This thesis is a product of research about how implementation issues occur due to the relationbetween bureaucrats and politicians. Our study treats the democratic dilemma that occurs whenschools are to implement environmental certifications. Through a comparative study we comparetwo schools in Norra Hisingen, a district in Gothenburg municipal where one of the schools iscertificated and one is not. By using theories from top down and bottom up approaches toimplementation we develop key factors that will lead us to answer our research questions.Through text analysis of policy documents and through interviews with bureaucrats we analyzewhat may be the causes for only one of the two schools to be certificated though Gothenburgmunicipal wish all schools to be. Through our analytical tool we can establish that the policydocuments are well formed according to our top down-theory and that these documents does nothave a major impact on the fact that one school is certificated and one is not.

Frihamnen är ett mycket centralt beläget, gammalt handelshamnsområde, i Göteborg, som angränsar Hisingen i norr och Göta älv i söder. Området var en gång i tiden sveriges största och enda oceanhamn. När varvskrisen slog till under 70-talet drabbades Frihamnen hårt, likt många andra hamnar. Varvet och hamnverksamheten avvecklades successivt och kvar blev en stor yta mark som frigjordes för andra ändamål. Sedan dess har diverse företag huserat i de kvarvarande byggnaderna och området har haft, och har fortfarande, funktion som arbetsplats. Idag är Frihamnen en del av Göteborgs Stads utvecklingsområde Centrala Älvstaden, vilket är det gemensamma namnet för Norra Älvstranden och Södra Älvstranden. Arbetet med Frihamnen är i dagsläget i ett undersökande stadie och inga konkreta planer har ännu arbetats fram..

The Göta älv-bridge is a welded steelbridge which is located in Gothenburg,it connects the inner city of Gothenburgwith the island Hisingen. Cracks wasdiscovered in the steel in 1999-2000which started an investigation of thebridge to clearify the condition of thebridge. The conclusion was a monitoringsystem based on laser light sent throughan optical fiber.This report describes the bridge, thedamages, the monitoring system and thetraffic on the bridge.Stefan Pup, at Vectura Borlänge was mysupervisor during this work. In myinvestigation the costs of themonitoring system and the costs ofclosing the bridge is compared andevaluated. The biggest investigatingpart is the costs of closing the bridge.The results of my investigations is thatclosing the Göta älv-bridge would cost 1107 300 SEK / day.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur god intern kommunikation ser ut i verksamheter inomsocialt arbete i Göteborg, Norra Hisingen, och om informanterna är nöjda med hur denna kommunikation tillämpas. Även synen på ärlighet kommer att undersökas för att se om det finns en koppling mellan ärlighet och god intern kommunikation. Det jag också vill få ut av undersökningen är om teoretikerna och informanterna, med fokusering på arbetstagarna, upplever en gemensam syn på vad god intern kommunikation innefattar och om synen på ärlighet överensstämmer med varandra. Kort kommer jag också jämföra uppfattningen mellan arbetstagare och arbetsgivare.Frågeställningarna:? Vad är god intern kommunikation, vad är ärlighet och vilken betydelse har det, enligt teoretiker ochinformanter?? Hur ser arbetstagare inom socialt arbete på god intern kommunikation inom deras verksamhet?? Om och i så fall hur är ärlighet kopplat till god intern kommunikation?I denna studie intervjuade jag tio personer som jobbar inom socialt arbete från Göteborg, Norra Hisingen.

My research questions concerned incentives for the new features, their practical consequences and prerequisites for implementation. The study has been performed by three focus group interviews with different parts of the organization represented. The work material has then been analyzed using Implementation Theory, Human Service Organization Theory and theories on breaking up. The study showed that all respondents were motivated to perform the changes, but also that there were significant differences between the groups? conceptions of what implementation demands, and of the organizational support today.

Litorapid Media AB is a printer and prepresscompany, located on Hisingen, Gothenburg. Litorapid is a relatively large company, and is therefore in great need of convenient contacts with becoming and present customers. Seeing that they work with the most rescent technique in the branch of printing, it is important that they market themselves in a modern way. The purpose with this project became, for that reason, to create a more contemporary home page for the company to catch new customers, as well as aninteractive presentation of the company to create a more personal contact with customers they alreay have. The home page was created in the programme Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, and its design is based on previouly distributed brochures.

