This thesis provides a good introduction to the American environmental certification system LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and trough compar-isons between Sweden and the United States an explanation to the systems design is given. The work is closely linked to a LEED Core & Shell project in Stockholm, Swe-den, where the goal is to reach the second highest rating in LEED - Gold.This thesis gives a broad description of the LEED system and a more profound study of the energy sector, Energy and Atmosphere. Here, for example, an analysis has been made of how the energy consumption of an imaginary building designed according to the requirements of the BBR (Swedish building code) performs in comparison to the Baseline building in LEED.The existing model of Borgarfjord 3, which served as a case study in this work, has al-so been modified to investigate the energy savings that could have been achieved by adding extra insulation to the building. A description of the problems, regarding how the Swedish district heating system (DES) is treated in LEED, is given as well as the suggested modifications. This is an issue that will be pursued during the process of shaping a new, international, version of LEED due to be launched 2012..

Resultatet visar ett signifikant sambandmellan ledarens kommunikationsförmåga och medarbetares prestationsförmåga.Ifrågasätta predicerar medarbetarnas prestation i störstutsträckning i fem av sex länder.

Examensarbetets syfte är att undersöka påståendet om att homosexuella mäns identitet inte bör representeras i tragedi, på grund av genrens maskulina ideal. Istället bör representationen ske i melodram då genren relaterar till feminina värden. Textanalysen av två teaterpjäser, tragedin The River and the Mountain (Uganda, 2012) och melodramen The Boys in the Band (USA, 1968), visar att tragedin står för en essentialistisk (biologisk) syn på sexuell identitet medan melodramen står för en konstruktivistisk (kulturell och social). Kunskap om homosexuell kultur kan inte ses som en nödvändighet för en homosexuell identitet. Tragedi bör därför inte avfärdas som en politiskt svag genre att representera homosexuella män i.

BakgrundBröstcancer är den vanligaste orsaken till dödlighet i cancer hos kvinnor. Framsteg inom diagnostik- och behandlingsmetoder har resulterat i bättre överlevnad varför allt fler lever med följderna av sin cancerbehandling. Standardbehandling vid bröstcancer är i första hand kirurgi och genomförs vanligtvis i kombination med adjuvant behandling. Bröstcancerbehandling kan resultera i stora förändringar av en persons kroppsbild. Kroppsbild innebär en uppfattning och upplevelse av den egna kroppen samt sätt att uppfatta och hantera den fysiska och sociala verkligheten.

The purpose of this paper is to give a view of how violence and victims has been portrayed in novels. I have chosen 6 books where the main character is a child who has been exposed to physical, mental and/or sexual violence. I have asked questions to the book and I have tried to find patterns in the child's strategy to cope with violence and how the violence is described. I have also written two chapters about earlier studies of this field and theoretical standpoints. The main perspective I present is the salutogenese perspective and how people create meaningfulness in their lives.The children in the books have different ways to handle their situations.

This study investigates a Swedish educational project aimed to incorporate young people with intellectual disabilities into the labor market through internship. This qualitative interview study was conducted with six of the project student?s internship supervisors. The purpose of this study is thus to examine the motives behind the decision to take on a trainee from the program at the workplace. In addition, the study also aims to examine whether and how dif-ferent factors of the workplace affect the trainee?s opportunities for social inclusion in the workplace.

The workplace has a direct impact on the physical, psychological, economic and social well-being of the workers. A healthy workplace leads to increased health among the employees which also makes the employees more productive (Källestål, 2004). A poor working environment can have negative consequences for individuals, companies and society (SOU, 2009:47).This is a qualitative study that investigates companies? view of health promotion and how they practice health promotion in working life. Five private and five public companies, with representatives from the management were interviewed.

