As most of the buildings in the future have already been constructed it´s important to take every opportunity for energy efficiency and rebuilding of available buildings will become a significant act. Reconstruction of a building contributes generally to both a reduced individual and a reduced total energy use, while new constructions only keep a low individual energy use but a increase the total energy use. Abstract The growth of supra-national organizations, such as the European Union, has been a recent trend in today?s global environment, which has challenged traditional marketing concepts and product cues. One such cue that is significantly challenged is the 'origin cue'. An origin cue is conceived to be a socially constructed notion that consumers use to discern where goods come from and to accordingly evaluate products with. The origin cue is often predominantly materialized in the public sphere by a 'made in' labelling scheme.

Vi är på väg in i ett nytt samhälle, det postindustriella samhället även kallat informationssamhället. Ett av kännetecknen för detta samhälle är vad vi kallar globalisering, avstånden krymper och nationernas betydelse minskar. En avgörande effekt på denna omvandling har informationstekniken, IT haft. En av de viktigaste möjligheterna som IT öppnar är den gränslösa kommunikationen. Denna är en av de starkast bidragande orsakerna till globaliseringen.

Beskattning spelar allt större roll i människors migrationsbeslut. Flera länder har infört skattelättnader för vissa kategorier av utländska arbetstagare i syfte att göra sig mer attraktiva för kvalificerad utländsk arbetskraft. År 2000 införde Sverige skattelättnader för utländska experter, forskare och nyckelpersoner, den s.k. expertskatten. Syftet med reglerna om expertbeskattning är att Sverige ska kunna attrahera kvalificerad utländsk personal och därmed stärka Sveriges internationella konkurrensförmåga genom att främja forskning och produktutveckling.

GCM is a product information management system which handles data for consumer packaged goods. GCM was developed during the middle of the nineties and was acquired by Prevas AB in 2004. The GCM application relies on the services provided by the organization GS1, which supplies global specifications and validations for trade items across several sectors. GCM is updated regularly due to the frequent changes in specifications from GS1. However, the overall graphical user interface design has not been redesigned during these years.This dissertation studies possible improvements for the webpage that handles product data in GCM.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the retrieval effectiveness on the European Unions official website EUROPA, depending on which language is used to formulate the search question. Our main concern were if you get access to the same information depending on which language is used to search information The European Union has so far eleven official languages, and with the forthcoming expansion with negotiations with thirteen new countries to affiliate to the union by May 1:st 2004, the official languages will be even more. We have made a comparison between Swedish and English, using 29 different topics from which we formulated 2x29 queries. The topics used were found at the Swedish Governments FAQ about the European Union, EUsvar. We wanted the topics to be as authentic as possible to avoid bias.

Globalisering har idag blivit ett centralt begrepp över hela världen, med bakgrund avatt takten i handelsutbyten mellan länder har ökat dramatiskt på senare tid, i kombination med minskade handelshinder. Idag exporterar svenska företag varor och tjänster till den internationella marknaden, som motsvarar ett värde av halva Sveriges BNP. Att fler SMF i Sverige internationaliserar sig medför inte enbart möjligheter utan kan också innebära vissa svårigheter. En ökad ekonomisk integration bland världens företag och utökade globala värdekedjor. Detta innebär att händelser som utspelas på utländska marknaden medför konsekvenser för svenska företag.

Bakgrund: De första Internetbaserade butikerna öppnade i mitten av 1990-talet och Internethandeln har sedan dess vuxit kraftigt. Den snabba tekniska utvecklingen har gjort att många svenska små e-handelsföretag har kunnat ta steget ut på en global marknad. Dock uppger hälften av alla svenska e-handlare att konkurrensen från utlandet har ökat på den svenska e-handelsmarknaden på grund av att e-handeln blivit allt mer global.Syfte: Vårt syfte är att undersöka och skapa förståelse för hur små e-handelsföretag arbetar för att kunna konkurrera på marknaden. Speciellt med tanke på att allt fler aktörer vill ta del av den stora andel kunder som Internets globalisering har medfört.Metod: Uppsatsen har en induktiv ansats och grundar sig i en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Vi har genomfört sex stycken intervjuer med personer som arbetar och driver en e-handel på Internet.

