Sweden have 419 000 km road in the country and about half of these roads is forestroads. The forest road net most important mission is to make it possible to deliver wood from the forest to the industries. With a raw material that is spread over a large area the road network is important. Each year has the forest road network been extended with about 1 700 km new roads. To decide if a new road is to be built different forest road cost estimation models has been used.
Ambulanspersonalens upplevelser av trafiksäkerheten i vårdutrymmet i vägburna ambulanser
Ambulanssjukvård bedrivs både på hämtplats och under transporten till mottagande enhet. Detta medför att personalen utför vårdåtgärder i vårdutrymmet under transporten enligt tidigare forskning sker detta ofta utan att personalen använder sig av bilbältet.Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka ambulanspersonalens upplevelser av trafiksäkerheten i vägburna ambulanser.Metoden har varit intervjuer med semistrukturerade frågor samt en öppen fråga. Intervjuerna har genomförts med ambulanspersonalen i deras arbetsmiljö, det vill säga ambulansens vårdutrymme. Intervjuerna har sammanställts och en innehållsanalys har gjorts på den öppna frågan.Resultatet visar att personalen inte använder säkerhetsutrustningen i den utsträckning som de borde och vill göra. Arbetsmiljön och patientens tillstånd var helt avgörande.
Spårtrafik i norra Stockholmsregionen
Northeast Stockholm is a region developing fast. There is already a great need for new transport solutions for the people commuting to the city, since long queues slow down car traffic and the local railway, Roslagsbanan, needs to be upgraded to attract more travelers. The competitive advantage of rail?traffic over the car when it comes to greenhouse gases and air pollutants is another reason to develop Roslagsbanan.This report investigates the differences between car and train to create a basis for a proposed expansion of Roslagsbanan. Once the proposal is presented, costs, emissions reductions and public benefits are analyzed.

Miljöarbete inom den civila luftfarten
The main environmental problem for aviation is the great amount of exhaust gases, mainly nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons - mostly "greenhouse gases" leading to climate changes. I decided to sort out what is being done to decrease these problems and what regulations there are concerning air pollution by the means of searching the internet and using publications from aviation authorities for current figures. I chose to scrutinize authorities on political, authority and company level, resulting in summarizing the work of UN and EU respectively, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) and LFV (Swedish Civil Aviation Authority), and finally SAS, representing the airline companies. Conclusion that I have drawn are thatthere are regulations for air pollution, written down in ICAO's Annex 16, that are to be followed. Secondly, LFV are environmentally controlling their nineteen airports and since economy is an important reason for not giving priority to environmental issues in aviation emission charge and noise charge are added to the landing fees.
Kartläggning av rapporterade olyckor med djurtransporter i dagspress i Sverige
When farm animals are transported there are several factors that can affect their welfare. If the vehicle has an accident the welfare of the animals transported will probably be compromised.
The aim of this study was to make a survey of accidents with animal transportation vehicles in Sweden. The survey included the number of accidents from January 2000 to May 2014, the cause of the accidents and how the animal welfare was affected by the accident. The authorities which were likely to have reports about accidents involving animal transports were contacted. There were no collected records about transportation accidents and the authorities referred to eachother for information.
Nitrogen flow in Scania : substance flow analysis on a regional level
In this thesis, the flows of reactive nitrogen (Nr) in Scania were investigated and quantified. The thesis was also intended to form a basis for comparison between the urban nitrogen flow and other flows of nitrogen within Scania. The management of nitrogen in society has disturbed the natural nitrogen cycle. This is linked to a series of environmental problems such as eutrophication, acidification, global warming and smog.
The method used was Substance Flow Analysis (SFA) for Nr. For calculation and flow charts Scania was divided into three subsystems; air, water and society.
Vindkraft och elbilar på Öland år 2020 : Är smart laddning av elbilar lösningen på ett framtida flaskhalsproblem?
The Island of Öland has one of the best wind climates for land based wind power in Sweden. An objective for the Island is to become self sufficient using electricity from renewable source of energy such as wind. There is currently 55 MW capacity installed on the Island and it is estimated that grid congestion will occasionally occur if more than 135 MW was installed.The aim of this thesis is to investigate he possibilities for load management by smart charging of electric vehicles, EV. The definition of smart charging is that the charging is done to some extent with an ICT-system, (information and communication technology) that correlates wind electricity generation to the charging of electric vehicles. The purpose is to avoid grid congestions on the sub-sea cable that connects Öland to the mainland because that in turn would curtail wind energy production.

