Arenastaden ? En jämförande studie om attraktiva områden för kontor

This thesis has been conducted at Volvo Bussar ABunder a period of ten weeks. Within the organizationVolvo, the work is conducted with leaders and teamson every level; from production to top management.They have three tasks, besides executing their dailywork, they are expected to actively work on improvingtheir individual work as well as themselves as persons.The two latter are future value adding activities for theorganization. When doing so, however, it has beennoticed that they often lose the grasp of their dailywork. The question that consequently arises is whythis happens. Is it because of lack of time or it isbecause the co-workers do not have the competenceand simply do not know how they are to execute thethree tasks? Or, is it because the motivation to executethe three tasks is not enough? With this in regard, thestatement of issues for this bachelor thesis were thefollowing: how can the conditions for leaders and theteam be improved, in order for them to execute thesethree tasks.To find out why the execution of these threeassigments did not always succeed, the decision wastaken to conduct a survey and interview study in reallife and at the plants.

New City. En inbjudan till innanförskap. En studie av ett ungdomsprojekt.

Vi har i vårt arbete undersökt ett ideellt projekt, New City i Malmö - ett utvecklingspartnerskap som arbetar för att underlätta för ungdomars etablering på arbetsmarknaden. Grunden till dess tillkomst ligger i en statlig utredning, som belyser en kategori unga utanför med svårigheter att få sina behov tillgodosedda i myndighetskontakter och genom ordinarie arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärder. Förslag ges i utredningen till en försöksverksamhet med s.k. navigatorcentra, som New City, som söker upp ungdomarna och ger dem stöd utifrån ett helhetsperspektiv på deras situationer. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka vilka metoder som används inom projektet, jämfört med i kommunala arbetsmarknadsåtgärder för ungdomar.

The level of increased central government that we have experienced during the last decades in school, for the purpose of increasing equality and to adapt the Swedish school to a certain international standard, clearly shows that increased control scarcely leads to improvement.The aim of this paper is to examine whether teachers believe that national tests contribute to equivalent assessment and increased goal attainment. Furthermore the teachers? attitude towards and work with national tests is described. The paper is written from a school improvement perspective, where good examples from current research on what creates increased quality in school meaning increased goal attainment and equivalent assessment are related to research on school effectiveness and increased testing in schools. The study builds upon a quantitative survey among teachers in upper primary - and secondary school in a medium-sized municipality in Sweden.The result shows that the teachers have a somewhat more positive than negative attitude towards national tests, as a whole.

Musikterapi för patienter med schizofreni och annan psykossjukdom

The aim of the study was to illustrate how music therapy can be used in the care of patients with schizophrenia and other psychotic illness.The method used was a literature review. Scientific articles were searched in PubMed, Cinahl, PsycINFO och Scopus databases with an outcome of ten articles, with in total 330 participants, that underwent quality and outcomes analysis.The results showed that music therapy could provide potential improvement in the patients' social functions and that it could also improve negative, some positive and general schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms in some patients. The form of music therapy used was often creative music activities with music therapist, with or without structure, or individually customized. The length of treatment varied widely. It was not possible to draw conclusions about which type of music therapy was best.

Hinder och möjligheter med jobbcoachning : utifrån jobbcoachers och arbetssökandes syn på insatsen

Abstract This qualitative interview study focuses on job coaching by examining what thoughts, views and opinions the involved parties, such as job applicants and job coaches, have of the contribution. The aim is to highlight the obstacles and opportunities by examining the expectations that exist from both parties as well as how to look at job coaching and its different areas. In this context, examine the similarities and differences between the two parties approach to the contribution. This is made possible through four interviews with job applicants as well as four interviews with job coaches. A grounded theory inspired approach was used to obtain the results of the study.

Implementering av TPU : En fallstudie om implementeringen av TPU på ABB Cewe-Control i Nyköping

If Swedish companies are to compete with companies in low-cost countries they have to achieve a more efficient production. The purpose of Total Productivity Maintenance (TPM) is to increase the company's profitability by increasing the productivity. TPM is a method that involves all employees and aims to prevent failures in order to increase the availability of existing equipment.The aim of this paper is to evaluate the implementation process of TPM and give recommendations for the further implementation process. The conclusion and the analysis are based on a case study done at a production department at ABB Cewe-Controls facilities in Nyköping. The case study consists mainly of qualitative data from participation observations, surveys and interviews.Commitment of the management is a key factor in the implementation process of TPM.

Förståelsen för OK>1

In 2005, Outokumpu began to implement its system of continuous improvement, OK> 1, at Avesta Jernverk. OK> 1 has not generated sufficient results on plant KPI:s. The purpose of this study is to identify the understanding,  participation and commitment regarding to OK> 1, and to suggest some actions to make OK> 1 more successful with emphasis on these three aspects. The thesis shall also determine whether there are any differences in the attitude towards OK>1 between Blue Collars and White Collars.The study consisted of a survey, and interviews. The output from these methods were processed and analyzed and finally resulted in a SWOT ? analysis and suggested actions for improving the understanding, participation and commitment towards OK>1.

