The global Positioning System (GPS) provides location and time information as long as there are unobstructed lines of sight to four or more GPS satellites. However, when this is not the case the signal may be inaccurate or sometimes even completely blocked. In these situations the Inertial Navigation System (INS) is an appropriate choice for positioning.  An INS has already been proposed in a previous thesis by Erik Andersson and the objective of this thesis is to fuse the GPS with the INS in a proper way. A part of this project is to decide the reliability of the GPS.Three methods for GPS reliability detection have been proposed. One method based on the statistical properties of each of the separate systems, and two methods based on the statistical properties of the residuals between the GPS and INS.

Hållbar utveckling är en viktig fråga för samhället där företag har en betydande roll vad gäller arbetet med att möta framtida utmaningar. Miljöpåverkan, fattigdom och finansiella kriser är några problem som samhället, företag och konsumenter blivit medvetna om och tillsammans kan göra en insats för. Företag är stora aktörer runt om i världen och därför är det viktigt ta ansvar, varför studien ämnar uppmärksamma insatser företag gör.Ett hjälpmedel för att mäta och kommunicera hållbar utveckling är riktlinjerna som Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) bistår med. I Sverige är det ännu endast lagstadgat för statliga bolag att redovisa sitt hållbarhetsarbete. Trots detta är tillämpningen av dessa riktlinjer bland svenska börsnoterade företag hela 91 procent.

Our society has become more and more digitalized and we have access to more information than ever before, which has had an effect on both our personal and professional lives. This change has naturally also changed the way in which organizations are structured and how they communicate ? both internally and externally. Intranets, e-mail and other technical channels are an important part of most organizations in-house communication today.The aim of this study is to examine how the internal communication in a medium-sized firm, CranabSlagkraft in the north of Sweden, works. The focus in the study is on the existing intranet, and if there are any differences in the opinions between the firms leaders and the employees that works in the production.

The aim of this study was to examine differences between happy and unhappy people, with respect to individuals interpretations, their attributonal style and in what way the priming effect is related to their attributional style and well-being. The participants were 74 senior high school and 21 undergraduate college students. Participants were asked to read a short story, some words were in bold type, and thereafter for their subjective perception of the words in bold type loading and memory of them in a recognition list. Attributional style was operationalized with an own constructed instrument. The results show that happy individuals interpreted more words as positive than negative in comparission with unhappy individuals.

By using open interviews we have been able to get an open dialog with our respondents.Theory: We have compared with different theories, such as Rombach?s budget-theory and Wildavsky?s role theory.Empirics: The material is based on interviews and conversations with key figures in different levels of the organisations in Landskrona and Kristianstad.Conclusions: The success of a cost-saving process depends on the engagement, awareness and how inclined to changes the persons in the organisations are. Has everybody the willingness to take responsibility fore the organisation and the changes that the surrounding world claims?.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att se hur kultur påverkar strategiutveckling för ett internationellt företag. Vi vill åskådliggöra kopplingen mellan kultur och strategi och hur denna koppling påverkar det internationellt verksamma företagets agerande och dess strategiutveckling. Vi har valt att skapa en modell som beskriver hur kulturella skillnader påverkar ett företags internationella strategiutveckling. För att verifiera modellen, valde vi att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie och illustrera modellen med hjälp av Pharmacia och dess globala varumärke Nicorette. Den internationella marknaden blir allt mer homogen, men trots det krävs anpassningar till de kulturella skillnader som råder.

A decision has been made that the Swedish and the Finnish Navy will expand their cooperation by creating the ?Swedish-Finnish Naval Task Group? (SFNTG).Based on Michael Codner?s theory of interoperability, this essay?s aim is to investigate if the Swedish and the Finnish currently are interoperable with each other, due to their military strategic concepts.According to Codner, similarities between the cooperating nation?s military strategic concepts are required in order to reach a high degree of interoperability. This essay will analyze and compare Sweden and Finland?s military strategic concepts, based on three categories; Global Projection, Territorial Defence and Combat Capability.The conclusion is that there are differences between the Swedish and the Finnish military strategic concepts in every category, of varying degrees. By looking at the results of this investigation, it is clear in what direction the two nations have to adapt their concepts to enable a high degree of interoperability for the future of the SFNTG..

