Parlamentarisk nationalism i Europa: en analys av tre europeiska nationalistiska partier och deras politiska utveckling

Den nationalstatliga ordningen har idag under ungefär 350 år fungerat som en norm för hur stater skall organisera sig internt och externt. Idag håller dock denna norm på att luckras upp på grund av globaliseringen. Nationalstaterna möter de nya utmaningarna genom att offra en del av suveräniteten till överstatliga organ som på bättre sätt kan möta globaliseringens problem. Den Europeiska unionen är en av dessa överstatliga sammanslutningar. Uppsatsen syftar till att klarlägga hur nationalismen har utvecklats i tre nationalistiska partier. Genom att analysera hur olika former av nationalism tar sig uttryck i traditionellt nationalistiska partier så kan slutsatser dras om hur riktningen på det europeiska samarbetet kommer att bli.

A wish for a higher standard of living has driven the rate of consumption in Sweden. Mainfocus in business is on a higher growth and profitability where some companies use a lowprice strategy to win competitive advantage. The positive consumption pattern spiral is oftendiscussed in media, while criticism is limited and often refers to the environment. In order toreduce our ecological footprint we should consume more sustainably. Död eller levande? : Vad anser branschfolk i skivbolagen om bolagens positionoch roll i Sverige?

I denna uppsats läggs fokus på skivbranschen och vad folk inom branschen anser omdess funktion och roll.Syftet med uppsatsen är att återge skivbolagens egna tankar och åsikter och jämföradessa med årsredovisningar från branschorganisationer, rapporter, litteratur,vetenskapliga artiklar samt den allmänna uppfattningen hämtad från blogg- ochforuminlägg och tidningsartiklar.Uppsatsen bygger till största delen av intervjuer med totalt sex personer som ärverksamma i branschen från den allra högsta nivån av multinationella bolag till deabsolut minsta.Den bild som framkommer i uppsatsen visar på att den vanligt förekommandeuppfattningen om att skivbolagen idag spelat ut sin roll är felaktig. Skivbolagen hjälperartister med bl.a. marknadsföring, utvecklingen av musik, all administrering samt att dehar de resurser som krävs för att nå ut till den breda massan. Det är dock beroende påvar i karriären man befinner sig och vad artisten själv vill uppnå. För vissa kan detsåledes vara onödigt.

Androgynitetens betydelse för det kreativa uttrycket i To the Lighthouse

A growing need to strengthen ones position on the market, even as a city in competition with other cities, has resulted in an increasing number of municipalities developing brand platforms. When the city of Umeå developed their platform, they identified decision makers and investors as one of four important target groups.The aim of this study is to explore the portrayed image of the city of Umeå in two Swedish trade journals which addresses the specific target group decition makers and investors in both public and private sector. The aim is also to compare the image of Umeå in the two papers, to the ambition of the municipality, expressed in the brand platform.In order to make the observations as firmly established as possible, the method of the study is a combination of a quantitative content analysis and a qualitative text analysis. The study draws on the theories of Eli Avraham and Philip Kotler, concerning how to improve city images and how to market a specific city among others. The study shows that the city of Umeå in large extent is portrayed in accordance to the ambition which the municipality expressed in the brand platform.Umeå is displayed as an expanding city.

Utformning av hamnområdet i Arvika : stadsbild och offentliga miljöer

The harbour in Arvika is closed down and the industry that has been established in the area is now beeing wound up. A deepened comprehensive plan for the area is under progress in the municipality. The intentions are for instance that the harbour should be integrated with the city and that Arvika is facing a lake should be more apparent from the city center. The harbour should also contribute to a more attractive city. These intentions have hence been the starting point of my undergraduate theses, which has resulted in a proposal on how to develop the harbour. During the process I have analysed the city image, how the area is used today and the public places in the city centre.

Förpackningsdesign i en varumärkesstärkande process : En fallstudie av varumärket Coca-Cola

Nowadays, packaging design is seen as a competitive tool and its importance for corporations is becoming increasingly apparent. The rivalry within homogeneous markets puts high demands on differentiation and the ability to create something more than the product itself. With this fundamental question, the soft drink industry has been examined and a case study of the brand Coca-Cola has been performed. The aim is to investigate how packaging design is used as a tool for strengthening a brand and to explore which additional values this contributes. In addition, the study observes the most important factors in the development of packaging design.A theoretical work of reference, consisting primarily of theories related to branding, design development and visual identity, has been developed to support the study.

Syntaktisk komplexitet hos ungdomar och vuxna med läs- och skrivsvårigheter

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are any differences regarding syntactic complexity in written language between persons with (phonologically based) reading and writing difficulties and a control group. Earlier research has pointed to such a difference, indicating that texts written by subjects with reading and writing difficulties display a lower grade of syntactic complexity than text written by control groups.Two texts each from 48 subjects (24 from each category) were collected. The subjects were divided in two age groups, one consisting of 15-year-olds and the other of university students (adults in various ages). The subjects were selected through a word decoding test and a spelling test, where the lowest performing formed the group of reading and writing difficulties and the highest performing formed the control groups. Syftet med denna uppsats är att kasta ljus över ämnet Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Inom detta ämne kommer fokus att ligga på det initiativ som heter Global Compact (GC), och som blivit föremål för såväl beundran som skepticism. Målet är att utröna om GC i Sverige blivit, eller är i riskzonen för att bli, en front för det som i uppsatsen kallas kulörtvätt, eller om det tvärtom är en välfungerande sammanslutning som hjälper till att sprida CSR. The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

En studie av en industrirobots beteende vid borrning

In the assembly process of airframe structures there are many drilled holes and on some parts the holes are mainly drilled manually with pneumatic handheld drilling machines. During conventional drilling in metal, burrs appear. To remove these burrs the parts of the structure must be separated and deburred before they can be put together for fastening. This is a time consuming measure and therefore expensive. To facilitate this process and lower production costs some parts of the process needs to be automated.A part of this thesis was a project in co-operation with Saab, Novator, Specma Automation and the University of Linköping.

Network Advantages in a Market Entry Context ? A study of the Swedish fashion business

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to research and analyze how the establishment in new markets of small and medium Swedish fashion companies can be made more efficient from a network perspective. Methodology: The researchers have decided to take a phenomenological standpoint and undertake an exploratory study in order to gain understanding of the phenomenon of market entry and the use of networks. The researchers have chosen to undertake a qualitative study and to adopt an abductive approach. Two ?case companies? have been chosen which are Filippa K and House of Dagmar.
