Media advertising in Europe - The issue of standardisation from both the business and legal perspective

It is clear that media advertising is one of the crucial marketing tools for companies in order to promote their products and services. As we are moving towards more and more economic integration, both on a regional and global scale, the question about standardisation of media advertising has become increasingly important and is nowadays subject to discussion in most international companies. This thesis deals with the issue of standardisation in a region where the process of political, legal and especially economic integration is taking its course, but where cultural and linguistic diversity is still a remaining fact: Europe. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the potential gains from a standardised advertising approach but also to identify its limitations. Especially on a market place like Europe, with its diverse cultural and linguistic background, a fully standardised approach might be difficult to implement.

The project started with research, in which target groups were analyzed and defined, arguments for the campaign was decided and someguiding values for the logo were defined. SAMMANFATTNINGSyftet med studien är att granska hur dagens unga i Sverige resonerar kring derasarbetsliv. Syftet förgrenas i följande frågeställningar:? Går individernas resonemang i linje med hur teorier beskriver Generation Y?? Går det, beroende på akademisk utbildning, urskilja skillnader i beskrivningenav individernas inställning till arbete utifrån teorierna om Generation Y?? Går det att ifrågasätta synen på Generation Y som en homogen grupp?? Om det går att ifrågasätta Generation Y som en homogen grupp, vad kan det isådana fall bero på?Arbetsmarknaden står inför ett generationsskifte när dagens unga nu gör entré, de såkallade Generation Y. Generation Y profileras som målmedvetna, reflexiva ochsjälvsäkra individer som vågar ställa krav i arbetslivet. Med en stark vilja attutvecklas anses de kunna bli den mest högpresterande generationen genom tiderna.Emellertid menar kritiker att det finns en svårighet i att beskriva generationen som enenhetlig grupp.

Värdeskapande i Leveraged Buyouts i jämförelse med noterade företag

The purpose of this thesis is to study the difference in value generation and its drivers between leveraged buyouts and listed companies. The primary objective is to observe if differences exist. A secondary objective is to understand the differences and attempt to provide an explanation based on earlier research on Private Equity. A selection of large Swedish LBO-transactions, carried out between 1998 and 2012, are analyzed and their value generation drivers subject to comparison with a weighted index of companies listed on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm. A clear difference in value creation is observed, both in size and composition.

90-talistens arbetsvärderingar. En studie om framtidens svenska arbetskraft.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att bidra med en utökad kunskap kring generation Y, som definieras som bestående av 80- och 90-talister, och deras arbetsvärderingar. Genom att undersöka vilka arbetsvärderingar svenska 80- och 90-talister besitter diskuteras begreppet generation Y och om dessa båda grupper kan betraktas som enhetliga gällande arbetsvärderingar. En enkätundersökning genomfördes bland svenska högskolestudenter. Utifrån resultatet av denna samt ett teoretiskt underlag har vi gett förklaringar till 90-talisternas syn på arbetsvärderingar. Denna syn har sedan jämförts med enkätresultatet med avseende på 80-talister för att därefter jämföras med tidigare kunskap om 80-talisternas arbetsvärderingar. Slutligen har innebörden av jämförelsen diskuterats med avseende på generationsbegreppet utifrån tidigare forskning. Efter genomförd studie kan vi konstatera att det är de inre arbetsvärderingarna som värderas högst av generation Y, följt av de yttre och de frihetsrelaterade.

Rekrytering är en viktig komponent för alla organisationer oavsett om det handlar om ett företag, ett fotbollslag, en sekt eller dylikt. Det är i grund och botten rekrytering som skapar en organisation. Ledare är viktiga personer för ett företag, det är de som sammanfogar de anställda, driver företaget framåt och utgör stommen i en organisation. Vi har valt att sammanfoga dessa två genom att undersöka hur företag rekryterar ledare genom platsannonser; dess utformning och hur de har utvecklats över de senaste tio åren. Utifrån befintlig rekryteringsteori har vi, för att underlätta en kvantifiering av platsannonserna, utformat en analysmodell som kategoriserar den teoretiska utvecklingen i tre olika generationer.

Honeycomb & path generation : En struktur för en ständigt växande karta ochgenerell generation av slumpmässiga vägar

Ett spels karta är begränsande i det att när man valt en viss storlek kan man inte gå utanför den ramen utan att göra relativt resurskrävande operationer. Denna undersökning genomfördes för att se om en trädstruktur kan användas som lösning att hantera en honeycomb-struktur på ett lämpligt sätt för att ständigt kunna utöka ett spels karta. Resultatet visar att det är möjligt att använda trädstrukturen relativt bra till växande kartor men att det inte är att rekommendera till spel, eftersom strukturen i sig är en omväg. I samband med denna karta skapades en slumpmässig path-generator som skulle kunna användas till att generellt skapa slumpmässiga kartor i spel. För att se vad försvårigheter man stöter på när man utvecklar en slumpad map-generator, vilket visade sig vara svårt i och med att man hittade många specialfall..

Mobile telecom and the Internet are converging, which opens new possibilities for market actors to create business through the mobile handset. At the same time market experts are predicting that mobile operator?s existing dominance in the telecom market will in the future decline as new technology such as VoIP and services will erode the operator?s traditional revenue model. This implies that mobile operators will need to rethink their dominant business logic to create new value for their customers. Mobile operators are aiming to expand their existing revenue model through advertising in the mobile handset and are searching to create new business models that evolve advertising sales.

Kulturell Globalisering : en litteraturstudie

Today we are living in a time were impulses from other places and cultures constantly grow and the contact over the boundary is getting bigger. We se satellites pictures over the world, we hear about worldwide ecological problems, we learn about other different lifestyles, we cock food that are inspired from the worlds many kitchens, we shop more and we can travel to different parts of the world. My problem was to find out how cultural phenomenon spreads to a greater extent global and how this transference take place, but also be able to se what factors that has a part in the cultural spread.What I found with help from my literature study was that trough improved communication and transports has gained mobility in the world and people can take part off others culture.The world is shrinking and this means that human beings identity is changing and this create a so-called hybrid mixture. Culture is what we human beings create. Culture can be seen as a community phenomenon for the most parts.
