpose of the study was to research when and how the Swedish Sport Confederationcreated a collaboration with the Swedish Education Systems both on a National and Locallevel. I have also done a research on both the Knowledge Society and Elite sport talents tofind out if Elite sport will be affected in any way because of the existence of Knowledge Society,and also the reactions of the sports talents if any. My final pursuit was also to find out ifthe Knowledge Society can bring about a quick change to this silent conflict between theSwedish Sport Confederation and the Swedish Academy.For my study, I have used two different theories.

Do new, attractive neighborhoods meet the requirements of being socially sustainable? This essay is based on the potential conflicts between the pursuit of social sustainability, while the theory of the creative class influence city planning. Social sustainability is difficult to measure, but implies broadly that everyone should have equal rights and opportunities. A city or region that aims to attract a certain type of people by providing what they ask for, might pay less attention and spend less resources on the rest of the population. Socially sustainable - for whom? The new district Hyllie in southern Malmö stands in focus, and the paper seeks to identify how different operators in Malmö defines the concept of social sustainability, how it is implemented in the design of Hyllie, and if any potential conflicts may arise.Interviews with the following informants; representants from the Office for City Planning in Malmö, the nonprofit organization Sustainable Development Skåne, the Commission for a Socially Sustainable Malmö and the company Skanska Öresund have constituted the main methodology, among with reading and analyzing existing documents and policies relating to the development of Hyllie.

This paper deals with the late Viking age/early medieval grave field in Björned, Torsåker parish, Ångermanland County in northern Sweden. The grave field in Björned is rare because it has all the signs of being Christianized before the surroundings. This awakes questions such as if the people of Björned came from another place and brought the religion with them or if someone else did that for them. To find these answers I have analysed the stable isotope ratios [delta]13C, [delta]15N and [delta]34S in human bone collagen. Through these stable isotopes we can not only see what the people consumed but also where their food had its origin.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om och på vilket sätt lä-rare/speciallärare/specialpedagoger i skolår 4-6 använder sig av resultaten från de nationella proven i matematik i årskurs tre i sin undervisning. Studiens syfte var också att ta reda på hur stödet är organiserat för de elever som inte uppnådde godkänt resultat på proven samt hur pedagogerna önskar att stödet ska se ut.1. På vilket sätt tar lärarna/speciallärarna/specialpedagogerna del av resultaten från de nationella proven i matematik och vad får de reda på eller vad tar de reda på?2. Hur ser stödet ut för de elever som inte nådde upp till kravnivån på nationella proven i matematik?3. Hur vill lärarna/speciallärarna/specialpedagogerna att stödet ska se ut?Teori: Studien utgår från det sociokulturella perspektivet där lärandet ses som en språklig och social företeelse. Vi lär av erfarenheter från oss själva och andra. Genom språket kan vi dela varandras erfarenheter.

Som bakgrund har jag anva?nt mig av litteratur som bero?r ergonomi ba?de i rollen som musik- och instrumentla?rare men a?ven andra jobb som inte a?r kopplade till musik. Som metod i studien valde jag att anva?nda en kvantitativ forskningsmetod.

Ekologiska livsmedel a?r idag ett allt mer debatterat a?mne da?r majoriteten av den svenska befolkningen a?r positivt insta?llda till ekologiska livsmedel. Trots konsumenternas positiva insta?llning och den o?kade marknadskommunikationen som de stora livsmedelsbutikerna bedriver idag a?r fo?rsa?ljningen av ekologiska livsmedel i Sverige fortfarande la?g, endast 5,6 % av den totala livsmedelsfo?rsa?ljningen. Fo?r att o?ka den ekologiska fo?rsa?ljningen a?r det av stor vikt att bemo?ta konsumenten med en anpassad marknadskommunikation.

This paper set out to investigate how teachers of Swedish in Sweden implement the grammar objectives of the curriculum in their teaching, through interviewing six teachers. It has been important to compare their methods to modern research of grammar teaching and teaching in general. They have been asked a series of questions to answer whether or not they use grammar terminology as mediating tools, if they intergrate dialogue among students in grammar teaching and to what extent the teachers? knowledge of and attitude towards grammar influence their teaching methods. The results show that grammar is used as mediating tools primarily when it comes to feedback on pupils? texts, though not to a great extent; dialogue between pupils is rare when it comes to grammar teaching; and the teachers? grammar knowledge and attitude affect the teaching methods, primarily in the sense that seeing value in grammar knowledge increases the teacher?s desire to develop new methods for grammar teaching..