Byggmästarna : En flerfallstudie av två fotbollstränares målstyrning utifrån ett retoriskt perspektiv

Bakgrund: ?Målstyrning tydliggör ställda krav, medger en riktig och effektiv resursanvändning, ger ett bättre verksamhetsresultat, ger alla anställda möjlighet att påverka sitt eget arbete, ger större ansvar åt den enskilde, skapar utrymme för anställdas kreativitet, initiativförmåga och delaktighet, höjer trivseln och förbättrar arbetsmiljön? (Svensson, 1993:21). Att döma av Svenssons ord framstår målstyrning som lösningen på företagsvärldens alla problem. Fairhurst (1996:11) som skriver om nyretorikens framing (inramning), drar i sin forskning slutsatsen att retorisk medvetenhet ökar sannolikheten för att nå mål. Men hur går det till i praktiken?Syfte: Vi vill med denna studie öka förståelsen för ledares styrning mot uppställda mål utifrån ett retoriskt perspektiv.

Problemidentifiering och utveckling av plocklagerverksamhet

Ellos was founded in 1947 by Olle Blomqvist and quickly grew into one of the leading mailorder businesses in Sweden. Ellos Group is in the current situation Scandinavia?s largest ecommercecompany and since 1997 owned by the French holding company Keering. Thismeant that Ellos became a part of Redcats Nordic along with brands such as La Redoute,Verbaudet , Daxon and others.2010 started a project with the aim to develop a logistic model for these products. The resultwas the department Redmap on Ellos that would serve as both a hub and distribution channelfor Northern Europe.

Utveckling av Materialförsörjning : En studie av Sandvik Coromants försörjning av stål

This report is a master thesis performed by Adam Lundin at the company Sandvik Coromants production facility in Gimo. The work started in January 2013 and went on for the duration of 20 weeks, which is equivalent to 30 hp. The project was executed at the department GVR10. The scope of the project was to create a base for improvements in the purchasing process of direct material to the production. The background to the project was that the centralized purchasing department has gone through changes and decision was taken to decentralize the purchasing of direct material to Gimo.

Lagsammanhållning, roller och spelaromsättning i ishockey

Syftet med studien var att skapa en bättre förståelse för hur några juniorishockeyspelare och deras tränare ser på hur faktorerna lagsammanhållning, spelaromsättning, roller och prestation förhåller sig till varandra och hur de arbetade med dessa faktorer. Instrumenten som användes var GEQ (Group Environment Questionnaire) och två helstrukturerade intervjuguider. Deltagarna i studien var ishockeyspelarna i ett J18-lag (n=18) och deras tränare (n=1) i en medelstor klubb i Sverige. Resultatet visade att samtliga intervjudeltagare upplevde ett positivt samband mellan lagsammanhållning, spelaromsättning, rollklarhet och prestation. Sambandet beskrevs dock som cirkulärt, att alla faktorerna var beroende av varandra och påverkades av varandra.

Lean production ? I en traditionellt styrd organisation

Lean production härstammar från företaget Toyota och Taiichi Ohno?s begrepp ToyotaProduction System. Metoden är idag ett dominerande styrmedel bland organisationer. Därmedhar konceptet implementerats i allt fler västerländska resultatstyrda organisationer, varsparametrar för kontroll skiljer sig mot de lean production utgår från. Dess innebörd sträckersig över stora delar av en organisation, vilket bidrar till begreppets komplexitet.

Utvärdering av Svenska Friidrottsförbundets Coachprojekt i samarbete med Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté inför OS i Aten 2004

Syfte och frågeställningarEn utvärdering efter OS i Sydney 2000 visade att coacherna inte klarade pressen. Därför ville SOK genom sitt stöd utveckla coacherna för att de aktiva i slutänden skulle kunna prestera bättre. Svenska Friidrottsförbundet (SFIF) och Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté (SOK), finansierade ett projekt, Coachprojektet, med syfte att svenska friidrottare skulle ta medaljer vid OS i Aten 2004. Denna studie avser att utvärdera upplevelsen hos de coacher som ingick i Coachprojektet. Frågeställningar som kommer att söka besvaras är: Uppfylldes Coachprojektets mål? Har Coachprojektet påverkat coachförmågan? Behöver coacher utbildning liknande den i Coachprojektet för att bli bättre coacher? Vad gav projektet för effekter/konsekvenser?MetodStudien är kvalitativ till sin karaktär i intervjudelen och kvantitativ i enkätdelen.

Hur bra är kulturskolans lokaler? : En undersökning om vad musik- och kulturskolans lärare anser om sina undervisningslokaler

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how teachers in the municipal Music schools Schools of arts (kulturskolor) estimate the quality of their teaching rooms, which factors that are significant for their opinion, and if they have experienced any tendencies of improvement in the quality of their teaching rooms. The examination is built on a questionnaire, which was sent to a number of music- and ?culture schools? in Sweden. From the answers you can read that the majority (66%) of the teachers are satisfied with their teaching rooms, even if a relatively large part (33%) seems to be unsatisfied. The single factor that are of most importance for their opinion are how much of their teaching they spend in rooms that doesn?t belong to the music- or ?culture school? and also are used for other kinds of education.

Effektivisering av kundorderflöde : En fallstudie på BUFAB Bulten Stainless AB

We were commissioned by Bulten Stainless AB to identify and analyze their customer order flow. Because the company had problems with delays in the production and deliveries to the customer, the task also included investigation of how the company work with prevention and management of delays. The purpose of the project also included to identify critical factors for effective order flow in smaller workshop companies.The information about the flow and how the work takes place within the company were collected through observations on the company and interviews with the staff. This information was used to draw maps over the customer order flow and to write a description of the current situation within the company. Both strengths and weaknesses of the companies work could be identified through analysis of the present situation.
