The following study aims to investigate the environmental conditions of the harbor of Sk?rhamn, a small fishing community on the west coast of Sweden. The interest to do so rose as a newly built apartment residence failed to connect the sewage pipes of 18 apartments, causing the untreated sewage running into the sea. The parameters accounted for are the C/N ratio, total organic carbon (TOC) as well as total nitrogen present (TN) and ?13C in the top ten centimeters of a sediment core retrieved in the Sk?rhamn harbour.

The study is based on Lev Vygotskijs and John Dewey's learning theory. Such is ?the zone for immediate development? and ?learning by doing?.Purpose: The study's purpose was to examine how four teachers´ work with bilingual children's language development in a preschool and in a preschool class. These questions will be answered in my study: 1). which view of bilingualism have been the educators? 2).

Plant nutrients are important for all life on earth and are also important as fertiliser infood production all over the world. Because of this, plant nutrients are of great valuebut they also bring problems. As an example, the loss of nitrogen and phosphorusfrom agriculture and urban society's sewage systems contributes to some of today?smajor problems in water environment. Another problem associated with plantnutrients is that finite recourses are used in the production of mineral fertilizers.

I uppsatsen redogörs för Hammondorgelns historia samt instrumentets konstruktion och funktion. I den konstnärliga delen av arbetet beskrivs författarens process att lära sig spela instrumentet. I kvantitativa intervjuer och diskussioner fångas åsikter och kritik upp efter att instrumentet använts i gudstjänster och konserter i Stora Sköndals Kyrka, Stockholm. I kvalitativa intervjuer med två kyrkomusiker, som också spelar Hammondorgel, redovisas erfarenheter och infallsvinklar.Slutsatsen pekar på både fördelar och nackdelar. Positivt är t.ex.

Every year about 210 000 tones dry weight of sewage sludge is produced in Sweden. Most of the sludge is applied to agricultural land, plantsoil and landfill cover. Sewage sludge contains essential nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is limiting growth on solid ground in Sweden and can therefore be used as fertilizer to increase productivity. In order that the sludge can be spread to forest land it requires first a conversion of sludge to pellets, to make it more manageable.

I och med att nyckelharpan blivit allt populärare, har den spridit sig över Sverige och även utanför landets gränser. Som nyckelharpsspelman och lärare på nyckelharpa, väcktes ett intresse för att undersöka hur nyckelharpans spridning ser ut under 2000-talet. Syftet är att få vetskap om hur och till vilka nyckelharpan spridit sig och vilka nya användningsområden den kommit att få. Undersökningen genomfördes som litteraturstudier med jämförelser av litteratur nära knutet till ämnesområdet. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att nyckelharpans spridning under 2000-talet främst skett genom olika medier där Internet spelat en framträdande roll. Den globala spridningen är betydande med nya utövare, främst i USA men även i flera Västeuropeiska länder.

High quality within a Lean production system begins with standardised work, which creates stable processes able to generate predictable output. If nonconformity from the standard procedures occurs, routines are needed to analyse, correct and prevent the nonconformity from occurring again. In that way, the nonconformity can be a trigger for continuous improvements toward more stable processes. In takted production lines, where the operator follows a standard sequence with tasks set to be completed within the takt time, a nonconformity leads to downtime in the operator?s sequence, and no value is added.

The basis of the study lies with a newly patented gearbox by cardiologist and inventor Stig Lundbäck. Stig founded CorPower Ocean AB to further develop the gearbox to be used in a wave energy device. The purpose of this project is to develop a concept of a lifting system with CorPower Oceans gearbox that is more energy efficient than a hydraulic lifting system. The goal is to use technology from CorPower Oceans gearbox inversely to perform heavy lifting as an alternative to hydraulics. The project is limited to applying the gearbox and gear rack on a forklift with a lifting capacity of ten tons.The main tool in this project will be the product development process Systems Engineering where only the most relevant parts will be used to develop a concept.

Gellivare hard rock research (GHRR) bedriver projektet ?Snabbare och bättre tunneldrivning? i samarbete med bland annat Luossavaara Kiirunavaara AB (LKAB), där målet är att förbättra utförandet av varje enskild aktivitet i salvcykeln. Projektarbetet utförs enligt Demings förbättringscykel, PDSA-cykeln. I etapp ett har en detaljerad problemidentifikation av aktiviteterna i salvcykeln genomförts. Problemen har prioriterats och förslag till lösningar har utarbetats.

Music has always been an important form of communication and it can be found in many different contexts including aesthetical, cultural and emotional forms. In the globalized society of today music can be distributed fast through radio, TV, CD: s and the Internet. For many people consumption of music is an important part of the daily life and it can contribute to shape an individual?s attitudes and personality.The main purpose of this study is to find out whether there are any differences between men and women?s musical preferences. I will apply an explorative approach using qualitative interviews to describe what causes the differences.

Erosion in coastal areas is a common problem all around the world. The range of the problem depends on several factors, i.e. type of bed-rock and soil, wind and wave climate. Another factor is whether the area is of high interest, i.e. if the area is important for tourism and recreation, if there are houses and other buildings close to the shoreline or if it is a site of special scientific interest.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utforska vad några sångelever på estetiskt program på gymnasiet anser motiverar dem under sånglektionerna. Metoden som använts är kvalitativa, halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Fyra gymnasieelever vid det estetiska programmet har intervjuats om deras motivation relaterat till de sånglektioner de får på respektive skola. Det teoretiska perspektivet som studien baseras på är ett motivationspsykologiskt perspektiv. I resultatet presenteras temat Att känna sig ?bra? som summerar informanternas berättelser om den ökade motivation de upplever då de känner sig bra på att sjunga.

Syftet är att beskriva ett projekt inom Entertainment och identifiera dess Key Success Factors. En fallstudie gjordes av privatteaterproduktionen HippHipp! [paw rihk-titt] som gavs i Lund 2003-2004. I en induktiv studie genomfördes nio stycken intervjuer som resulterade i ett empiriskt material. Detta material analyserades och relaterades till teorier om projektledning (Briner m fl), adhocrati (Mintzberg), Key Success Factors (Grant) och Experience Economy (Pine & Gilmore). Studien beskriver ett framgångsrikt projekt inom Entertainment och förklarar framgången med projektet genom att presentera sex stycken Key Success Factors.

This thesis was commissioned by Tekniska verken, Energy Division with the overall aim to investigate the concept of environmental debt and what it means for a business. Furthermore, a sustainable risk and responsibility investigation shall be carried out on the concerned areas. Finally, the priority areas shall be highlighted and proposed actions presented. The Swedish Environmental debt concept was presented in 1992 by Arne Jarnelöv. Environmental debt is defined as restoration costs for environmental damage. In the early days the concept did not take into account who was responsible, but the environmental debts was regarded as a humanity debt to future generations.

Since feeding fodder crops to dairy cows is a heavy and time-consuming but often disregarded line of work, this study wishes to view the different possibilities that are currently available to decrease the time to feed and apply this knowledge on an existing farm. For this purpose, four farms have been studied due to what feeding systems that are currently used and how long time the feeding required. The occurring systems are either mobile, i.e. a feed mixer operated by a tractor witch feeds the cattle via a drivable fodder table, or a stationery mixer, i.e. an electrically powered mixer which fills an automatic feeder.