Denna uppsats är behållningen av en fältstudie som har gjorts på ett företag inom transport- och logistikbranschen. Jag har använt mig av både primär (intervjuer) och sekundär data (hemsida, hållbarhetsrapport, företagstidning etc.) för att ta reda på hur företaget gör för att kunna konkurrera i branschen. Till de ämnen som genererats ur resultatet har teorier och modeller kopplats. Några av teorierna är Porters värdekedja, Normanns gemensamma värdeskapande och Abrahamssons m.fl. strategiska flexibilitet.
Totalkostnadsmodell för distributionsnätverk med internationella containertransporter
Purpose ? The purpose of this thesis is to develop a total cost model for container transports and create a tool that calculates a suitable transport quantity from an economic view, which fulfills the demands on delivery service. To achieve this purpose the following questions will be answered:Which costs are affected by the decision between the two transport alternatives LCL and FCL? How does the decision of sending product LCL or FCL influence the delivery service? How can a tool be constructed to simplify the decision-making process regarding the choice of sending products LCL or FCL? Method ? A total cost model was developed. This model is supported from existing literature.
Effects of peat and wood shavings as bedding on the faecal microflora of horses
The main purpose of this study was to determine the impact of bedding material on the faecal microflora of horses. Another objective was to investigate the hygienic and physical qualities of the bedding materials used and how these may change in the course of the trial period. The bedding materials used were sphagnum peat and wood shavings. Six horses had each material as bedding for a three week period in a change?over experiment.

In this study a case study was conducted at the Transport Agency. The government agency is seeking better alternatives to its current ways of keeping track of important dates stated in legal documents. The agency wants to explore the possibility for an IT-solution for keeping track on those dates. In the case study change analysis was conducted on the vehicle type approval process. Qualitative interviews were conducted with a section manager, vehicle type and component approvers, and with a system administrator and a system manager at the Transport Agency in Borlänge.

Background: In the past 10 years private label has increased significantly in the Swedish grocery market. This is an important strategic event, which is a great challenge to suppliers as it causes stiff competition. To handle this situation an increasing number of suppliers have to make the decision whether to produce private label or not.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find and analyse factors that influence suppliers in the Swedish grocery market to produce private label. On this basis we intend to confirm or develop existing theories within the field of study.Research method: The study has a qualitative approach where empirical data has been gathered through interviews with suppliers and retailers in the Swedish grocery market.Results: This study has identified factors that underlie suppliers? decision to produce private label.

The problem has become so common that we do not even notice it in the media. Each year the theft of 1 billion of Sweden and the entire 82 billion in Europe in 2008. This is an increase of 10 billion by 2007.
Bioteknik i Öresundsregionen - behovet av en katalysator i en klustermiljö
Denna uppsats undersöker en medlemsorganisations roll och betydelse för utvecklingen av en klustermiljö, samt vilka möjligheter en sådan organisation har att förmedla vikten av sina insatser i och utanför ett nätverk. En kvalitativ metod har använts i form av intervjuer med personer inom den offentliga sektorn vars arbetsuppgifter berör näringslivet i Öresundsregionen. Dessutom ligger diskussioner med nyckelpersoner inom organisationen Medicon Valley Academy till grund för den empiriska studien. De teorier som används är: kluster, trippelhelix, regional innovationsteori, nätverk, organising capacity och Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Fem kommuner från den svenska och danska sidan av Öresund utgör tillsammans med Köpenhamns och Skånes motsvarigheter till landsting den insamlade empirin.
