Studiens syfte var att undersöka samband mellan terapeuters känslor och behandlingsutfall. 27 terapier undersöktes, som ingick i forskningsprojekt på Ericastiftelsen; Erica Process and Outcome Study (EPOS) och Målprojektet. Terapeuternas känslor undersöktes med hjälp av självskattningsformuläret Feeling Word Checklist (FWC) och samband mellan skattningar och behandlingsutfall mätt med Children´s Global Assessment Scale (CGAS) undersöktes. Sex psykoterapier analyserades kvalitativt utifrån terapeuternas beskrivningar av terapin i regelbundet ifyllda formulär. Huvudresultaten visar att distans i terapins inledningsfas var förknippat med sämre utfall.

I call centers bedrivs medlyssning av telefonsamtal i syfte att kontrollera, övervaka, utbilda och utveckla telefonsäljare. Åtta telefonsäljare deltog i reflexiva intervjuer om upplevelser av medlyssning i utgående telefonförsäljning. Det utkristalliserades fyra teman angående hur telefonsäljare vill att medlyssning ska gå till samt vad telefonsäljare upplever som främjande respektive hämmande i medlyssningssituationen: Organisatoriska förutsättningar vilket innefattar coachernas arbetssituation samt uppläggningen av säljproceduren; Coachens stil där hjälpande och stödjande kontrasteras mot kontrollerande och värderande; Coachens explicita kunskap inom produkt, marknad och försäljningsteori; Ramar vilket omfattar de yttre formerna för medlyssning. Slutligen diskuteras hur uppdragsgivare inom telemarketing kan påverka förutsättningarna för medlyssning, hur säljorganisationer kan bidra till en dynamisk lärmiljö och hur coacher kan beakta principer för ett erfarenhetsbaserat lärande. Framtida forskning kan inriktas på att ta fram best practice inom medlyssning..

Teknisk komplicerade produkter såsom datorer, digitalkameror och mobiltelefoner har blivit en del av vardagen, vilket även har breddat gruppen av konsumenter. Detta betyder att tillverkare och försäljare har en större marknad att rikta sig till och att man måste anpassa och ändra sina vanor för hur man presenterar produkterna. Många av de nya konsumenterna är inte intresserade av teknisk information utan är mer intresserade av funktionen hos produkterna. Studien undersöker kvalitet och kvantitet av information och försöker utreda hur graden av informationsöverlastning påverkas när dessa förändras. Genom att förändra antalet attribut och mängden komplicerad information mäts urvalskvalitet och urvalseffektivitet samt subjektiva gensvar hos försökspersonerna.

This thesis aimed to investigate how a rising sea level would affect the livable area of the island Fongafale, Tuvalu. Through the IPCC stabilization scenarios it was examined which areas of the island that would be affected by flooding. The local population?s perceptions of the effects of climate change were studied to see how the consequences of a world-wide problem such as global warming affect people's lives. The paper clarified the Tuvaluans place in the discussion of climate refugees, explained IPCC's work and described the results of previous studies concerning people in Fongafales perceptions and concerns about climate-related changes.

Konkurrens och hur den påverkar företaget kan skilja sig beroende på bransch och vilket typ av marknad som företaget befinner sig på. Hur ett företag väljer att jobba med konkurrens och kampen om kunderna är en bidragande faktor till företagens resultat. Vidare är konkurrens något som bidrar till att driva utvecklingen framåt eftersom det uppmanar företagen till att sträva mot att ständigt ligga i framkant för att bli nummer ett i kundernas ögon. En bransch där kampen om kunderna har tilltagit de senaste åren är inom byggsektorn och mer specifikt bland återförsäljarna av byggmaterial. I takt med att stora utländska kedjor har etablerat sig i många svenska städer, har redan existerande företag börjat känna av den ökade konkurrensen.

During the last decade working with competence has emerged as a more strategically important area. Today the human resources in a company are considered a competitive advance and the HR-units play a significant role when it comes to HR-management. Different motives for investing in strategies that promote competence development and learning also exist. The purpose of this paper was to examine how the process of competence development was managed at a large global company. The empirical material consisted of four persons who were interviewed and the analysis of the material was inspired by grounded theory.From the analysis four major themes or core factors emerged as central to the interviewed persons' understanding of the competence development process; solid preparatory work in relation to competence development, communication, awareness of responsibilities and finally the taking action and evaluation of the action.

Många företag i olika branscher har idag kompletterat sin ordinarie försäljning med försäljning via Internet. En av dessa branscher är dagligvarubranschen som vi har valt att undersöka. Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur butiker som säljer livsmedel via Internet har löst det nya försäljningssättet gällande de nya arbetsuppgifter som tillkommer. Vidare har vi undersökt butikernas syfte med att börja sälja livsmedel via Internet, samt vad de ser för fördelar.

