Konceptstudie av eltransmission för 8-hjulsdrivet fordon

SEP Modular Armoured Tactical System is the next generation of military vehicles developedby BAE Systems Hägglunds AB. At present time, BAE Systems Hägglunds AB aredeveloping a 6-wheel electrical hybrid and a conventional 8-wheel vehicle. The questionformulation was summarized as: ?In which ways can the electrical transmission in a hybriddriveline for SEP be designed, when the surrounding fixed interfaces are kept and the unity ofcomponents within SEP is maximized??. The purpose of this master thesis was to study avariety of concepts for hybrid propulsion. The aim with the study was to examine how an8-wheel SEP can be designed for electrical hybrid propulsion.BAE Systems Hägglunds AB requested a unity of components with the existing drive systemsfor SEP 6- and 8-wheel concerning hub reduction, wheel suspensions, drive shafts and axlegears. The developed systems for steering and cooling should be kept if possible and use of20?rims was a requirement. The work started with a background study and was followed by a phase of conceptdevelopment. A range of concepts for driveline layouts were compiled. The work focused onplacement of electrical motors, gears and power electronics. The concepts were evaluatedfrom a worked-out model and three of the concepts were chosen for further development. These concepts had their gears dimensioned and their shifting mechanisms designed. The result of the study showed that two of the concepts satisfied the requirements and werenominated for additional work, but their estimated development time differs. The twoconcepts have great potential to be used in more vehicles than SEP. Suggested future taskswere among others detailed design of gears, electrical motors and adjacent components
