Detta arbete påvisar att en effekthöjning kan åstadkommas på en motor som arbetar enligt Ottoprincipen med bibehållen driftsäkerhet. Slutsatser om motormodifieringar och komponentutbyten drogs efter en detaljerad litteraturstudie, teoretiska beräkningar samt intervjuer med yrkesverksamma inom området.En överladdad 2,5 liters bensinmotor med fem cylindrar av märket Volvo användes som bas för en prototyp.Motorn genomgick en modifiering med komponentbyten och programmering av ECU för att åstadkomma en effekthöjning från 193 till 320 hk med bibehållen driftsäkerhet.Resultaten presenteras med figurer och beräkningar där testresultaten från motorn i original mot modifierat utförande jämförs, därefter följer en diskussionsdel om vad som kunde gjorts för att nå ett bättre resultat..

The purpose of this study was to examine the relation between self-determination theory and its three basic needs: competence, autonomy and relatedness, and commitment to change in an organizational change. Another purpose was to examine if the quality of the communication and the effects on the organization and way to work can predict commitment to change. Considering that organizational changes is very common today there is an interest to ease and improve the change process. The survey contained the scales Commitment to change scale and Basic need satisfaction at work scale and the participants were 39 office-workers who recently had gone through an organizational change. The result indicated that it?s possible to predict commitment to change from self-determination theory, communication and effects on organization and way to work.

The aim of this essay was to investigate how religious topics and events are presented in five coursebooks in social studies. To do this the following questions were answered: In which context do discussions about religion take place? Are religions brought up in different contexts? To which extent do discussions about religion occur? The method consisted of a both quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The results of this essay showed that discussion regarding religion in social studies coursebooks mainly focuses on wars, conflicts, terrorism and to some degree the human rights. Islam was the religion that occurred most frequently in the coursebooks.

Den här rapporten undersöker distansutbildningar vid Högskolan i Kalmar, på Institutionen för kommunikation och design (IKD). Dels tas det upp hur IKD jobbar med distansstudier idag men även hur distansutbildning fungerar och hur man kan förbättra denna. Anledningen är att distansutbildningar idag är ett utvecklingsområde där det ständigt händer nya saker. Distansutbildning är kanske på väg att revolutionera sättet på vilket vi idag bedriver utbildning, både i grundskolan och upp till högskola/universitet.Uppdraget kommer från lärarna på IKD som känner att de vill förbättra sin situation. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av etnografiska studier där undervisning observerades och lärare intervjuades.

This essay is an ideographic study over the capacity of high school students to use the Internet with source criticism, and their attitudes towards this media. It?s a qualitative study whose main purpose is to seek out how the students reflect upon the problems facing them when searching facts and information over the internet.The focus group is six 18 year old high school students, who are studying in a normal sized town in the middle of Sweden, and are about to finish their studies in the program for social sciences. The study was made through interviews, one on one with the students,The results of the analysis have shown that even if students not necessarily use a pre meditated method when searching for information over the internet, they do have a basic understanding of the matter, especially concerning the nature of the source, who published it and why. Not all students made any thorough comparison with other, already established media, such as TV or books, but the analysis made it clear that they more or less deliberately saw the established media as more trustworthy in general.

In my study I have participated at the Fifth Dimension / Active Worlds site in Villa Gymnastiken in Ronneby, where I have worked both as an assistant to the project leader and as a researcher, but also as a participant together with the children. The children are working in a virtual world called Femtedim, created in a internet-based program named Active Worlds Education Universe. The Femtedim-world are bridging together two physical worlds in Ronneby and Copenhagen. My main focus is on an intervention that occurred in the 12th of March when the research-team in Copenhagen, which runs the project in Denmark, decided to create a new challenge for the children since some of them started to get bored. They added gravitation to the Femtedim-world, which lead to a few different reactions among the children. Most of the children didn´t like it and were very hostile towards the idea that they would not be able to fly around freely in the Femtedim-world.

This thesis is set out as a testing of the crosscutting cleavages theory on twocontemporary cases. The aim is to test the explanation process of the crosscutting theory applied to the political and social situations in Belgium and Switzerland and furthermore to examine potential conflicts in pluralistic states. Our main questionis: How can the crosscutting cleavages theory explain the different outcomes ofsocial coexistence, even with the states numerous similarities? We have examined the two federal states through their social divisions of language, region, religion and socio-economy. Our findings show that both Belgium and Switzerland possess divisions in the above mentioned variables, which in most cases are cumulative structured.

