Background: Flavan-3-ols are polyphenolic phytochemicals belonging to the flavonoids. Flavan-3-ols are present in many higher plants and are particularly concentrated in e.g. Camellia sinensis (tea) and Theobroma cacao (cacao) and have got attention due to their antioxidative capacity. Many studies have been able to associate flavan-3-ol-rich foods to improved endothelial function. The aim of the present work is to review the scientific literature and evaluate the evidence for positive effects of flavan-3-ols on endothelial dysfunction in humans. Method: Scientific articles describing intervention and observational studies about flavan-3-ols and endothelial dysfunction, were searched for on http://www.pubmed.org.

 AbstractThis study is performed by studying seven livestock businesses in the agricultural sector. The focus of the essay has been put on the structures that limit and enable the lives of the farmers in this study. One of these major structures that affect everyday life is the gender structure and to this day the housewife role exists where the women are responsible for the home, family and domestic pets while the men are responsible for the production, machinery and the heavier tasks on the farm. This is grounded in the history and the development that agriculture has gone through, but also in the strong patriarchal power structure that exists in this industry. In this essay I also show how the life form analysis of Liselotte Jakobsen and the independent life form can not be fully applied to the farmer as he is not completely independent in his work.

Background: Prostate cancer is the fourth most common cancer disease in the world and affects mainly older men. While having prostate cancer the treatment can be both medical and surgical and both these treatments can give side effects like erectile dysfunction, lost libido and hot flushes. Sexuality among elderly is often associated with taboo, but sexuality exists among elderly and is important for their wellbeing and quality of life. It is common that nurses don?t address and discuss questions concerning sexuality with patients, even though they know that sexuality often is affected while having a disease or experiencing illness.

This work broadly illuminates the conditions for increasing the commissions of forestry services within the whole, or parts of, the western regions of Stora Enso?s operating area. Through a questionnaire, a survey was made examining whether the owners of the forests themselves do the forestry on their woodlands. This foremost concerns the pre-commercial thinning, but also planting and soil scarification. The survey also shows who are buying the most part of their forestry services and who are carrying it out themselves.

När boken ?Könet sitter i hjärnan? publicerades 2007 skapade bokens författare, tillika läkaren, Annica Dahlström stor kontrovers eftersom hon menade att typiskt manliga och kvinnliga beteenden skapas i hjärnan och att män och kvinnor redan från födseln är olika varandra. Det stora diskussionsämnet var dock inte uteslutande hennes påstående om hur hjärnan formar könen, utan hennes åsikter om hur man bör förvalta denna nya kunskap. Exempelvis föreslog Dahlström att mamman i heterosexuella relationer borde ta ett större ansvar för hemomsorgen eftersom kvinnor var bättre lämpade för omvårdnad än män. My purpose with this thesis has been to find out how to choreograph a fight sequence in ananimated movie. With the help of professional stuntmen and dancers, I have tried to findmethods and techniques used on stage and in live-action film and apply those to animatedfilms. To successfully identify the techniques used, I conducted a number of interviews andanalyzed literature that deals with the subject of fight choreography. By the analysis of themethods provided by the choreographers and selected parts of the literature, I have compiled anumber of steps I recommend 3D animators should to take in their efforts to create their ownfight choreography..

Studies show that 10-15 percent of Sweden's population, 65 years or older are estimated to have depression or depression symptoms. The symptoms of depression among elderly people are less than symptoms of young people. This could cause that elderly people with depression are not always discovered. Studies show that elderly people who live in residential homes show more signs of depression than elderly people living at home. If elderly people live in a supporting environment, can it prevent that a depression developed.The prevention of depression among elderly people is a topic that is not discussed among previously research.

Guiden ska publiceras på VafabMiljös hemsida för skolklasser på Internet och där fungera som en förlängning av informatörernas arbete i skolorna. Målgruppen är barn i årskurs 3-5.

The company Sol & Energiteknik SE AB in Huskvarna has many different products which can reduce the need for an outside energy distributor. The aim of this study was to examine the view of social service workers on the secondary housing market based upon their work with social investigations regarding people with a difficult substance abuse. The foundation of this study rests upon a phenomenon, which according to other scholars, occurs in the secondary housing market in Sweden. The secondary housing market consists of a multitude of housing projects that social services provide for people who are homeless. The phenomenon is that the secondary housing market contains a number of demands aimed at the clients who live in these housing projects. If a client fails to live up to the demands it can sometimes lead to negative consequences which results in an exclusion from the housing projects.

Examensarbetet innefattar utveckling och produktion av en film avsedd för utbildning och marknadsföring av Alfa Lavals flödesreaktorer, ART® Plate Reactors, för att förbättra Alfa Lavals sätt att förmedla kunskap till och fånga intresse hos potentiella kunder på mässor.Målet med examensarbetet är att filmen ska användas på kemiteknikmässor där reaktorerna ställs ut, och syftet med arbetet var att med mässbesökarnas förkunskaper som bas utveckla en film som väcker intresse och samtidigt fungerar som ett lärandemedel.Genom intervjuer har information om hur mässor går till, önskemål om filmens utformning, samt bedömning av besökarnas förkunskaper samlats in. Dessa intervjuer, samt litteraturstudier inom området för kemiska reaktorer och lärande med animation och kommunikation på mässor har legat till grund för arbetet med framtagandet av filmen.En storyboard utvecklades, och lade grunden för produktionen av filmen som gjordes i samarbete med filmbyrån Upper/First i Malmö.
