Rädda Barnen och Rädda Barnens Ungdomsförbund har ett projekt som heter allan. Det är ett jämställdhetsarbete med samtalsgruppsverksamhet för fjortonåriga killar. Uppsatsen granskar metodmaterialet för dessa samtalsgrupper ur ett genusvetenskapligt perspektiv med särskilt fokus på maskuliniteter, maktordningar och jämställdhet. Metoden som används kallas idé- eller ideologianalys, och mer specifikt utförs en innehållslig idéanalys.Som utgångspunkt fungerar socialkonstruktivistisk teori inom maskulinitetsforskning. Speciellt används R.W Connells begrepp hegemonisk maskulinitet och Michael Kimmels texter om homosocialitet.

Our purpose was to investigate if Swedish University educated social workers, living as active Christians, in any way might be influenced by Christian values. The main questions; Can Christian values be a factor in the choice of career to become a social worker? How does a personal belief in Christ impact the relationship towards the clients? Is Christian belief a support in the work? In this paper we used a qualitative method and interviewed eight persons, with a background as above, four of them employed by a church organisation and the other four working in the social sector. The result we present is that the eight Christian social workers Christian belief influenced their work very individually. How much this supported them was a choice about how official and open they wanted Christian values to be.

The topic of homosexuality was until recently a taboo in Russian public discussion, but has during the last years become a hotly debated issue. Analyzing what I call the new homophobic narrative I isolate and examine two ways of ?othering? homosexuals, constructing them as strangers, when sexual minorities are discussed in today´s Russia. Sexual deviants are portrayed as threats to the nation and are connected to the West and its influence. Using analytical tools from queer theory, security studies and postcolonial approaches I discuss different ways of configuring the relation between nation and sexuality, identities that are interwoven in the homophobic narrative.

Bakgrund: HIV är ett stort globalt problem då det inte finns botande behandling eller vaccin mot sjukdomen. Tidigare var HIV känt som sjukdom relaterat till homosexualitet, men alla kan insjukna i HIV, vid oskyddade samlag, eller vid smittöverföring från mor till barn under graviditet, förlossning eller amning. 1982 upptäcktes det första HIV-fallet hos en homosexuell man i Sverige, och under 2013 beräknades 6400 människor vara HIV-positiva. Homosexualitet är tabu i de flesta länder och homosexuella män som är HIV-positiva känner sig ofta diskriminerade och stigmatiserade i vården och även från resten av samhället.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa hur män som identifierar sig som homosexuella och är HIV-positiva upplever att de blir bemötta i vården.Metod: Till denna litteraturstudie har nio empiriska studier med kvalitativ forskningsmetod använts och analyserats med en beskrivande analys av innehåll inspirerad av Friberg. Artikelsökningen utfördes i databaserna Cinahl, PubMED och PsycINFO.Resultat: Resultatet fann tre kategorier av upplevelser: Vi fann att männen upplevde sig stigmatiserade och diskriminerade både i vården och av sin omgivning eller objektifierade, men även att de blev bemötta med förståelse.

Hiv/aids är i dagsläget en ökande epidemi som drabbar hela världen. Homosexualitet har länge förknippats med sjukdomen vilket med stor sannolikhet bidragit till fördomar och negativa attityder till denna redan utsatta minoritet. Syftet med examensarbetet var att genom en systematisk litteraturstudie undersöka vårdpersonalens kunskaper om och attityder till hiv-positiva homosexuella. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka om attityder kunde skiljas åt beroende på kategorier av vårdpersonal vilket avser all personal inom vården samt sjuksköterske- och undersköterskestuderande. De viktigaste resultaten som framkom i studien var att de generella attityderna till hiv-positiva homosexuella övervägande var positiva och att de negativa attityderna till hiv/aids och homosexualitet ter sig kunna bero på en bristande kunskap och erfarenhet.

The purpose of this essay has been to investigate the research and national initiatives regarding film and Cineliteracy in the Swedish curriculum.The results show that, after all research, national initiatives and the continual clarification from the Swedish National Agency for Education concerning film's place in the Swedish subject, the vision of students cineliteracy not at all obtain an obvious place in the curriculum.The research points out the main causes behind this result to be teachers' lack of expertise and the fact that the formal education for future teachers in the subject still upholds traditional views on the subject of Swedish.The initiative presented in this essay also show lack of continuity, lack of adequate professional development opportunities for teachers and lack of practical guidance manuals to help teachers to develop and educate their pupils in line with current research and visions. .

This paper examines in what way the heterosexual matrix is challenged by Stephenie Meyer in Breaking dawn (Så länge vi båda andas). By doing a thematic study on the various family constellations appearing in the novel, I search for the queer elements in it. I discuss incest, family building and motherhood, and find that there are numerous queer elements associated with the themes I have chosen. I conclude that the Cullen family challenges the heterosexual matrix, despite not being typical queer vampire characters. I also find that building a successful family is not based on gender or constellation otherwise, but is instead dependant on democracy and equality.

