There has always been global warming on earth and it is because of it that the earth is inhabitable. Without global warming the temperature on earth would be around -18 ° C instead of today's + 15 ° C. Global warming is generated by greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane which trap long wave radiation in the earth's atmosphere. The problem today is that the global concentration of green house gases has significantly increased since the 1750's as a result of human activity. Today's values widely exceed the preindustrial values.

Nybro är en stad i ?Glasriket? i Småland, tillhörande Kalmar län. 2004 antogs en Fördjupad översiktsplan för Nybro stad med övergripande riktlinjer för stadens utveckling men ett mer detaljerat stadsmiljöprogram med analys och förslag till riktlinjer för utveckling av stadens offentliga rum finns inte. Arbetet med att utveckla stadens kärna är redan i full gång men det är fortfarande många delar av Nybro stads offentliga miljöer som är slitna, omoderna, av väldigt blandade karaktärer och i stort behov av en uppfräschning och uppstramning. Den fysiska avgränsningen för mitt arbete är Nybro stad men framförallt stadsdelen Centrum och stadens mest offentliga miljöer. Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att ta fram ett förslag till ett stadsmiljöprogram för Nybro stad med förslag på åtgärder som kan genomföras för att få attraktivare offentliga miljöer i stadskärnan utifrån de förutsättningar, kvalitéer och brister som finns idag. Efter en sammanfattning av Nybro stads utveckling beskriver jag hur det ser ut i Nybro stad idag.

It has been argued that the ?War on Drugs? has done more harm than good and in some American states and a number of European countries the drug have been legalized or decriminalized. Everybody does not agree however, that legalization is the best course of action and in Sweden the emotions have sometimes run high in the discussions taking place in television shows and newspapers.The purpose of this study is to examine the image media portrays of cannabis; based on the theory that mass media is an important influence on the individual and the way in which he or she views the world. To put the result into a context the Swedish media image will be compared with the one in Denmark and Norway.

Bakgrunden till mitt val av Karlskrona som arbetsområde är ett intresse för hur förbättringar av cykelvägnätet kan öka förutsättningarna för användningen av cykeln som transportmedel i min hemstad. Karlskrona har en god potential att bli en mer aktiv cykelstad. Trots att staden har en speciellt form med sin placering på ett antal öar är den ändå väl samlad på en begränsad yta. Klimatet är bättre än för många andra cykelorter i Sverige, även om vinden är ett påtagligt inslag stora delar av året. I den teoretiska delen redogör jag för de vilkor och förutsättningar som gäller för planering av cykelvägar.

Denna uppsats har som syfte att dels undersöka människors upplevelser av otrygghet i offentliga parker och dels undersöka vilka fysiska åtgärder som medborgarna upplever ökar trygghetskänslan. Men även att undersöka om, och i så fall vilka, fysiska åtgärder som presenteras i kommunala parkprogram. Utifrån arbetets forskningsöversikt presenteras de teoretiska perspektiven, upplevelsen av otrygghet och den offentliga parken. Genom de teoretiska perspektiven förstår man vad en plats är och hur människor upplever otrygghet. De visar att våra egna erfarenheter, visioner och förutfattade meningar påverkar användningen av platsen.

 This study aims to deepen the understanding of which opinions and perceptions the teachers in the study have about the national goals, as well as local, when they plan their lessons in science studies for the younger ages. We wish to illustrate which goals these teachers find most important, their opinions on how they use these and how the different goals affect their design of teaching. The study also aims to examine which syllabuses, national or local, the teachers believe have an effect on their planning. Data were collected by interviews with four teachers, combined with questionnaires sent to 25 teachers teaching in science studies in forms 1-6. To analyse the data, key terms from Vygotsky and a sociocultural theory was used, such as situated learning, artifacts, the zone of proximal development, thinking in group and mediation. The data was also interpreted and examined by recent studies regarding this subject. The results show that the teachers find their own knowledge, the national syllabus and their colleagues as most important for their planning.

One of the distinguishing features of successful societies is the ability to adapt to change, bothsocial but also natural changes like climate change. Climate change is a complex, dynamic,non-linear process with a great deal of uncertainty concerning the time perspective, risks andconsequences. A combination of factors like climate change, geographical vulnerability, adensely populated and highly built up coast line along with factors like deficient handling ofsurface runoff and a large usage of ground water leads to an increasingly vulnerable society. Italso puts a greater pressure on the society to have preventive measures in place.The number of actors working with preparing society to the expected impacts of climatechange and variability is increasing. However more than half of Sweden?s municipalities donot consider changing climatic conditions when planning, and many times even allow theconstruction of new living areas in known climatically vulnerable areas.