Inledning: Psykisk ohälsa bland barn- och ungdomar är ett växande problem som bör upptäckas och behandlas så tidigt som möjligt. Skolsköterskan har vid hälsosamtalet ett ypperligt tillfälle att identifiera psykisk ohälsa hos eleven.Syfte: Att genom journalgranskning visa skillnader/likheter i psykisk ohälsa bland barn- och ungdomar i olika åldrar, med olika kön och från olika områden av stadsdelen Västra Hisingen. Metod: Eleverna valdes från årskurserna fyra och sju/åtta från skolområdena Biskopsgården samt Torslanda. En retrospektiv journalgranskning av det standardiserade hälsosamtalet genomfördes. Dessa analyserades kvantitativt och illustrerades med citat ur journalerna.

Denna uppsats undersöker kommunikativa förutsättningar för Mini-Maria i Göteborg att föra ut information om alkohol och droger till unga 13?21 år. Uppsatsen undersöker vidare om unga vet vart de skall vända sig för att få information om alkohol och droger och till vilka plattformar, aktörer och sociala kontaktytor de helst vänder sig för att få alkohol- och droginformation, samt huruvida unga i Göteborg känner till Mini-Maria eller ej. Uppsatsens resultat har för avsikt att ge fingervisningar som kan fungera som underlag till Mini-Marias framtida kommunikationsstrategier. Undersökningens teoretiska utgångspunkt är inom fältet strategisk kommunikation.

The study is a case study about the green urban district, East Kvillebäcken, located in Gothenburg, Hisingen. East Kvillebäcken is the first urban district in Sweden with ambition to build sustainable according to the certification system Miljöbyggnad, which make it a pioneer project. The purpose is to investigate the upcoming and the meaning of the green urban district in East Kvillebäcken and show how public employees think the urban district can affect social, ecologic and economic aspects in the area. Dialogue interviews were done with four public employees, one estate agent and two residents. Local plans and other authority documents were used to get a deeper understanding for the case study.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att med hjälp av en ersättningsrättslig juridisk metod, med avstamp i en olycka vid järnvägsdrift, undersöka tillämpliga regler både i teori och praktik. Den praktiska delen av uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i Göteborgs Hamn AB (GHAB) som verkar i Göteborgs hamn. I närheten av hamnen ligger Torsviken, ett naturskönt friluftsområde med unikt fågelliv som är beläget på Hisingen i Göteborg. Vid denna typ av transportverksamhet som utförs av GHAB finns det en risk att det sker en olycka. En del av GHAB:s arbete innebär därmed att försöka minimera denna risk genom säkerhetsinstruktioner, förebyggande arbete och utbildning av personalen.

Många barn och ungdomar har idag en livsstil som innebär hög grad av fysisk inaktivitet ochohälsosamma matvanor. Denna livsstil har bidragit till att var fjärde tioåring i Sverige äröverviktig och 3-5% lider av sjukdomen fetma. Fysisk inaktivitet och övervikt kan få allvarligakonsekvenser för både individ och samhälle. Det är därför av stor vikt att satsa på förebyggandeoch hälsofrämjande insatser till barn och ungdomar for att skapa och bevara en god livsstil.Hälsan i Sverige är ojämnt fördelad och genom att rikta insatser till skolan har man möjlighet attnå alla barn och därmed utjämna ohälsan på lång sikt. Tidigare studier visar att skolbaseradeinsatser kan ge goda effekter i det förebyggande arbetet mot övervikt och fysisk inaktivitet.

En utbyggnad av shared space har skett och sker runt om i Sverige, Europa och övriga världen. Utbyggnaden har föranlett en debatt kring ämnet som handlar om stadens funktion och om människors tillgång till staden utifrån sina villkor. Det finns ett kunskapsbehov i kommunal planering när det gäller utformning och val av plats för shared space, vilket är en av anledningarna till examensarbetet. Syftet är att formulera och pröva en arbetsmodell som kan vara vägledande i arbetet med etablering av shared space, där fokus ligger på prioriteringar mellan användare och begreppen: stadens karaktär, tillgänglighet, trygghet, trafiksäkerhet och miljö. Dessa utgör kvalitetsbegreppen i planerarhandboken; Trafik för en attraktiv stad.

AbstractIn the fall of 2003 a project was started in the Swedish building sector that is called BASTA (the building sectors’ termination of especially harmful substances). The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the company’s products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the company’s products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTA’s demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.

Gothenburg municipality has a lot of natural water. This paper enhances the function and importance of water in the city. It also deals with the problems of sewage water and flooding. Gothenburg has reached an advanced stage of water planning. By developing a Waterplan, the municipality highlight that water has an important position in the urban planning.
