The purpose of this paper is to examine the narrative in You are a bad man, mr Gum! to be able to understand and explain the intermedial aspects of the work. I assume an intermedial, narratological and reception theory perspective in my analysis. The method of close reading is used combined with a reader-oriented perspective. I examine the medial aspects of the chosen work through the pictures, the text, and the iconicity of the typographical pattern of the text. To reach my goal, the following questions are dealt with: What is the character of the narration? How do the various media interact in the production of meaning? What is the relationship between the text and the implicit reader? What is the narratological difference between reading the book aloud and silently? The theoretical framework f the paper consists of narratological and intermedial theories.

The aim of this thesis is to examine representations of masculinity in the activities of a local professional wrestling promotion. After briefly outlining what professional wrestling is, the study draws on a body on feminist and intersectional theory which critiques the notion of gender as a binary and essential category. The material comprises 10 recorded shows and oth- er material published on Sthlm Wrestling?s website between 2010 and 2013, and is analyzed using a qualitative methodology derived from cultural studies. The thesis argues that there are many different types of masculinities in the narrative, which are constructed in relation to different power hierarchies such as ethnicity, class, sex and sexuality.

The magazine?s own explicit purpose is to break down the unhealthy opinion of what beauty is in their industry today. By content and linguistic analysis the results of this study are interconnected to the beauty myth as it was established by Naomi Wolf in 1991. The goal is to pinpoint how VeckoRevyn?s question and answer columns construct relationships to their readers, and the mythologies that they maintain.

Syftet med den hÀr studien var att undersöka hur fritidspedagoger uppfattar den aktuella situationen rörande samverkan och ansvar inom sÄvÀl grundskolan som fritidshemmet. Tanken med studien var Àven att belysa deras Äsikter och medvetenhet kring fritidshemmets integrering i skolan och det nya kravet pÄ lÀrarlegitimation. Studien har utgÄtt frÄn en kvalitativ metod och med kvalitativ intervju som verktyg. I resultatet visar respondenterna en generellt god insikt kring ansvar och samverkan. Samtliga upplever en god samverkan lokalt men tror att situationen ser annorlunda ut nationellt.

The secularization theses has over the last decade been a central issue within the sociology of religion. The two classic theses has been criticized for being one-sided and only focus on the change from traditional to modern society. The intention of this study is to evaluate this critique and to discuss what is defendable in the early secularization thesis in our contemporary world.This essay?s primary purpose is to compare the secularization theses Weber?s The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism and Durkheim?s The Elementary Forms of Religious Life. I use two analytical models, posing three levels and three categories of secularization, in order to make the comparison explicit.

Kursplanernas förvÀntade studieresultat förefaller dock ganska oviktiga för studenterna.

The recent financial crisis has entailed in a fierce debate whether CEOs variable remuneration has caused unsound risk exposure in public companies. Hence it is considered as interesting to elucidate if this connection exists empirically. With grounding in principal-agent theory, and its implicit assumption of risk adverse agents, this study aims to find empirical evidence for a positively correlated relationship between CEOs variable remuneration and company risk exposure. Through a regression analysis of multidimensional data from 102 listed Swedish companies during the period of 2000-2009, we show that the relationship between CEOs variable remuneration and company risk, in contrast to our expectations, is significantly negative. The coherent result is interpreted as the inherent risk in companies seems to explain the usage of variable remuneration for CEO, rather than vice versa.

VÄrt mÄl med detta examensarbete Àr dÀrför att undersöka vilka typer av muntlig feedback som kan hittas i ett klassrum dÀr man lÀr sig engelska som frÀmmande sprÄk och vilka attityder som bÄde lÀrare och studenter kan ha gentemot muntlig feedback. Tre typer av undersökningsmetoder har anvÀnts: observationer, intervjuer och enkÀter. Resultatet visar pÄ att studenter förhÄller sig positivt till muntlig feedback i klassrummet, sÀrskilt explicit corrective feedback.
