Detta examensarbete har syftat till att utreda hur man kombinerar blysyrabatterier med superkondensatorer. Batterier är ett vanligt medium för lagring av elektrisk energi. Ett av problemen de lider av är brist på uttagbar effekt, vilket är superkondensatorns starka egenskap. I examensarbetet har först fakta tagits fram och presenterats, för att sedan kunna göra en analys av bland annat effekt, energitäthet och verkningsgrader. Resultatet visar att hos en kondensator/batteri-kombination ökas effekttätheten med en faktor 3 vid ca 23% kondensatorviktandel vid 30-sekunders urladdning, medan den viktmässiga energitätheten minskar till ca 4/5 av batteriets energitäthet vid samma urladdningtid..

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Volvo Cars Torslanda i Göteborg. I Torslandafabriken produceras fyra olika bilmodeller, S80, V70, XC70 och XC90, vid ett och samma monteringsflöde. Då monteringsarbetet sker vid en driven line upplever de anställda att produktionstakten är hög. Dessutom innebär de olika modellerna ett stort antal arbetsmoment. Problemet för Volvo är att nå uppsatta kvalitetsmål då det höga arbetstempot och det stora antalet arbetsmoment begränsar montörernas möjlighet till att snabbt komma upp i nödvändigt arbetstempo.

The three models thats being tested is SAAB (93SS), VAG (1.8T) and Volvo (S60). To every brand there are three different models. A orginal- , sport- and an open cone air filter (Opti-Flow).The results indicate that the open Opti-Flow filter has better performance compared to the other cased filters. The sport filters for SAAB and Volvo has better performance then the original filter.

Like many small-time companies there is a need to improve the flow of materials at HSP-Gripen AB. The company develops and manufactures hydraulic-powered grapples for the machine- and forest industry. By mapping the material flow in the current production and gathering necessary data, suggestions on how different parts of the production could be controlled is presented in this dissertation. This has been achieved by the study of relevant scientific literature. The suggested ways of controlling the production consist of 2-bin systems, hybrid material flow system as well as a cyclic product-planning.

Hybrid betyder korsningsform. Jag vill i mitt examnesarbete korsa och förena de områden som intresserar mig mest yrkesmässigt: scenografi, utställningsdesign och uttrycksfull inredningsarkitektur. Jag har undersökt hur man kan tänka kring scenrummet och utställningsrummet och utvecklat ett rumsligt gestaltningskoncept utifrån de behov som finns i verksamheten på det nystartade Fisksätra Museum, i Nacka utanför Stockholm.Det rumsliga koncept jag tagit fram är föränderligt för att kunna fungera i olika typer av sammanhang ? för utställningar, scenlösningar och workshops. Väggar ska gå att flytta, spännande rumsligheter ska kunna skapas.

Produktframtagningsindustrin utsätts för snabba förändringar vilket medför att kraven från kunder, konkurrenter och lagkrav ökar. Företag inom produktframtagning måste därför ständigt förbättra sina metoder och processer för att fortsätta konkurrera och leverera kvalitativa produkter och tjänster. Samtidigt ska de nya metoderna vara lättarbetade, lättförståeliga och effektiva, med fokus på att minska fel, slöseri och resurser som inte skapar värde för slutkunden. Ett samordnat flöde med tvärfunktionella processer är därför önskvärt för att på ett lönsamt sätt uppnå satta mål.Med detta i åtanke fanns en uppdragsbeskrivning på Scania för att följa upp artikelritningens funktion och användning. Examensarbetet har undersökt vilka möjligheter som finns med att använda 3D-modellen som informationsbärare för att på sikt kunna ersätta artikelritningen.

This work examines the students´ thoughts on climate change with a focus on carbondioxid through photosynthesis and the carbon emissions from cars. The study is based on two subject areas, one with a focus on enhanced greenhouse effect, and the other focusing on photosythesis. The survey was conducted by means of qualitative interviews with students in grades four and six. The results describe that student´s understanding for photosynthesis and the carbondioxids function for photosynthesis doesn´t change significantly from grade four to grade six. I have divided the students inte three levels based on their understandingof the various fields, and their use of adequate concepts.

This Master?s Thesis work was performed at the Studio Engineer department at Volvo CarsDesign Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The assignment has been to create a new idea of an airvent where the news value mainly was focused at functionality but also with great attention onvisual appearance.The work has been totally independent and not been aimed to any specific car model. Theindependency initially made that the visual appearance primary wasn?t limited in any way dueto surrounding components.

This project explores how artificial landscapes as parks and squares above ground can save space by using the vertical voids in urban environments and how they can create spatial and social as well as ecological qualities and connections. Hybrid landscapes are a phenomenon of current interest within the field of architecture and urbanism. Architecture as surface, where facades and roofs become possible to tread, is a relatively recent occurence that has over the past few years become an increasingly common sight in architectural magazines and on international architecture exhibitions. Many of my selected reference projects have often been associated with sensational contemporary design trends generated by advanced computer software. But the phenomenon is also a result of other different currents of change that exist within today?s society, such as densified cities with a lack of open space, which is also expressed in architecture.

To achieve the goal of fossil independency in the Swedish vehicle fleet in 2030, it would be important to substantially increase the proportion of electric vehicles, both BEV:s (Battery Electric Vehicles) and PHEV:s (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles). The Swedish Energy Agency has funded numerous research and development projects about electric vehicles in recent years. An important task for the Swedish Energy Agency is to allocate state funds to those projects with the greatest potential to contribute to increased establishment of electric vehicles in society. The purpose of this work is mainly to understand the efforts and measures that can make the market for electric vehicles to grow. The report can contribute to a better understanding of how far the research on electric vehicles has come and what has to be done in the future to promote the establishment of electric vehicles. Another aim for this report is that it should serve as a basis for future decisions by the Swedish Energy Agency on which projects that will be funded with state funds.

This Master Thesis documents the development of an On Board Diagnosis (OBD-II) interface for remote diagnosis of vehicles. The Master Thesis is part of a project at the company Wayfinder Systems in Lund. The purpose of this thesis was to design a scantool that communicates with a vehicle through its OBD-II port using relevant standards. In order to make the OBD-II interface development easier, a car simulator was first built. Both the car simulator and the OBD-II interface were implemented using a linux computer running a C-program with serial communication with an external electrical interface.

This paper is an event study on Initial Public Offering?s return behavior after the dot com bubble. Cumulative Abnormal Returns are used to measure the performance against a market index. The results suggest that the market correctly prices IPOs in the long run thus upholding the Market Efficiency hypothesis. Moreover, value weighted CARs show that large IPOs are more likely to outperform smaller IPOs, however in the long run there is an unpredictable pattern.

AbstractThe project "Sound and Play" have been implemented in collaboration with the toy company BRIO in Malmo. The purpose of the project was to examine whether and how BRIO in the future could develop toys around sound for Toddlers.The problem formulations that would be answered after completion of the project was "How could BRIO broaden its product range with the help of audio toys?", "How can you combine toys and sounds in an interesting way for children?", "How do you create a toy with sound that is fun for the child, but not annoying for parents?". Currently BRIO only has two toys with sound in this age group.The expression of the toy was going to be a mix of classic and cool and the overall feeling of the toy was going to be explorative and arouse curiosity in the child. This feeling would be communicated through simplicity and joy.