Syfte: Att undersöka identitetsuppbyggnaden hos framgångsrika, globala organisationsvarumärken och hur denna identitet kommuniceras till kunderna. Metod: Uppsatsen är skriven på uppdrag av Gambro. Vi har valt att göra en kvalitativ, jämförande studie av sju fallföretag verksamma inom hälsovårdsbranschen, alla med framgångsrika, globala organisationsvarumärken. Den teoretiska ramen utgörs av en syntes mellan konsument- och organisationsvarumärkesteori. Slutsatser: (1) Identifikation av fem identitetskomponenter och tre kommunikationskomponenter ingående i globala organisationsvarumärken.

As a forest owner you always have to consider hazards and uncertainty when planning your forestry actions. The aim with this report is to test my hypothesis that there is an overall difference between men and women when it comes to perception, estimation and management of hazards/risks in forestry. I will look into if there are differences in how men and women estimate risks in production forestry from an economical point of view. The aim is also to look into if there are differences between male and female private forest owners, in how they perceive and manage hazards in connection with a possible climate change. To fulfil this aim, an inquiry survey was undertaken in three different areas of Sweden, two areas in the south and one in the north. But in this report I have evaluated the three areas as a whole.

This system is implemented in the European Union through the CLP-regulation and is now working parallel to the existing directives until 1st of June 2015, when all the new classifications of substances and mixtures must be completed. The aim of this project was to adjust the laboratory to the new legislation, through inventory of stored chemicals, update the list of chemicals and perform self-classifications of mixtures. The work included handling of about 650 different chemicals with varying hazard classifications and search for information in corporate websites and chemical databases. This resulted in a new and complete list of chemicals stored and used in the laboratory and, in addition, an example of how to make a self classification of a mixture.

Snabbväxande företag finns inom alla sektorer, men givetvis finns en förhållandevis större andel tillväxtföretag i branscher och sektorer där marknaden och efterfrågan växer snabbt. Varför väljer företagen inom tillverkningsindustri- och energibranschen att tillämpa frivilligt hållbarhetsarbete och tillhandahålla frivillig hållbarhetsredovisning? Vilka är deras drivkrafter? För de flesta förefaller det vara en självklarhet att det är en fråga om lönsamhet, men vilka bakomliggande faktorer kan ge en bredare förklaring till varför tillämpningen av hållbarhetsaspekterna är så pass relevanta för lönsamheten? Vi har studerat ett flertal påverkningsbara element för att ge läsaren en djupare förståelse kring varför företag arbetar med frivilliga hållbarhetsaspekter. Intressenternas, konkurrensförhållandets och enskilda kritiska händelsers påverkan är faktorer som ställts i fokus. Vidare har vi även granskat betydelsen av GRI:s riktlinjer för hållbarhetsredovisning och FN:s Global Compact innehållandes principer för en hållbar utveckling samt undersökt kopplingen mellan hållbarhetsaspekternas tillämpning och företagens vitala strävan efter livsnödvändiga resurser. Som stöd för våra resonemang har vi använt oss av fyra organisatoriska teorier, legitimitetsteorin, intressentteorin, den nyinstitutionella teorin och resursberoendeteorin.

Ny teknik hotar emellertid spelmarknadsregleringen då en ny alternativ spelmarknad etablerats på Internet. Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera den svenska marknaden för sportvadslagning samt undersöka huruvida marknaden har förändrats i och med framväxten av en global Internetspelmarknad. Metoden som används är att jämföra spelvillkoren hos Svenska Spel med två aktörer på den interaktiva spelmarknaden för att därmed söka svara på huruvida Svenska Spel tar ut ett överpris för sina produkter. Dessutom görs en jämförelse över tiden, det vill säga en analys av huruvida Svenska Spel har bemött den tilltagande konkurrensen.

This essay contains a comparative analysis of Erik Olin Wrights Marxist class analysis and Michael Hardt and Antonio Negris post-Marxist class analysis as presented in their books ?Empire? and ?Multitude: War and democracy in the age of Empire?. I discuss the shift in analytical focus from state level to global level that Hardt and Negri's analysis represent and the ensuing relevance of this for contemporary class analysis. The essay also address the challenge and implications posed to class analysis by the ever increasing economic globalization, from a material production to an ever growing immaterial service economy and the decrease in state power in controlling capital and labor movement. I propose that analytical understanding of class conflict help us to a better understanding of the mechanisms and dynamics that generate social and economical inequalities and that an updated Marxist class analysis still have much to contribute to our understanding to how these issues not only shape our society but also our capacity to counteract them..