I det offentliga stadsrummet finns en stor mängd reklam som visar avkläda kvinnokroppar och som ofta anspelar på sexualitet. Detta kallas för det offentliga rummets sexualisering och är en fråga som skär mellan områdena politik, juridik och näringsliv och frågan har debatterats under flera årtionden. Denna uppsats ämnar undersöka hur individer upplever och förhåller sig till reklamens framställning av kroppen, hur stadsrummet upplevs som en följd av reklamen och på vilket sätt det sexualiserade offentliga rummet förstås ur ett maktperspektiv. För att studera detta har metoderna livsvärldsintervju, promenadintervju och fotoelicitering kombinerats. Av undersökningens resultat framkom det att reklamen uppfattas framställa en synnerligen homogen kropp ? något som studiens respondenter upplevde som negativt då de ständigt behövde förhålla sig till detta ideal.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse an elderly care team?s prerequisite to anchor a salutogenic perspective and approach in an elderly care team in Kalmar municipality. The study identifies factors that could impede or promote the anchoring and examine how the organisation aims to work in a single direction even if the multidisciplinary team processes a diversity of knowledge, education and abilities. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews from representatives of all professions in the multidisciplinary team; social workers, paramedical professions, nurses and care-givers. The theoretical frame consisted of a translating perspective, leadership and ideas of interaction and power.

When discussing local development attention is often given to the problems involved. Factors like decreasing population and inadequate infrastructure are two examples. Local politics has, however, lately been argued to have possibilities to affect its own development and its chances to achieve growth. Some of the most important factors from this debate are to make a community attractive for people and companies, committed leadership, the local business world with entrepreneurialism and a good business climate. These factors serve as a starting point for this discussion where focus is on the possibilities to achieve growth on the local level and the politics that is used for this purpose.To illustrate the chances to affect local growth I apply the theoretical perspective of regime theory and thereby examine the governing coalitions "power to" govern and not "power over" as the earlier theoretical perspectives in the area.

Within the next ten years, the largest generationchange ever will take place in the Swedish constructionsector. The purpose of my study is to examine themajor differences between "Generation Y" and previousgenerations. This is done in order to find out how theNCC will attract the employees of the next generation,manage them at work and finally be able to keep theemployees that has been trained internally over alonger period of time.Previous research has been based on theories ofGeneration Y in general. It investigates the distinctivecharacteristics and qualities of the generation, andalso how their upbringing may have shaped them intowhat they are. Three respondent groups wereinterviewed: Engineer students of "Generation Y",officials at NCC belonging to "Generation Y" andmanagers at NCC.The results of the study show that "Generation Y"differs from previousgenerations, and how they differ.

Detta är en kvalitativ undersökning som handlar om när man upplever lycka i ett parförhållande. Undersökningens huvudsyfte är att skapa förståelse för lycka och när man upplever det. Författaren har med hjälp av intervjuer försökt besvara frågeställningen: När upplever man lycka i ett parförhållande? 5 par intervjuades och totalt spelades 10 intervjuer in och transkriberades. Intervjuerna varade 5 - 10 minuter och författaren ställde sammanlagt 8 frågor.

This thesis is performed in collaboration with Kraftpowercon AB in Surte, Sweden. Focus has been on to identify the powerlosses in one of Kraftpowercons halfbridge DC-DC converters. First theoretical calculations are made, the calculations is verified with measurements of six different operation modes. In a later stage, methods like soft switching and synchronous rectifying are proposed to increase the efficiency for the converter. To achieve softswitching for the halfbridge, the LLC resonant converter topologies are implemented and examined.

This study was aimed to investigate why team sport coaches use group training as a part in their build-up training. Issues covered in this study are: "What motives have coaches in team sports that use group exercise as part of the build-up training?" and "What are the positive and negative aspects experienced trainers of using group exercise as part of build-up training in team sports?". It was a qualitative study, seven interviews were made with team sport coaches that has used group training as a type of exercise in their built-up training in collaboration with Friskvårdskompaniet. The results showed that the reasons why group exercise were used was different from coach to coach for example one motive was to increase the players physically ability.
