Kvalitetskontroll av servicedatabasen Sisyla

Sisyla is a joint project between the counties of Skåne, Blekinge, Jönköping, Kronobergand Kalmar in Sweden. A geographic database has been built with the aim to study theservice situation of the area. The main purpose of this thesis is to find a method toinvestigate the quality of the Sisyla database and to apply it. The method is adjusted tothe standard ISO 19114. The agreement between the database and reality was studied ina test sample. A quantitative measurement of the quality in forms of a confidenceinterval of the number of objects with errors in the database is computed. Thedifferences in quality between groups of people that have been editing the databasewere studied with ?2-tests. An object was defined as incorrect if the spatial error was100 meters or more, if any of the studied attribute data was incorrect or if the object wasmissing in reality. The number of objects with an error in the database was49.3% ± 5.6% with 95% accuracy. The results also showed that data edited bymunicipalities and Sisyla project group had the best quality. Data imported from theServicedatabasen had the lowest quality. This is the first Swedish study that has appliedthe ISO 19114 standard.