I have in this project restricted me to establish a environmental impact assessment and a consultation foundation. To make a environmental impact assessment is the big part of the application. The environmental impact assessment take a lot of time and you need skills for all the rules in the environmental code to be abele to make an environmental impact assessment approved. The environment codes purposes (1 kap 1 § Miljöbalken) is to rule the laws. The purpose of the environment code is to promote sustainable development which will assure a healthy and sound environment for present and future generations. Definitions of a ?environmentally hazardous activities? 9 kap 1§ Miljöbalken) shall mean the discharges of wastewater, solid matter or gas from land, buildings or structures onto land or into water areas or ground water.

Till följd av flera uppmärksammade bolagsskandaler har frågor om bolagsstyrning fått ökad aktualitet på global nivå. Många länder har därför börjat använda sig av regelsamlingar för bolagsstyrning, så kallade koder, för att främja förtroendet för näringslivet. Kritiken som i huvudsak handlat om brist på insyn och de skenande ersättningsnivåerna föranledde regeringen i Sverige att tillsätta den så kallade Förtroendekommissionen under ledning av förre finansministern Erik Åsbrink. Förtroendekommissionen har i sin analys av näringslivets förtroendefrågor identifierat brister i bolagsstyrning som en bidragande faktor till fler av de förtroendekritiska företeelser som uppkommit. På grund av detta framställde Förtroendekommissionen, i samverkan med ett antal organ och organisationer från näringslivet, en svensk kod för bolagsstyrning.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: This essay deals with The Swedish Red Cross Society and their work concerning strategical information and communication about HIV and AIDS in the Swedish context. In a broader sense the relation between the global and the local will be investigated and a discussion about what it means to work in an organization operating on a global arena will be held.Material/Method: This essay is based on relevant theories about culture and health communication which I have studied, selected and put together, with purpose to analyse The Swedish Red Cross Society and their informational work with HIV and AIDS- prevention. Furthermore I have interviewed four of the organizations co- workers to collect data about their experiences in working in the Red Cross organization with this specific mission. Moreover I and my colleague Hillevi Good attended at seminars and lectures to observe activities held by the organization and to get inside information about what people working with HIV and AIDS are discussing and considering as critical issues. The study holds a qualitative approach focusing on understanding this typical case rather then generalizing facts in a larger sense.Main results: The Swedish National Society of The Red Cross has a difficult mission in their work to inform the public about HIV and AIDS, although it is the perfect organization when it comes to communication due to their well-known profile and a huge geographical spread.

Sweden is a world leader in listed private equity and ranked fifth in the world in market capitalization. The sector is attracting increasing interest from the investment community. However, the private equity industry in Sweden has historically poor reputation and is criticized for creating value through high leverage, multiple riding and severe cuts. This study analyzes value creation drivers in buyouts from the perspective of the private equity firm using a dataset of 15 realized buyouts by private equity firms listed on NASDAQ OMX Nordic Stockholm. The methodology used separates the value contribution of leverage on the private equity firm's return from internal operational improvements and external variations in transaction multiples.

To achieve the market requirements the underlying factor is to be aware and optimally use and control time. New technology can have a major influence in the production development, if the company choose to take benefit of the advantages, by optimal allocation of the internal resources the productivity and efficiency will increase, to accomplish a competitive advantage. One way to achieve this is by investing in a Unit Production System.In our thesis we have questioned what the main driving forces for an apparel manufacturing company is when it chooses to invest in new technology.

 Background and aim: Media development and digitalization has expanded the PR industry's working area. More participants are on the media market and it is becoming more and more difficult to define what PR really is and what the PR agencies/departments really do. Is PR marketing, information, event marketing or maybe propaganda? We believe that the complexity to define the term PR can lead to a loss of critical approach to the business, especially among young people. Has the PR industry managed to eliminate their negative image among students in upper secondary school and what do they associate with PR today? The aim of this essay is to examine what a selection of students associate with the term PR and if they are critical to the PR industry or not.Method/Material: The method is a quantitative survey.
