Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera och jämföra hur jämställdhet behandlas i trafikplaneringen i Västra Götaland på olika planeringsnivåer. Bakgrunden till valet av syfte är att jämställdhet är ett ämne som ofta glöms bort inom stadsplanering. Genom att medvetet planera och utveckla den bebyggda miljön finns möjlighet att påverka det dagliga livet för många människor, bland annat genom att möjliggöra för jämställdhet. Jämställdhetsarbete är ett demokratiskt arbete som stärker mänskliga värden och jämlika förhållanden, vilket visar vikten av att arbeta för att uppnå ett samhälle där män och kvinnor har lika värde. I trafikpolitiska mål är jämställdhet ett område som har lyfts upp starkt under senare tid och intresset för jämställdhet inom transportsektorn ökar. 2001 förstärktes jämställdhetsperspektivet i de transportpolitiska målen.

This project aims to explore fear of violence in public places. Fear of violence reminds us that there is a problem in our urban environment that leads to spatial consequences in using public space. Many groups in our society experience fear in their everyday life but this project has focus on women?s fear.

My aim with this essay is to examine the relationship between identity positions and spatial positions in Jean Rhys novel Wide Sargasso Sea (1966). Through this I wish to show how Wide Sargasso Sea problematize the analytical cathegory "women", as well as classic western canon, and feministic eurocentric readings of the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte to which Wide Sargasso Sea correspond..

The purpose of this thesis was to increase the understanding and discuss safety aspects in two stairwells on Nyforsgatan in Eskilstuna, where the buildings were built during the years 1965-1975. I have presented a proposal for improvement through lighting. I have through different methods, such as surveys, interviews, literature studies and observations, come to a conclusion: that there are opportunities for improvement through better lighting that allows orientation in space and creates a nice atmosphere which will remove the feeling of not being safe, e.g. dark corners and shadows. It has been an exciting process to gather enough of facts to rely on and to develop the lighting design for the environments.

The driving forces from the forest owners point-of-view was studied on a market where several buyers attend to procure round-wood. It was concluded that forest owners prefer personal contacts to other means of communication, but that it is essential that the initial contact is a personal letter on paper. The way you address people is depending on the existing culture, to be on familiar terms with people you don?t know or elderly people is totally unacceptable in some cultures. Some behaviour might be acceptable in one culture, and unacceptable in another. Culture exists on different levels in the society, and what combines people within a culture are that they share the same norms and values.This study identifies and deals with the resemblances and the differences in the customer relationship within one specific organization with activity in several different countries. Two of these countries, which can be seen as each others cultural contrasts, were chosen for the study, Sweden and Spain.

This study has investigated what makes a business relation satisfactory. The purpose is to distinguish the factors that are relevant to a functioning cooperation relationship between sawmills and DIY-stores. The theoretical framework is primarily based on long-term business relationships. The study is based on two case companies and their relations with wood-suppliers. - Case company 1 is a relatively new established and still growing company.

PR appears to be an indistinct division and a complicated resource for companies to value. The current circumstances are negative to the credibility and reliability of PR. This study emphasizes how an application of return on investment contributes to a more strategic use of PR and increases the status and credibility for the division.We experience that measuring the economic value of PR is of great importance and of current interest with few prior studies made. The purpose of this study is to find out how a PR-agency and one of its clients relates to and works with evaluation of PR-activities and to which extent the economic contribution of the activity is measured.The foundation which the theoretical reference grounds on is theories of Delusions of PR and the use of benefit-cost analyzes, Stages and Levels for Evaluating Public Relations Programs, Marketing Return on Investment and PR Return on Investment. The theoretical reference serves as a base during the analyze of the study.The conclusion, based on the empirical body of information, is that an application of return on investment could contribute with a higher status and credibility for the PR-division.

The purpose of our study is to examine what risk factors can contribute to a child/youth with neuropsychiatric disorders developing an addiction to drugs. We also wanted to find out what protective factors can contribute not to develop an addiction. In order to find out these two different aspects we interviewed twelve professionals to get their view upon the matter. The professionals work within different sectors such as school, healthcare, social services and one of the interviewed is a member of an organization that specialises in neuropsychiatric disorders.When analysing our result of the interviews we used Bronnfenbrenner´s theory on the ecology of human development. What we found was that there are significant risk factors and protective factors on different levels of the child's environment.On the first level, the microsystem, interpersonal relations have an impact on the child's development.