This study investigates the teaching strategies of four teachers, and determines which teaching strategies give better results in mathematics at the middle school level? Result here means the knowledge level of the students. The result has been measured through leave out a mathematical test, which I leave out designed. Teaching strategies have been assessed through interviews with teachers and observations of their lessons.My study shows that to go through the lessons thoroughly in the traditional way, and open discussions with the whole class are best for students achievements.The information available, however, is too limited to draw some general conclusions, but my study can be seen more like a counter-example to the general praxis that is short lectures and individual assessment with one to one communication when teaching mathematics..

Bakgrunden till vårt val av ämnesområde har uppkommit eftersom vår uppfattning är att den undervisning som sker i värdegrundsfrågor, många gånger fungerar i klassrummen, ändå uppstår konflikter av olika slag utanför klassrummet, till exempel på skolgården eller i korridorerna. Syftet är att, genom en kvalitativ studie, undersöka lärares uppfattningar av villkor för värdegrundsarbetets betydelse för eleverna i skolans tidiga år. I studien analyseras hur lärare förstår samspelet mellan å ena sidan undervisning i värdefrågor och å andra sidan elevers tillämpning i deras praktik. Metoden baseras på enskilda intervjuer med sex lärare som arbetar i skolans tidiga år. I studien redogörs kortfattat för tre perspektiv på lärande, vilka är tolkade ur respondenternas utsagor.

Some word processing programs save information that not all users of the program are aware of. This information consists of a number of things. Example of that is who the writer of the document is, the time it took to write it and where on the computer the document is saved. Text that has been changed or removedcan also be saved. This information is not shown in the program and the user will therefore not be aware of its existence.

SammanfattningGymnasieskolan har genomgått olika reformer vilka har fått betydande konsekvenser för skolan. Införandet av kärnämnen på samtliga program har lett till att gymnasieskolan befinner sig i ett krisläge där elever inte slutför sina studier eller också tar studenten med icke godkända betyg. Forskningen, som ligger till grund för debatten i skolan, menar att åtgärder bör genomföras. En av de åtgärder som lyfts fram är samverkan mellan kärnämneslärare och karaktärsämneslärare. Olika styrdokument för gymnasieskolan betonar också samverkan.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva olika lärares uppfattningar och erfarenheter av samverkan, samt att belysa vilka hinder och förutsättningar som lärarna ser för samverkan.

Utbildning blir allt viktigare. För dem som saknar en gymnasial utbildning har det blivit svårareatt få ett jobb. Läsåret 2009/2010 var 88,2 procent behöriga till gymnasieskolans nationellaprogram. För den som är obehörig är Individuella programmet ett alternativ, där elever under ettår kan skaffa sig behörighet. Det har visat sig att elever som går ett år på det Individuellaprogrammet (IV) och sedan studerar på ett nationellt program i högre grad än andra, görstudieavbrott.

Earlier studies and research on the subject of perception and social media during the working process resulted in a change of the problem. At first the focus of the study was to examine how social media affects the perception of a brand although later on the problem had to be developed to instead examine if social media reflects the perception of a brand. The purpose of this study is to figure out if social media reflects consumer?s perception of a brand. This will contribute to company?s knowledge on how important social media is in their branding and will give pointers on how many resources that is necessary to spend on branding in social media.

I denna rapport jämförs ett antal fria statistiska programvaror som gick att finna på och ladda ned från internet under våren 2007. Programmen som valts ut att ingå i denna studie ska ha uppfyllt följande krav:- heltäckande statistiskt program- helt kostnadsfritt- ingen prova-på-variant- kompatibelt med Windows XP (32-bitar) eller Windows Vista (64-bitar). De program som efter utsortering kom med i jämförelsen visade sig vara av ytterst skiftande inriktning och innehåll. Detta stämde inte alla gånger överens med den beskrivning som hemsidor eller tidigare jämförelser gett. Samtliga programvaror har jämförts, dels genom att studera om några förbestämda analyser går att genomföra och dels genom ett allmänt intryck om hur programmen är att arbeta med.

Ämnesområdet för denna uppsats är fascismen i Sverige efter andra världskriget. Uppsatsens huvudsakliga syfte är att undersöka Per Engdahls ideologi efter andra världskriget utifrån den fascitiska ideologins struktur. Uppsatens sekundära syfte är att undersöka om hans ideologi förändrades efter andra världskriget, om den gjorde det och vad det kan berott på. I uppsatsen har fyra olika politiska program från Nysvenska rörelsen undersökts, alla skrivna av Per Engdahl, mellan åren 1958 till 1979. I uppsatsen har en ideologianalys använts som metod för att dels undersöka det manifesta samt det latenta budskapet i Engdahls politiska program.