The motivation for this thesis lies in the knowledge that there is a crucial information need amongst LGBTQ-persons wanting to read fiction related to LGBTQ in order to strengthen their own identity. This particular information need regarding identification has been said to be more central within LGBTQ-communities than within other user groups, largely because they represent a marginalized group in society. Critical feminists, such as Hope A. Olson, have proved that knowledge organization based on systems of subject representation in fact may lead to further marginalization and exclusion of already marginalized groups. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to compare subject representation and social tagging as methods of organizing LGBTQ-fiction.

The aim of this master thesis is to create an understanding of what it can be like to grow older as a homosexual man in Sweden today. The study has an intersectional and queer theoretical approach and is based on eight in depth interviews with men who are aged between 68 and 82 years old. In the analysis I deal with the problem of how sexuality can be inter- preted with the experience of aging. Central to the analysis is the criticism of norms connected to age, sexuality, social- and family life and gay culture.The results show that the norm-breaking sexual orientation of the men affects their life path in terms of how to organize social life, where friends often replace the traditional family. New ways of forming relationships and living their lives imply other obligations rather than the traditional for significant others, which was shown to influence the expectations and outcome of old age in terms of care and support.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how same-sex couples experience the second-parent adoption process. To assist us, we have used our questions: how do the couples describe their experiences of the adoption process? Which are the couples? stories about the experience of contact with the involved professionals? What are the opportunities and barriers for same-sex couples to start a family? How do the couples describe their experience of reactions from the community and society, and how do they think the future will look like for same-sex couples? This study has been achieved through a qualitative approach. The empirical data is based on seven semi-structured interviews with same-sex couples or pair members that want to or have had a second-parent adoption. The theory we have used for analyzing the results is phenomenology with focus on queer theory, heteronormativity, and power.

Uppsatsen syfte är att problematisera dikotomin maskulint/feminint och subjekten män/kvinnor, samt att införa ett icke-heterosexuellt perspektiv in i genusforskningen kring ungdomslitteratur. Detta görs utifrån teoretiker som Judith Butler, R.W. Connell och Judith Halberstam. Som utgångspunkt för den hermeneutiskt textinterna analysen används ungdomsromanen Spelar roll av Hans Olsson. Uppsatsen har också ett didaktiskt syfte där det efterfrågas en större medvetenhet kring ämnet sexuell läggning i skolan och utgår från litteraturdidaktikerna Louise M.

(Mykki Blanco, Le1f och Zebra Katz) där jag ställer frågan om den identitet som uttrycks hos dem är subversiva. För att ta reda på detta användes representations-begreppet tillsammans med Richard Dyers definition av stereotyper och José Esteban Muñoz avidentifikations-begrepp.Dessa tre artisters identiteter går att tolkas som subversiva då de använder normer och redan befintliga identiteter för att skapa nya uttryck, både från det heteronormativa och andra subversiva subkulturer. This essay aims to examine how the synthetic non-human subjects, EDI and Legion, are constituted in terms of their bodies, gender, desire and emotion, in the gaming series Mass Effect. In a close-gaming method I also want to explore in which way the gamer can effect or even change the expressions of the body, gen­der, desire, and emotion made by the synthetic non-human subjects. In order to do this I use Judith Butlers and Sara Ahmeds queer theory, and Donna Haraways cyborg feminism. I concluded that EDI em­braces her embodiments and is given a highly sexualized female body, being more of a woman than a machine. While Legion is rather embracing disembodiment and is given a non sexualized, androgynous male body, be­ing more of a machine than a man.

The aim of this thesis is a comparative study of Djuna Barnes' 1928 book Ladies Almanack and turn of the century sexological texts focusing on Havelock Ellis' studies of 'sexual inversion in women'. The study is based on queer theory concepts from Judith Butler and Fanny Ambjörnson as well as Michel Foucault's studies of the history of sexuality. After a presentation of the theoretical concepts and a short introduction of earlier research on Barnes' works my reading and conclusions are presented in five chapters focusing on different theoretical and thematic aspects of the studied texts. A recapitulation and discussion ends the thesis.In short, my conclusions are that Ladies Almanack contrary to earlier research can be read as a queer text, and a form of counter-discourse to the general one regarding lesbianism in the early 1900's. The text also reveals itself as a pointed critique and a satire of Havelock Ellis' writings on 'sexual inversion in women'.

Detta är en uppsats baserad på fyra kvalitativa intervjuer med unga kvinnor, som identifierarsig som homosexuella, boendes i en mindre stad. Den mindre staden har vi i denna studie valtatt benämna stad X för att säkerställa dess anonymitet. Syftet med denna uppsats är attundersöka hur unga kvinnor, som definierar sig som homosexuella, upplever att varanormbrytande gällande sexualitet. Den insamlade empirin har delats upp i fyra stora temaninför analysen; ?identitet?, ?hur andra reagerat?, ?att stängas ute? och ?upplevelser av att levaoch komma ut i stad X?.