Syfte: Vårt syfte med föreliggande arbete är att undersöka, såväl teoretiskt som praktiskt vilken roll IR spelar på den svenska aktiemarknaden. Vi vill öka förståelsen för dess roll på aktiemarknaden och vi bör kunna dra slutsatser om hur informationen används och vilket värde den tillmäts av mottagare och av givare. Metod: Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie som framför allt bygger på information från en enkät skickad till investerare samt djupintervjuer med företagsledare. Vi använder också data från IR-symposium 2002. Utifrån teorier analyseras sedan det empiriska materialet.

AbstractIT can facilitate communication among individuals and connect people across geographical distances. On the contrary, citizens of the society who do not use communication technologies to some extent might feel excluded from the information society. As elderly citizens are already in a vulnerable position for the digital divide, communication technology becomes an important tool for interacting with friends and family. The social situation of elderly, 60 years of age and older, is a topic of current interest since they are the fastest growing age group in the world today. Further, social interaction becomes more important among elderly since it has a positive effect on well- being.

Under en tidigare analys av dialogen kring och detaljplanen för ett stadsförnyelseprojekt i Göteborg, vilken jag gjorde i samband med mitt kandidatarbete, blev det tydligt för mig att nyckelorden som används har olika betydelse för olika aktörer. Efter att nyckelorden, eller trendbegreppen som jag har valt att kalla dem, beskrivits i översiktsplaner och stadsbyggnadsdebatt finns det fortfarande ett stort tolkningsutrymme, vilket gör att trendbegreppens motsvarigheter i de fysiska planerna kan se mycket olika ut. Vilka begrepp som används har betydelse för stadsutvecklingen och avslöjar vilka ideal som är framträdande. Syftet med rapporten har varit att undersöka vilka nyckelord/ trendbegrepp som används inom svensk stadsbyggnadsdebatt och projekt idag, samt att utreda begreppens samband med svensk nutida planering. För att uppnå syftet har följande tillvägagångssätt använts: ? Beskrivning av de två tydligaste motpolerna, som jag tyckt mig urskilja i det insamlade materialet; ?den traditionella, europeiska staden? och modernismens/miljonprogrammets planer.

Rastplatser är något många tar förgivet, de bara finns där längs vägarna med jämna mellanrum. Tyvärr stämmer inte det i hela Sverige. Södra Sverige har ett bra nätverk med rastplatser som kommer med bra mellanrum. Från Gävle och norrut finns det tyvärr en helt annan bild. På rastplatskartan från 2010 ser man tydligt att rastplatserna blir färre och färre ju längre norr ut man kommer.

Nybro är en stad i ?Glasriket? i Småland, tillhörande Kalmar län. 2004 antogs en Fördjupad översiktsplan för Nybro stad med övergripande riktlinjer för stadens utveckling men ett mer detaljerat stadsmiljöprogram med analys och förslag till riktlinjer för utveckling av stadens offentliga rum finns inte. Arbetet med att utveckla stadens kärna är redan i full gång men det är fortfarande många delar av Nybro stads offentliga miljöer som är slitna, omoderna, av väldigt blandade karaktärer och i stort behov av en uppfräschning och uppstramning. Den fysiska avgränsningen för mitt arbete är Nybro stad men framförallt stadsdelen Centrum och stadens mest offentliga miljöer. Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att ta fram ett förslag till ett stadsmiljöprogram för Nybro stad med förslag på åtgärder som kan genomföras för att få attraktivare offentliga miljöer i stadskärnan utifrån de förutsättningar, kvalitéer och brister som finns idag. Efter en sammanfattning av Nybro stads utveckling beskriver jag hur det ser ut i Nybro stad idag.

Detta examensarbete behandlar dagens trafikproblem och den planering som vi tror krävs för att nå en hållbar utveckling. Med hållbar utveckling menar vi bl.a. ett hållbart resande ? ett resande som inte begränsar mobiliteten men som ökar möjligheterna att förflytta sig mer miljövänligt. Mer konkret vill vi att folk ska kunna lämna barnen på dagis på väg till pendelparkeringen, ta tåget/ spårvagnen/bussen till jobbet och sedan efter jobbet kunna uträtta sina ärenden, i samband med att barnen hämtas på vägen hem.
