Hand-arm vibrationssyndrom (HAVS) är ett tillstånd som inte är så välkänt trots att det är ett relativt vanligt tillstånd bland flera yrkesgrupper. Ökad kunskap inom området kan vara ett redskap för arbetsterapeuter i mötet med patienter med HAVS. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva den vetenskapliga dokumentationen om hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS). Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie gjordes med sökningar i databaserna AMED, Cinahl och Medline. Nio artiklar valdes till resultatet.

I dagsläget finns det en rad olika eftermarknadsprodukter som påstår sig reducera vibrationer som förekommer vid skoterkörning. Denna rapport har på uppdrag av Center for Vibration Comfort AB (CVK) undersökt skoterstyrets inverkan på vibrationsemissioner för hand-arm vibrationer (HAV), samt vilken inverkan olika eftermarknadsprodukter har på emissionerna. Tidigare rapporter inom ämnet påvisar att skoterförare riskerar mer än tre gånger så hög chans för Raynaud?s fenomen (?Vita-fingrar syndromet?)(17% av förarna påvisade syndromet) gentemot kontrollgrupper (5% påvisade syndromet). De påvisar även att de farliga vibrationerna i styret kunde dämpas med 30-40% genom att använda isolatorer vid motorfäste, välja lämplig längd på styre samt använda gummiplattor vid stödytor.

Today there are guidelines how hand hygiene should be followed, to prevent health- related infection. Good knowledge and education in hand hygiene and its consequences if it?s not followed is of great importance. Hand hygiene should be performed before and after the clean and the unclean work with patients and materials.

Background: Hand hygiene is the simplest and most fundamental means to prevent care related infections. It is of great importance that the guideline of hand hygiene is followed for the patient?s sake. Unfortunately, healthcare workers perform hand hygiene too seldom. If the patient comes down with a care related infection, the suffering will increase.

AbstractIntroduction: Hand Arm Risk Assessment Method (HARM) is a tool to assess the risks of deve­lo­ping complaints of the arm, neck or shoulders during manual work. The method was developed in the Netherlands primarily for employers, but is also used as an aid to work environment in­spec­tors. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the HARM-method for assessment of biomecha­nical exposure of the upper limbs when performing manual tasks as well as its suitability to be used within work environment inspection. Methods: Ten labour inspectors conducted assessments of five video-recorded work tasks. Assess­ments made with HARM were compared with those made with the Assessment of Re­pe­titive Tasks (ART) tool and with ACGIH Hand Actvity Level (HAL) - both methods for assess­ment of bio­mecha­nical exposure of the upper limbs - and with the model for the assessment of re­pe­titive work in the pro­visions of the Swedish Work Environ­ment Autho­rity on ergonomics for the prevention of mus­culo­skeletal disorders, AFS 1998:1.

Hand raising is a common method in schools and a way for students to engage in the classrooms turn-allocation (Andersson & Haglund 2006, p 35), but not all benefit from it. According to Dylan Wiliam (2011) hand raising divides the students by putting the students that participate in hand raising at an advantage versus the students that do not. This study aims to examine hand raising as a phenomenon and the students and teachers thoughts about hand raising. The main research questions were:How do the students perceive hand raising?How do the teachers reflect upon hand raising?How is hand raising usedas a tool by the students?The main reference to this study has been senior lecture Fritjof Sahlströms (1999) thesis Up the Hill Backwards.

I vår försöksstudie har vi jämfört två såmaskiner av märket Väderstad Rapid. Jämförel-sen ligger i skillnaden i dragkraftsbehov samt vibrationer i vertikal ledd. Maskinerna är utrustade med två olika system av återpackningshjul. På den ena maskinen, som vi valt att kalla ?Rakhjuling?, sitter hjulen parallellt bredvid varandra och på den andra maski-nen som har Offsetutrustning sitter vartannat hjul förskjutet ca ¼ av däckdiametern.

Nuvarande riktlinjer för hur man skall bedöma och klassificera risken för att skador skall uppstå då hand- armsystemet utsätts för vibrationer är baserade på en enkel frekvensviktningskurva. Problemet med dagens rådande standard är att den inte tar hänsyn till alla de faktorer som inverkar på risken med vibrerande handhållna verktyg, t.ex. påverkan av transienter i vibrationerna eller mängden energi som absorberas av hand- armsystemet. Ett annat problem med standarden är att karaktärisering utifrån den tenderar att bli metodoberoende beroende på vilken analysmetod som väljs. Ett sätt att ta hänsyn till fler av de bidragande faktorerna är att använda andra analysmetoder, än de som används i enlighet med rådande standard, som till exempel vibration power absorption eller analytisk wavelettransform.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Preoperative hand disinfection aims to prevent surgical site infections. After the preparing hand wash, drying is performed using an aseptic technique. It?s important to dry hands thoroughly in order to achieve the full effect of the alcohol based hand disinfection. Due to the lack of a evidence-based guideline on this procedure, the hand drying techniques differ among operating theatre nurses, depending on which technique seen as the most appropriate.

Introduction: Good hand hygiene practice is the single most important measure to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses in healthcare. For nurses, this has become more important as the spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria in hospitals is increasingObjective: To identify factors that are important for adherence to hand hygiene among health care workers with patient contact.Method: Systematic literature review. Original articles were searched in PubMed and Cinahl.Results: Factors of importance for compliance was profession, lack of time, knowledge/education, physical work environment, attitudes toward hand hygiene, and dry hands.Conclusion: More education, less workload and more visible placement of hand disinfectant containers are examples of actions that could lead to the improvement of staff hand hygiene and reduce the incidence of healthcare associated infections. Due to the fact that health care workers around the world have different training and approaches, the result of this study may be difficult to use. This report describes the construction work of a radar antenna for the radar systemCARABAS. CARABAS is a long wave airborne ground radar that has been developed bySAAB Microwave Systems and will now be mounted on a small helicopter, Schweizer 300.The antenna should be able to fold up and down. When the radar is in use the antenna islowered and under transport, start and landing the antenna is folded up. An emergency dropfunction should also be included in the design of CARABAS III.The extent of this report includes construction of the antenna, frame structure attached to thehelicopter, mechanism for folding the antenna up and down and mechanism for emergencydrop function. The mechanical design of the antenna and frame structure is based on modaland stress analysis, vibration measurement of Schweizer 300 and frequency analysis, andcalculations regarding aerodynamic drag and mechanics.The exciting frequencies of the helicopter and accelerations at those frequencies weredetermined by vibration measurement and frequency analysis.

Syfte: Målsättningen med studien är att hos friska kvinnor utvärdera om intensiv tuggning leder till en proprioceptiv allodyni i massetermuskulaturen. Följande hypoteser testades i studien: 30 minuters intensivt tuggande leder till (1) ökad trötthet och smärta, (2) sänkt smärttröskel, (3) ökad vibrotaktil känslighet (4) samt träningsvärk i massetermuskulaturen bilateralt.