Information technology (IT) with its enormous capacity involves more and more in our daily activities and public sector is using IT to make their activities more efficient. The government goal with electronic government (e-government) among other things is increasing the availability and service to the public as well as improving the democratic process. Democracy can be strengthened by involving citizens in public decision making process but this goal has not been achieved yet and the development of e-government has mostly been focused on improving efficiency within administration and electronic services (e-services). Promoting the democratic process has been postponed in the development of e-government because of the lack of political commitment and decision. Digital divide is also preventing public sector to promote democracy with the support of IT.

Denna uppsats syftar till att bidra med en bättre förståelse för hur uppföljning och utvärdering av översiktsplanen sker i praktiken. Vidare är syftet att föra en diskussion kring hur utvärderingen kan utvecklas. För att undersöka detta väljs Sveriges tre största kommuner (Stockholm, Göteborg och Malmö) ut, eftersom de har en ledande roll i svensk planering och troligtvis har mest resurser att tillgå för att bedriva utvärdering. Följande problemformulering används för att ta reda på syftet: Hur tillämpas uppföljning och utvärdering av översiktsplanen i svenska storstadskommuner? En bakgrund till vad som ingår i begreppen uppföljning och utvärdering görs inledningsvis, samt en redogörelse av olika typer av utvärdering.

The purpose was to examine relations between motivation and goal orientation, perceived ability and perceived motivational climate among persons working out in gym. Another purpose was to study differences in motivation, perceived ability and motivational climate among men and women. The final purpose was to study interactional effects on the dependent variable motivation. The participants were 59 men and 69 women. The instruments used were Task and Ego Goal Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ), Harter´s Competence scale and part of Mahoneys R-5 test.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka problematiken i strukturerna mellan bostadsbyggandets aktörer och deras förhållande till individen. Syftet är även att undersöka förutsättningar för bostadsbyggande där individen själv ges möjlighet att planera och bygga sin bostad. Utgångspunkten i arbetet är att undersöka individens möjligheter att skapa sitt eget boende i ett flerbostadshus. Vi ställer oss frågan och utforskar i arbetes första del varför detta inte sker i större grad i dagsläget och vad det kan bero på. Utifrån ett teoretiskt angreppssätt som utgår ifrån strukturers påverkan och aktörers handlingar i samhället undersöker vi strukturerna fysisk planering och bostadsbyggande. Här presenteras även olika ämnen som behandlar individen och dess förhållande till boendet och påverkan inom stadsbyggande. I arbetets empiriska del undersöks byggemenskaper, vilket innebär att individer tillsammans går ihop och i egen regi planerar, bygger och förvaltar en bostad.

Ronneby kommun har år 2009 antagit en ny profil, Den moderna kurorten, som ska förtydliga vad kommunen har att erbjuda och vilka mål den sätter för framtiden. Detta arbete syftar till att söka svar på om denna nyantagna profil och vad den står för har speglat av sig i kommunens fysiska planering. Detta görs genom att söka upp kommunala dokument med uttalade kopplingar till denna profil. Profilens betydelse kommer sedan att analyseras för att sedan jämföras med fallstudiernas åtgärder. På så sätt kan arbetet hitta kopplingar mellan den aktuella fysiska planeringen och kommunens profil och därmed avgöra om Den moderna kurorten har satt spår i planeringen. Arbetet kommer även undersöka fallstudiernas möjlighet, grundat i forskning, som fungerande komponenter i Ronneby kommuns marknadsföring.

The purpose of this study is to create a method that can be used to produce decisionsupport data for the climate goals of a municipality. The method should be able to demonstrate the potential for reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions for measures aimed at the stationary energy system in the municipality. It will be used to make longterm projections of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in order to be able to demonstrate the ability to reach climate goals. The aim was also to test the method's applicability by using the municipality of Uppsala and the Uppsala climate protocol project in a case study. Uppsala climate protocol is a project consisting of participants from business, government and organizations that voluntarily want to commit to reducing their carbon footprint by reducing their energy use and thus work to achieve the municipality's overall climate goal. Public reporting of energy use and climate impact has been studied in order to examine the nature of indicators and accounting figures that are commonly used in the field and how long-term forecasts are formulated. In connection to this, the type and sources for the kind of data needed was also examined.

Service delivery acts like a process. This can enable the possibility of attracting attention towards the company who?s making use of this, furthermore generate several opportunities. However, it?s far from easy to deliver new services.

The schools have problems with conflicts and mobbing. One way to deal with this is to focus on the importance of life skills ?SET- Social emotional training?. SET is a program that encourages student?s self-awareness, that is, the understanding students have about themselves and how he or she can relate to it and to others.
