The concept of sustainable development is a challenge that demands cooperation from all levels of society for it to be successful. The focus for this thesis is how politicians within the local councils understand the concept of sustainable development and how they implement it in political decision-making.The basis for the study is a questionnaire that was distributed to 303 local politicians in three municipalities of varying size in Southern Sweden. The study concentrates on departments within the local councils that are directly connected to the Swedish environmental law and the Swedish planning and construction law. One of the primary goals with the aforementioned laws is the achievement of sustainable development within one generation.The outcome of the study was that over half of the local politicians could correctly define sustainable development according to the World Commission on Environment and Development?s (WCED) definition.

The results of the study of the ideologies are then compared. The investigation is done with the party manifestos as starting point and with the analysis of ideas as theoretical tool.Main Results: The comparative analysis, based on the parties? ideological views, shows specific party constellations are more probable than others.

The author of the study provides Wallyfy with thoughts and ideas about the website content and functionality. The main problem of the study was to explore what makes good content in social media for the potential users of Wallyfy, also using this insight to provide Wallyfy with directions for making decisions regarding both functionality and content. The theory of the study is being used as a starting point for understanding the phenomenom social media and to easier grasp the problem. The method of the study is based on user- centered thinking in design, where the author seeks to understand the participant?s emotions, values and dreams.

Denna studie avser att undersöka hur unga akademiker upplever arbetslöshet, och även att undersöka vilka aspekter av arbetslösheten som är mest problematiska för målgruppen. Vidare syftar studien till att undersöka vilka yrkesrelaterade mål de unga akademikerna har, och vilka hinder de upplever står i vägen för att nå dessa. Sex semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med unga akademiker som är, eller har varit, arbetslösa de senaste två åren. Dessutom användes en insändare från en ung, arbetslös akademiker som empiri. Resultatet visar att de mest problematiska aspekterna av arbetslöshet för målgruppen verkar vara förlusten av tidsstruktur, minskad inkomst som i sin tur leder till uteslutning från vuxenvärlden, känslor av hopplöshet, nedstämdhet, ineffektivitet och ilska.

Banken har genomgått en ständig förändring sedan den etablerades. I början fanns bara bankkontor men idag har den utvidgats med bland annat internetbank, telefonbank och bankomater. Det mesta tyder på att banken kommer att fortsätta att förändras och utveckla sina tjänster och erbjudanden.Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att beskriva hur banktjänsterna borde ändras utifrån ungdomars bankvanor och syn på banken. Detta för att hänga med i denna förändring och kunna hålla konkurrensen med de andra bankerna. Dagens ungdom är nästa generation ut på bankmarknaden och det är då extra viktiga att ta till sig denna nya målgrupp.Vi har valt att undersöka bankvanor hos ungdomar i årskurs tre på gymnasiet.

Stormwater is surface runoff water that originates from precipitation or snowmelt and that on hardened surfaces prevents to infiltrate the ground. In city areas stormwater can consists of major amounts pollutants and when reaching a lake or watercourse it can cause damages on vegetation and animals. Therefore it is important to treat polluted stormwater before it reaches the recipient. The municipality of Örebro have since the 90ies an extensive work with treatment of stormwater in sedimentation ponds. A new stormwater treatment project is planned in an industrial estate in Skebäck, Örebro.

This report shows the process of the development of a sensor module for the seed drills of Väderstad Verken AB. The module is supposed to replace existing solutions, provided that it is better from both a constructional- and an economical aspect. The purpose of the sensor is to continuously give the driver information about the level of height of the front- and drilling tools and the main purpose of the sensor is to allow the seeds to be placed at the desired depth. This report is the result of a degree project in building engineering, at an advanced level. The project evaluated a building from a technical and historical point of view, and focused on its energy consumption, particularly the energy used for heating. The building in question was a small apartment building in Strömsholm, Sweden. It was made in 1902, from vertical logs, a not so common form of the traditional log house. The goal of the project was to evaluate if the energy consumption could be reduced in accordance with building preservation regulations, that is without damaging any of the building?s cultural or historical values.The building was surveyed with the help of archive and literature studies, interviews and inspections.

Microproduction, also called distributed generation, is something that has become more and more popular in the electric grid. Microproduction can however lead to unacceptable performance if several units are installed in the same low voltage network. It is therefore good to know a limit where the performance of the low voltage network becomes unacceptable based on given parameters. This limit is usually called hosting capacity.In this report the hosting capacity with respect to voltage and current have been studied in three low voltage networks which are located in Falu Elnäts concession area. This has been done by simulations in a GIS-program where critical times of the grid have been simulated.

Specifically the aims of this thesis have been to make a rough description of the largest competitive companies? products within the same market, explore and put together a brief theoretical foundation of contemporary research and produce concrete examples of ideas for digital applications.

I have been interested of their own views about their own knowledge and experience in the subject, information seeking on the Internet. The focus is on what they perceive as problematic, what skills they consider they have and what needs they have in terms of teaching. Data were collected via questionnaires.