Global climate change is one of the greatest challenges in our history. As the average temperature is rising due to anthropogenic emissions, impacts such as floods, droughts and hurricanes, affect the lives of millions of people. Though the least developed countries are least responsible for emissions, they are the worst affected. This thesis focuses on environmental justice in the adaptation discourse. By outlining the adaptation discourse from the United Framework Convention on Climate Change principles, to the Marrakesh Accords, via the Kyotoprotocol my ambition is to analyse how environmental justice has been interpreted in relation to the adaptation discourse.

This essay seeks to analyze the consequences of modern information and communication technology for collective action within the framework of social movements. With references to the protests in Seattle 1999, the essay argues that the emergence of distributed collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet. This distributed collective action can be characterized by its decentralized and self-organizing features, forming a global pattern emerging from local interactions. Whereas contemporary theories of collective action can be ´stretched´ to fit these aspects, they lack analytical tools to describe and analyze such systems. Further, their rejection of classical crowd theory is problematic, since it contains valuable insights.

In southern Sweden, beech (Fagus silvatica) and spruce (Picea abies) are two species with similar demands on soil properties. With increased global warming and high acid deposition the future may bring larger areas were the two species are overlapping, competing for the same soil. The aim of this study was to compare spruce and beech concerning distribution, cultivation and soil properties. From available data comparisons were made between spruce and beech forests in Sweden. Soil analyses were made on samples from beech forest in southern Sweden, with and without natural regeneration of spruce.

I takt med en ökad internationalisering och hårdnad global konkurrens ställs större krav på morgondagens entreprenörer. I Uppsala kommun har den omfattande kapaciteten inom utbildning och forskning uppfattats som ett särskilt viktigt verktyg för att möta dessa utmaningar, varför studiens fokus riktas på hur de entreprenörskapsfrämjande aktörerna som existerar kring Uppsala universitet tillsammans verkar för att skapa förutsättningar för studenter och forskare. Syftet med denna uppsats är således att erhålla en så pass heltäckande bild som möjligt av detta nätverk av relationer för att sedan kunna analysera hur dessa kan vidareutvecklas. För att besvara detta syfte har en kvalitativ fallstudie genomförts, där studien primärt fokuserade på fyra aktörer som ansågs vara särskilt vitala. Studiens resultat visar på att det finns goda möjligheter för vidareutveckling genom bland annat ökade resurs- och aktivitetsutbyten mellan olika aktörer..

ITT Water & Wastewater ställer höga krav på kostnadseffektiv produktion vilket är en starkt bidragande orsak till att företaget är världsledande på sin marknad. För att erhålla kostnadseffektiv produktion har kombinationen människa robot visat sig vara framgångsrik.Examensarbetets syfte var att ta fram underlag åt ITT Water & Wastewater för att ta beslut om frigörande av indirekt personal vid line 15:s isoleringsstation på Elmotorverkstaden. Syftets uppfyllande stöttades av de underbyggande syftena att försöka höja robotens utnyttjandegrad samt reducera isoleringsmaskinens omställningstid.Arbetet bygger på kvalitativa och kvantitativa data i form av mätningar, intervjuer och egna observationer. Med stöd av erhållen data lyftes fyra olika förslag fram. Förslagen understryktes bland annat av integrering av arbetsmoment, förhöjd automatiseringsgrad och outsourcing..

Eleven years after broking the Kyoto-protocol, the European Union still stands in the front line, combating climate change. How come the EU, with 27 diversified states, is able to integrate its members to what is widely considered the most progressive climate policy in the world? This thesis takes a closer look at the negotiations that have shaped EU climate policy. Using negotiation-models to categorize different aspects of EU climatenegotiations, several key-findings are presented. The thesis concludes that while EU entered the Kyoto-protocol with little to lose because of external factors like previous energy-reforms in key member countries, it had plenty to win in global influence and the satisfaction of an overwhelmingly Kyoto-positive public.

This is a qualitative case study of young womens? experiences of blogging about One Direction on the social media/microblogging platform Tumblr. The aim of this study was to find out what fan blogging is and why fans blog. We did this by creating an account on Tumblr where we invited young women between the ages of 16?29, who had active fan blogs dedicated to One Direction, to answer an open-ended questionnaire.

The amount of information stored on the internet grows daily and naturally the requirements on the systems used to search for and analyse information increases. As a part in meeting the raised requirements this study investigates if it is possible for a automatised text analysis system to distinguish certain groups and categories of words in a text, and more specifically investigate if it is possible to distinguish words with a high information value from words with a low information value. This is important to enable optimizations of systems for global surveillance and information retrieval. The study is carried out using word spaces, which are often used in text analysis to model language. The distributional character of certain categories of words is examined by studying the intrinsic dimensionality of the space, locally around different words.
