AbstractThe genetic diversity in cultural plants is considered to be threatened due to global climate change and antropogenic influence. Unknowing of future conditions for cultivation, gene banks all over the world are now trying to build up costly safety nets of species and varieties that may become highly valuable owing to their specific traits and genetic heredity. Hence, in 2002 there was a national inventory, aimed at the Swedish public, asking for seeds believed to be lost. Among the resulting collected seeds were some accessions of garden bean, Phaseolus vulgaris. The objective of this particular study was to assemble a collection of unique varieties and discard possible duplicates.

In urban planning and design today interventions tend to take place in already existing areas and inevitably effect also surrounding areas. The many parties involved in any change leads to a demand for a shared language around these areas. This thesis aim to, through understanding and communicating a site, Stora Södergatan in Lund Sweden, inspire to a novel way of looking at an urban site preceding design- or planning interventions. Based on a theoretical framework where site is considered as a relational construct, material as well as immaterial, a framework for site thinking is constructed. Further, with theory of representation, the communication of the site is emphasized and accounted for as part of the framework.

For Skattkärr IF a turf field with warming has been projected to increase field?s utilization hours and to have a longer period for athletes to perform their activities outdoors. The technique chosen to heat the plan is a type of a geothermal heating system without a heat pump. The brine, which is water with 30% ethanol, collects heat from the borehole and discharges it to a coil in the field. There is at position 11 boreholes but it is planned to increase the number to 31, which is the design for the facility.

SAMMANFATTNING För att få fram en prognos när ett djur uppsöker vård finns det idag olika metoder. Inga är dock perfekta och därför forskas det på biomarkörer som ska kunna berätta mer om en individs allmäntillstånd. En biomarkör ska objektivt fungera som en indikator för normala biologiska processer, patogena processer eller farmakologiska responser efter en terapeutisk åtgärd. Chromogranin A (CgA) är en molekyl vars egenskaper och funktion undersökts mycket, bland annat dess potential som biomarkör vid olika tillstånd. Få djurstudier finns men humanstudier demonstrerar att CgA-koncentrationer exempelvis ökar vid olika sjukdomstillstånd; såsom hjärtsjukdomar, brännskador och hos patienter med neuroendokrina tumörer.

Heat, clock scew and frequency optimization are some of the problems a semiconductor designer must face. By splitting a synchrounous block into multiple pieces which comunicates asynchronously with eachother and provide them with independent clocks, these problems may be reduced. GALS (Global Asynchronous Local Synchronous) is a wrapper that wraps a synchronous block and provides it with a clock. Multiple GALS-elements will make the whole system. The clockfrequency may be independently adjusted between each block.

Increased resource efficiency in an energy system could result in large economic and environmental benefits. Tekniska verken i Linköping AB (Tekniska verken) is responsible for the district heating network in Linköping. Their vision is to create the world?s most resource efficient region. An important step towards this vision is more efficient usage of produced heat, something which could be achieved through integration of a seasonal heat storage in the energy system.

Fossil fuels are affecting our climate negatively and there is a limited amount of them in the world, which leads to the importance of finding alternative fuels. One alternative is biogas, which is produced though a digestion process of different organic materials in a biogasreactor. Organic substrate that comes from farms has the biggest potential to increase the production of biogas in Sweden. Primarily crops from farms, but also waste products like manure are of great importance.Today there is a calculated theoretical potential for biogasproduction of 14TWh per year, which is around ten times larger than Sweden?s production today.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur den som skapar teologi påverkas av det som antas vara inspirerad skrift. Jag har undersökt hur Thomas av Aquino ser på den växande processen hos en person som studerar inspirerad skrift. Jag har även studerat vad målet är med att studera teologi, och Aquinos syn på sanning, kärlek och att uppnå full potential som människa. I uppsatsen har jag utgått ifrån en teori, dels framställd av teologen Mark A. McIntosh i boken Divine Teaching.

Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur välgörenhetsorganisationer idag använder sig av sociala medier i sitt externakommunikationsarbete. Resultatet visar på att välgörenhetsorganisationer inte användersociala medier till dess fulla potential. Det främsta syftet föranvändningen av sociala medier är fortfarande främst att spridainformation och organisationens budskap. .

Byggbranschen har på senare tid, som ett led i att sänka kostnaderna och öka marginalerna, uppmärksammat besparingspotentialen i att arbeta mer aktivt med inköp. Syftet med uppsatsen innebär att hitta en rad mått, både på för den strategiska inköpsfunktionen på koncernnivå och i inköpsfunktionen i Skanska Sverige, som kan beskriva inköpsfunktionens prestationer. In Sweden there are about 4 million hectares of bare peat (mire). This land has great potential to be transformed into productive forest land, provided drainage is carried out and, in some cases, even fertilization with ashes. Drainage of mires is necessary because the high groundwater table prevents trees from growing due to reduced oxygen availability. Some of the key nutrients that trees need to grow appear in too small quantities in mires, especially potassium (K) and phosphorus (P). Ash from the combustion of biomass contains these elements and is therefore suitable as a fertilizer.
