Studie av skyddsavstånd mellan bergvärmeanläggning och skyddsobjekt i ett vattenskyddsområde
During installation and operation of a geothermal heat pump system leakage of an antifreezing agent can appear in a borehole and leak out in surrounding groundwater. To guarantee high quality drinking water for generations to come Sweden has dedicated some areas as water protection areas. The local authority gives permits for the installation of heat pump systems within water protection areas. Before giving a permit the local authority makes an evaluation of the risks involved in installation and operation of the system within the area. By keeping a certain distance between the protected object in the area and the heat pump system the risk of polluting the protected object with an anti-freezing agent can be reduced. This thesis makes a comparison between three different methods of calculating an appropriate distance between the protected object and the heat pump system.

The aim of this report is to examine factors that arise in the context of coordination at a distance and how companies, in their daily work, surpass these obstacles. The study does not include cultural differences, time zone differences and language differences, all very common in project management at distance.
Den nyliberala staden : -Ett Kalmarperspektiv
Abstract Contemporary cities find themselves today in a fierce competition against other cities over company establishment and in -migration. In this competition, the city?s main objective is to become an attractive site of capital accumulation. As this happens, the pressure on the vulnerable groups in society increases, leading to a social geographic polarization. I have examined how the shift towards neoliberalism has affected a city on the fringe as Kalmar. How is the postindustrial urban space constructed? I found this important to analyze since it put two important questions in the light: For whom, and for which purpose do we build the city today? My questions have been:v What are Kalmar municipality?s strategies to develop Kalmar?v What are the results of this strategy in the urban space?v What are the consequences of this strategy? The research has been a case study of the city of Kalmar with a qualitative deductive approach where David Harvey?s theories about the city in a capitalist system have been the underpinning structure.
Att nyttja marken 30 meter från järnvägen : hur platser, syften och miljö vävs samman
The purpose of this work is to raise ideas and interest for land that is very much forgotten, unused and neglected in terms of maintenance and usability. Railroads are often seen as adirty and loud intrusion in the landscape and therefore cities turn their backs on them. Theland around railroads is not considered useful despite its often central location and scrublandis common in these areas. The starting point of this work is the restrictions and possibilities linked to the land withinthe security distance 30 meters from the railroad center. Within this security distance thereare numerous limitations and regulations due to the nature of railroad use. These limitationsare counted for in the initial chapter and lay the foundation for the rest of the work.

What was the geographic distribution of authors and institutions and were there any patterns of collaboration?Did the image of dominating institutions and countries depend on the viewpoint? How applicable was Lotka?s law on the collected data? Delningens dolda drivkrafter: En fallstudie av Fixoteket i G?teborg
This study examines how perceived accessibility and distance decay interact with social and psychological factors in the use of local sharing initiatives. The study is conducted as a case study of Fixoteket in Gothenburg, with Fixoteket in Hammarkullen as primary focus. Through five semi-structured interviews and five participatory observations at Fixoteket in Hammarkullen, Ranneberg and Fr?lunda, this study analyses which factors function as barriers and enablers for participation, as well as what benefits the initiative generates beyond resource efficiency through sharing. The results show that social factors such as community, a sense of belonging, and social rituals around visits constitute the primary drivers for participation, while psychological barriers, related to competence, shame and digital exclusion are the most significant barriers. Distance decay proves to be a relative, rather than an absolute phenomenon, where visibility and social presence dictate the significance of physical distance.

We will show how to link from the map to traditional tools such as calculation- and register programs.

Framgång i virtuella team : Hur chefer kan motivera sina medarbetare på distans
The work place is becoming more flexible and an increasing number of employees report to a leader in another location or country. The borders between different countries, work places and cultures are diminished to a greater extent than before. Working from a distance means new opportunities in terms of competence development, flexibility in working hours, tasks and resources, a larger platform for various career opportunities and an expanded network. The purpose with this study is to examine how leaders can create a successful virtual team and motivate remotely. The qualitative study is carried out through interviews with leaders and employees within Nielsen Nordic.
Skype : En studie av faktorer som påverkar privatanvändandet av Skypes videofunktion
Our time is characterized by the development of new technologies that facilitate communication between people. The need for Video Mediated Communication (VMC) is increasing because people move to other locations due to migration and global mobility. VMC provides the opportunity for millions of people around the world to ?hang out? and see each other despite the distance in between. The world is "shrinking" because of the Internet and our perception of distance is changing.VMC is becoming increasingly available, in the form of applications like Skype and MSN for mobile phones and computers, and in addition, it?s practically free. The purpose of this thesis is to render a picture of the way in which people use Skype in the private sphere.
